Installed 11g XE, started ok, sqlplus access ok, but APEX not running
Installed 11g XE, started ok, sqlplus access ok, firewall 8080, 1521, 2030, ports opened but no access to http://localhost:8080/apex/f?p=4950
I've done a "select current_date from dual" query from sqlplus using sys as sysdba and result is ok.
I've started database twice from startdb.bat lnk.
I checked that Oracle Services are ok and running.
I tried to shutdown windows firewall.
I rebooted windows.
I am using windows xp prof. sp3, chrome browser, and admin account.
I can see at forum that other users are in same situation like me.

I am installing XE 11g R2 32bit on windows 7 home premium 64bit.
I cannot get the home page to display:
http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/f?p=4950
http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/
lsnrctl status is similar to below but WITHOUT this portion:
Service "xe" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "xe", status READY, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
I can run sql command line and connect as system
SQL> select dbms_xdb.gethttpport from dual;
GETHTTPPORT
8080
I can start/stop database.
I can restart OracleServiceXE/OracleXETNSListener with no errors.
In the log files inside app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\config\log, there is only 1 "error" in line 23 of cloneDBCreation.log
SQL> shutdown immediate;
ORA-01109: database not open
I think somehow the http server is not started because there's no process listening to 8080?
Anyone can offer insight into this?
Thanks.Please post output of
set
lsnrctl stat
Another simple measure is to rename listener.ora to, say, listener.ora.moved. Then bounce the listener. Without listener.ora, default parameters apply.
Make sure there are no firewall/security products in the way of database instance and listener communication.
Example lsnrctl output for reference (this one happens to come from an older Beta install):

iam installing 11g xe it shows Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 127.0.0.1:8080 Try reloading the page
Check lsnrctl services output.
Have to have:
database instance running
listener running
http presentation service in `lsnrctl services` endpoints
Without the first two, there is no way number 3 will happen. And variations in the networking setup for the host can also prevent #3 from registering with the listener, even when #1 and #2 are working. -
SCOM 2012 Issue The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized
Hello All,
My SCOM 2012 console all of sudden stopped working when I changed the size of the SQL database for the SCOM server.
The setup is all on a virtual machine running windows 2012, with SQL 2012 running SCOM 2012 SP1. Everything was working until I made the SQL server database size change.
Now I am getting an error when I try to open the SCOM 2012 console. It just says Failed to connect to server servername.internaldomain.com The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized. Check the event log for more information.
here is the logs from the console app (the application logs are below this)

Why my apps are not transferring from PC to iPhone 5? When I connected to PC the icon shows when I select apps it show 'will install' but it never show on iPhone, I re installed iTunes, deleted all apps and downloaded again but its not working pls help.
Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

platform: windows server 2008 r2; ide: visual studio 2005 (installed the x64 development kit)
Hi, everyone.
I want to migrate my application to x64 platform from x86/win32 platform. I added x64 platform in visual c++ 2005 option, and compiled successfully. But the application can not start. When start it always pop up an alert dialog saying "The application
was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application." Meanwhile, it's worked well when I use win32 option to compile.
Someone says online, the dependency walker can detect some root cause. I used it, and found that IEFRAME.dll may be had some problem because when I double click it, pop up a dialogue saying "Errors were detected when processing "c:\windows\system32\IEFRAME.DLL".
See the log window for details.". But I can not resolve this issue.
Please help me.If I had to try to solve this:
I'd start by verifying that I can compile, and run a skeleton x64 Windows app. Just create one from scratch using the Windows Application project template, add the x64 platform, build it and run. Hopefully all goes well.
If that works, then I'd try trimming down your app to just its essentials. If you're not using revision control software, back up your projects now, because once you find the problem by hacking and slashing, you'll want to revert so you can make a
clean fix.
The first thing to do here is just put a return 0; in the beginning of WinMain to see if it's code at runtime that's causing the problem or something about the linking and dependent library loading.
I'm guessing that, even with return 0, you will still have a problem, which would suggest that you are perhaps still linking against a 32-bit version of a library or something like that. Start removing dependencies or references or libraries until
you can build and run your stripped-down application. Eventually you'll find the one reference/library that causes it to fail to load.
You can also check the debug window to see if some modules loaded correctly and others not.
You can also run
Process Monitor (sysinternals) to see which dll it was accessing when it failed to load.
Make sure you revert any changes you made while hacking and slashing, then make your platform fixes, and have another go.
I suspect that eventually you'll find that you've added a link library that is a 32-bit .lib or a component that references a 32-bit library. You'll have to make sure you specify the x64 .libs for whatever libraries you are using. Sometimes this
means that you have to change you additional linker directories to point to the x64 libs instead of the x86/win32 libs. Be very careful about your platform when specifying linker libraries, directories, etc.
It could also be that the x64 version of a dll has been copied to your output folder rather than the x86 version, assuming they have the same name. You'll have to sort out your SDKs and get the right .libs and .dlls.
Make sure that your settings and property pages are set correctly for Release and Debug, and for x86 and x64. -
Converted access app to apex when run get no data found; table does have da
COnverfted MS Access app to apex. WHen I run the appliation I get no data found.
However the table does have data. HOw do I see what is actually running?
The pre-converted form saids its based on a query. The form and the query shows up as valid. I then converted the form. When I run it I get no data found. If I take the query that the form is based on and run in sqlplus I get data.
Another confusing thing is when I look at the page for the converted form, there is nothing in the source area for the region where the converted query results should be.
Did the conversion not work? How can I tell what is the source? Where should the results from the query be located? Its a standard SQL query:
SELECT xtbl_MSDS_to_CAS.msds_id,
xtbl_MSDS_to_CAS.cas,
xtbl_MSDS_to_CAS.alias,
xtbl_MSDS_to_CAS.amount,
xtbl_MSDS_to_CAS.veh_prod,
xtbl_MSDS_to_CAS.compliance
FROM xtbl_MSDS_to_CAS
The name of the above query lets say for example purposes is MYQUERY.
After looking at the page def I see that the way the conversion tool worked is that in the page definition it has this in the Processes Section:
After Header:
Fetch Row from MYQUERY.
Then it says automated Row fetch.
I compared this to another form that was converted thru the migration APex tool as well and on that form that does work I found that:
The query(form) was converted and placed in a region and the source has the query. THat is, it was not in the process section but in the region: source section.
So why does the conversion tool decide to convert one and populate as a region source and the other as a process in the page definition?
THis is all very confusing.
Hope you were able to follow me. -

I unistalled Premeire ... but did not get the " CS6 uninstallation, you are given a chance to select which components to uninstall. Leave Encore deselected" ... I"m confused ... the instructions NEVER told me somewhere to install Encore... only to uninstall Premiere ... when I did ... I did not get the option to deselect any options... I then downloaded the MAC .dmg file that it says to download and upon launching choose "Encore" "premier" or "both" ... but it just says the application needed to open the file is missing ... I am now manually downloading Premiere again ... but I'm just back where I started...
Is there any clear instructions online ... I can't find anything - I"m not running a trail version - I have a full year membership ....The bottom of CS5-thru-CC PPro/Encore tutorial list http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1448923 has more information
If it is confusing, simply do NOT try and uninstall Premiere Pro CS6 after you activate it so Encore CS6 will work... PProCS6 will take some space, but it will not stop PProCC from working -
