I did a search and the only instance of that name is with the Tom Tom GPS folder and that is not an exe file

hello paisley157, this error might be caused by security programs such as zone alarm - please temporarily disable those programs for the following procedure:
*download the full firefox setup file from getfirefox.com
*uninstall firefox on the machine (but don't chose to delete your custom files & settings in the uninstaller!)
*manually delete all remaining files in the firefox program folder, which usually resides in ''C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\''
*reinstall firefox

Downloaded 6.0.1 and now get XULRunner error: Platform vers 6.0 is not compable with minVersion =6.01 maxVersion =6.01 - Any ideas? It won't run. I'm sunk.

I'm running XP. What else do you need to know except that I keep getting the XULRunner error? I've even removed it from the system (through the control panel function) and reinstalled - also rebooted.

Here is what I had to do to finally get it to work every time. ZA > Internet Protected > Browser Virtualization > Advanced Settings > Anti-Keylogger > Block programs that secretly record key stroks (checked on) > Only in allegedly secure sessions (radio button on)
The alternative to this last one "Always (may conflict with some Web sites and programs)" apparently does conflict with FF 6.0.1.

Tearing hair out because there is also a request to check whether another copy of Firefox may be installed, and have hence uninstalled and deleted every reference to Mozilla and Firefox several times, and hence have lost all bookmarks, cookies etc. Have to accept the latter, but still can't load the latest version. I need to silently upgrade from 3.5 to 7 but get an error message after 7 install. Platform version 7.0 is not compatible with minVersion = 1.9.1

I'm trying to silently upgrade my environment to FF 7. I've gotten the silent install working great, it puts in my Proxy Server info, reassigns the home page and all that. But, the last version we pushed out was FF 3.5. If a user had that on their PC and they run the FF7 install, they get weird messages when clicking on the icon.
