Installed 7.0 on computer yesterday, will not come on when I clock on
I installed the update for Firefox yesterday and now when I click on it to go to Firefox, clicking twice, the arrow & hour glass disappear and nothing happens. When I updated yesterday, it asked me a question about the apps or something on my computer and I may have answered when I didn't want to but I cannot get to the internet using Firefox now. What can I do?
Not sure what the problem is, but you may have temporary dificulty getting firefox 7 back again, IF it is not already installed.
(Updates from Firefox 6 to firefox 7 were apparently [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forums/contributors/707670#post-42774 suspended] yesterday. It appears an update probably firefox 7.1 is being released to correct a problem with it loosing some extension updates as it updated firefox in some instances. )
What exactly is your current problem
* is it that firefox will open but not connect to the internet ?
* one problem is security software or firewals not recognising the new software, they may need resetting see also

It's under warranty. Take it in to have Apple fix it.
The "flashing ?" means the machine can't find the start up disk. The clicking noise is a give away that the drive is damaged. -

A real Canon brand battery and a real Canon brand charger?If not it may be a faulty cheap battery and/or charger. If it is, your 7D might need service.

Hotsync Manager will not come up when I double click on Hotsync - device will not Hotsync
I have a Windows 7 64 bit PC and am trying to hotsync using USB to a MEZ1000 Palm device from Aceeca. I am using their 64 bit driver for the USB. I installed Palm Desktop 6.2 and the Acceca 64 bit driver about 4 months ago and it was working fine. A few days ago I tried to hotsync and it wouldn't. Tried rebooting PC and uninstalling and reinstalling the Palm desktop and Aceeca driver. I have done that 2 - 3 times following the clean uninstall instructions that I found on this forum. The install hangs when it tries to configure the registry. I can see the hotsync.exe process in the task manager. The install will not proceed past this point unless I end the process in the Task Manager. Also, in searching the PC for anything named hotsync, I found a file called Report.wer that was dated 04/02/12 (the day I first tried to hotsync and failed) in C:\Users\ADMIN\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Critical_Hotsync.exe_599940f2117296adef2f8cf88fb71dd13d49811c_453e7b5c

Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)Okay - I got preview back - it seems to have gotten hung and corrupted, so I went to library and fixed the permissions there
Click on "Go" in the Finder menu bar while holding down ⌘ key and you will see Library appear in the pull-down menu, click on it and it will take you to the "Library Folder".
Hit the ⌘I keys, to get to pull up the “Get Info” window on the “Library Folder”.
Unlock the pad lock in the lower right hand corner.
Click on the + symbol to add a user.
When prompt add the 'root user'.
Give the root user Read/Write privileges.
Lock the pad lock and open Preview.
But that wasn't enough so I went back to disk repair and even though I had just run it , this tim it fixed a slew of permissions problems -
I then restarted and viola - I was able to use Preview again.
Computer is running a little fast too.

IPhone 5 spontaneously turned off yesterday will not come back on
Yesterday while charging my iPhone 5 it just turned off. No impact or anything it was just sitting there. Unplugging and re plugging the charger does nothing. Pressing and holding the home and power button does nothing. Trying to connect to iTunes does nothing. When plugged to the PC I get "USB device not recognized." I also keep getting this message is I press in the home button so I'm getting some kind of communication between the PC and phone. The phone has been slow and apps have been freezing since iOS update and now this has happened. I'm not sure what else I can try. Has anyone else experienced this?
Do the reset again, but this time hold the two buttons until you see the apple logo and then release.

It originally told me that I didn't have the required codec, so that's why I downloaded flip4mac. It's still giving me that message, and Flip4mac won't open at all. Quicktime won't open either. It shows up in the dock but won't open. Can anyone help?
There are a number of Windows Media codecs that have never been ported to Mac, and the copy protection system also has never been ported. So it's quite possible that whatever this file is you downloaded, you will never be able to play it in Mac OS X. Without knowing what the file is, however, it's not possible to be certain.

My webcam will not come on when I am using a usb port for my mic.
I have recently started having an issue with my isight not coming on if there is an agregate audio device plugged in, such as my usb presonus, I would like to be able to simultaneously Record in GarageBand or other recording software while recording video imovie. This used to work fine So I'm not sure if I changed a setting or what happened. Please help me with this issue.

I have an Audiobox 44vsl that plugs into a USB port to be used as a mic/ instrument interface with my MacBook Pro.
When I open Garageband or Presonus Audio software I can record and all that but if i try to simultaneously use iSight such as in iMovie or Skype it doesn't even turn the camera on (no green light) but if I unplug the Audiobox it works fine. I used to be able to do this just fine but just recently it stopped working. -

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

I have an iMac that I am running OSX 10.8.3 on. I keep trying to install 10.8.4 but it will not install. I tried updating and installing several times and it restarts the computer but it will not install the software. My machine is about 8 months old so, it's in the newish range. HELP!
Sometimes the App Store version doesn't work correctly. In this case, install 10.8.4 with the Combo version > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
The Combo installer is the safest way to update OS X, and it allows you to update more than one computer with a single download -

A Safe Mode boot takes longer than a normal boot so be patient.

It sounds like the device drivers for your iPhone are working in Windows, but the phone is not showing in iTunes. You should be able to get that showing again with the steps in this article:

1. Update iTunes
Check that you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer. In iTunes, select "Check for updates" in the Help menu.

Well first you have to figure out what is wrong with the machine and solve that problem first.
Your post is very vague on what occured, and there are many types of "crashes" it really depends upon what see on the screen and what the hardware does, we can't see it to tell you, so you have to tell us.
I suggest you run through these user tips and provide more information about your hardware.

If this is going way over your head, there are local PC/Mac techs that will assist you for a fee, Apple only does hardware repairs and is advised to use them if you discover it is, especially if under warranty/AppleCare.
Hard drive and RAM upgrades can be handled yourself or by a outside tech in many older models of Mac, but don't expect Apple to cover the new parts.
