Installed Acrobat 9 Std on 3 PCs

hello
i installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard unwittingly on 3 pcs. then i uninstalled it again on the last pc, without deactivating  the licence. now it says on the two other pcs, that the key is not valid, because it has been used to often and i should deactivate it on one pc. do i have to install the software on the third pc again and deactivate it? will this work?

  • Trying to download and install Acrobat 8 Std

I have a new Windows 8.1 computer. I have de-activated Acrobat 8 Std on my old computer. I am trying to download and install on my new computer. When doing so, Adobe appears to only offer Pro, and wont accept my serial number. Suggestions?

If you did not save your previous download you may be out of luck. To date, I have not heard of anyone being successful with AA 8 on Win 8.1, but that does not mean it is not possible. I suspect it may not work, but only trying will answer that question. If you search the forum, you may find some of the old posts to find the Adobe person to contact through PM to see if he can give you a link. They no longer post the link for std.

  • How do i install Acrobat X Std on a new computer

i have found my license number and have downloaded the file.  however during installation it says that the license is invalid.  to my knowledge it is only on one computer.

    Hey dwginsltx,
Could you please let me know what version of OS are you using.
Please share the screenshot of exact error message that appears on your screen while installing Acrobat X.
    Hope to hear from you.

  • Error 1401 when installing Acrobat 9 Std on Windows 8.1 on MacMini running Parallels

I am running Windows 8.1 using Parallels version 10.1.3 on a MacMini running OS X 10.10.1. Partway through the install when the status is "Writing system registry values" I get this error:
"Error 1404. Could not create key \Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\Convert to Adobe PDF. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
FYI: I have installed and and uninstalled this very product several times before on my previous machine, but that was running Windows Pro in a bootcamp situation, not through Parallels.
Thank you for any help at all.

  • Re-Install Acrobat X Std

I have Adobe Acrobat X Standard on my notebook and want to install it on my desktop as well.
I have the serial number but cannot find a link to download it.
    Any ideas?

Worked like a charm - thanks!... but now it says my serial number is invalid. I am looking right here at the card that says DO NOT DISCARD... "this card includes the serial number for Adobe Acrobat X Standard..."
I entered it with and without dashes... now what...

  • Have Acrobat XI Std, installation of Acrobat XI Pro fails, version incompatibility

Running Windows 7 Pro on work Thinkpad.
Trial version of Acrobat XI Pro as of Dec 4, 2014 is 11.0.07
Licensed version of installed Acrobat XI Std is 11.0.09
Installer downloads, but when the splash panel displays and I press Next, I get the message that a more functional version is available and it bails.
Obvious why the error occurred. Makes me wonder if Pro features are hidden inside Std, the way IBM used to take the DP Manager out to lunch while the CE flipped a switch for more MIPS upgrade. ;-)
I simply want to check out the multi-media features before committing to upgrade.
Will try using another computer, thought you would like to know about the problem.

Sadly you cannot run Acrobat Standard and Acrobat Pro at the same time. The message is rather the wrong way round but basically a hint in the right direction.
You would need to uninstall Acrobat Standard. Be sure you have EVERYTHING you need to reinstall including disks and serial numbers before considering this!

  • Re-installing Acrobat after uninstalling and doing a clean re-install of the OS

I purchased Acrobat 8 Standard on 5/16/2007 and saved it to the cloud a few days ago before uninstalling/re-installing XP SP3. My computer tech cautioned me about re-installing the cloud-saved up-to-date version as it wouldn't be compatable with my new user files. He told me to install the 2007 version and then run update within the program. So I ask (having found the location on the Adobe site where I can download), is this going to be the same program I purchased, un-updated? If not, what's my work-around?
    Thanks, RW

    Hi walkerlaw1,
Am not sure what files you have saved to the Cloud. Is it the setup file or the Folder in your Program Files?
Adobe recommends archiving the setup file for future use.
Acrobat 8 Std. is no longer available on our website to download. If you have purchased an Electronic Download (ESD) version from Adobe then you can login to your account on Adobe and find the download link in your Adobe account. Yes, this would be the same program you purchased. And as recommended by your computer tech, you can download and install Acrobat 8 Std. and then run the updater within the program to update it to the latest patch.

  • Acrobat Pro media to install Acrobat Std

Hi, can I use Acrobat Professional media to install Acrobat Standard.  By using Acrobat Std serial no

No you will need to find the proper Acrobat Standard installer which corresponds to your serial number.  If you purchased Acrobat Standard from Adobe and choose the download option then it maybe available under your account.  Please see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1006208?tstart=0&promoid=KBHJQ for information on how to download your purchased Adobe software.

  • Reinstalling factory-installed Acrobat Std X

I need to reinstall a factory-installed Acrobat X Standard. I have the serial number. I can't find WHERE on the Adobe website to access this kind of download. Thanks

TherE's no specific download for OEM versions. If you have a serial, download the trial and activate it. Otehr than that look through the restore/ install disks that came with the computer/ you burned based from their backup image.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 STD, commenting toolbar

    Hi,
I've got an issue, when trying to review and comment on a PDF in internet explorer, the commenting toolbar doesn't appear. therefore i cannot comment and review pdf's.
    O.S. is Windows 7.
    Internet explorer 8.
    Adobe Standard 9.
I've done some troubleshooting by install Adobe 7 STD and Adobe 9 PRO, Both of these the commenting toolbar shows but not with Adobe 9 STD.
I've been struggling with this for the last two days, please help.

    Thank you for the response.
Do you know what the logic was to make such a dramatic change - since all the previous versions of Acrobat permitted the forms toolbar in the regular view?  They must have thought this format was better.  Any ideas?

  • Install acrobat 9.0 serial number not valid?

I upgraded my PC and want to move my Acrobat 9.0 standard over from my old PC. I downloaded the installation file for 9.0 std from the website and ran it. It asks for my serial number. I input my serial number as shown on my account for my registered software but it tells me it is invalid and won't let me install. I chatted with support and they validated that my serial number is for 9.0 std. Why won't it show as valid when I try to install it on my new PC?

    Hi andym,
Did you install Acrobat 9 as part of Creative Suite 4? If so, please see Error "Invalid serial number" | Acrobat 9 | CS4.
Please let us know if that document hits the mark.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Can't find download for Acrobat 9 STD--the Acrobat 9 download is for PRO, and my serial number not valid for PRO.

I'm switching to a new laptop, and I want to bring my Acrobat 9 STD with me. Deactivated it on the old laptop, went to the download page for Acrobat 9 and downloaded it, got to the part in the installation where I entered my serial number, and the installation wizard said it was invalid. That's when I noticed the download was for Acrobat 9 PRO, not STD. I used the support chat and explained it to the support person, and he gave me a link for the 9 STD download. Unfortunately, it was the same page. I downloaded it again. Still 9 PRO. Anyone else have any ideas where they're hiding the Acrobat 9 STD download?

Finding the file all depends on how you did the install and if you downloaded the install file. If the install file was downloaded to the TEMP folder, there is a slight chance it may still be there (should be in Windows>TEMP, not sure on MAC). It may have a name similar to the Pro download of AcroPro90_efg.exe. The Pro would be change to Std and I am not sure what the efg stands for. I would search for AcroStd9*.exe. There seems to be a download for AA 9 std available at http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-x-10-pro-reader-suite-direct-download-links-ddl.ht ml. I have no idea if that works. I had found one place where a staff member said he is working on getting links up for all the older versions, not just the trials (that are Pro). I simply searched on Google for Acrobat 9 Standard files. I can't find the message by the staff, but there is one in the last week or two as I recall where a staff member was providing links for folks on an individual basis.
