I loaded Mozilla update 10. My home page got changed. I fixed that. Now when I go to my bank website, it doesn't recognize my password and I can't get in. I checked add-ons; all are enabled that should be. I cleared history before; what is going on?? How do I get back into my bank? When I called the bank, they get into the site from the same page I'm using by putting in my password; the same page on my computer tells me that the password is not valid??? I forgot my password and am trying to reset my ipod, but it won't work.It says that my ipod is in recovery mode and that I must restore it. I click ok, and then click on restore and update. Then it says connecting ipod software update server and a screen pops up with ipod software update on the top and iOS 5.1. It lists a bunch of stuff this update contains and on the bottom it says next, which I click and nothing happens, it just goes back to the ipod restore page. Help, what am I doing wrong?

Update to the latest version of iTunes. Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) users may need to download iTunes 10.6.3.
Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, followTroubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart.
Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw. -
Hi, I have the problem which iTunes cannot detect my iPhone 4s. I tried the steps you have provided in your troubleshooting, but it won't work for me because the Apple Mobile Devilce is perfectly installed on my windows. However, the driver "Microsoft teredo Tunneling adapter" has a yellow exclamation mark, which i believe means it's not installed correctly or something is wrong with it. This driver is under the Network Adapters (Please see picture below).
This is what happens when I connect my iPhone 4s to my laptop (Windows 7 Starter 32-bit)
1. The phone charges it's battery
2. I can open it in My Computer and import/export media files.
In iTunes
3. It start to sync until step 3 then stops.
4. The iPhone option with an arrow appears beside the iTunes Store, but when the arrow is clicked it disappears.
I hope you can provide me a solution for this problem.

For your iTunes issue with it not recognizing your iPhone, I would go ahead and suggest deleting iTunes and all of its components from your Windows computer and installing fresh.

As far as the arrow button that you click and the iPhone disappears, it sounds like you may be clicking on the eject button. Please take a look at the following article for information on the eject button in iTunes.

I changed my Apple ID to my new email address successfully for the iTunes and App store but it won't work for iCloud and it won't recognize my password. I read that this can't be done. How am I supposed to get into iCloud? I plan on getting rid of my old email address which is my old Apple ID so how is that going to work?

I changed my Apple ID to my new email and now cannot find any way to access icloud. Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access. This has nothing to do with iPhoto. When I have this type of problem I call tech support for my email service. They probably are the only source of the correct settings

My songs won't play on Windows 7 version of iTunes. Everything on my PC is up to date. Windows Media Player works fine. I followed the directions and nothing has changed. Itunes worked after reseting my computer to factory setting however had trouble again after syncing my iPod and iPod shuffle. Is this a coincidence or could it be the cause of the problem?

Have Adobe Creative Sweet Premium from a couple years ago. Did a new install of Windows 7 and Adobe, but CS won't activate. Probably did not de-activate the old product. I paid for it though and have the install disks and serial numbers.

That was a good start. Need one more helpful hint. I just found the Adobe DVDs. It is actually Creative Suite 5 Design Standard. It would be nice to put on a box without a DVD player. Can you please provide me with a download link for CS5 DS?

On my main hard drive I have been trying to reinstall CS4 but the process just stalls out with no error message. On my second hard drive when I click on any CS4 application, I get a message that "licensing for this product has expired" or something close to that. My second hard drive doesn't have any OS (Long story) but Apple is sending me an older OS that might run the License repair program. I was thinking the license repair program might fix why the reinstallation isn't working on my main (Yosemite) hard drive, but that's just a wild guess. I have always had problems with the CS4 Production Premium but Adobe has, through hours on the phone, figured out how to get me going again. With luck, maybe the older OS that apple is sending me will be able to run the license repair program on my second hard drive and I'll be able to use cs4 off that drive. Thanks for your reply. I don't know if anything I've written is helpful to you. If you are an Adobe tech a phone call might be nice. Dean -

Try this:
Sign out from the Creative Cloud app and Quit it (Quit option will be available after a few seconds).
Now move the following folders to desktop:
1) SLCache
Windows: OS Drive\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe
2) SLStore
Windows: OS drive\ProgramData\Adobe
Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe
3) OOBE
Windows: OS Drive\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe
Mac: /User/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Now launch Premiere Pro and sign in with your Adobe ID.
NOTE: Make sure your Anti Virus/Firewall is not blocking any Adobe activation servers. Alternately, you can also check your 'hosts' file for any changes.

I have a MacBook Pro and I have A LOT of files in there which I don't need anymore. And it's too much to sit and do it one by one so I want to completely reset it to factory settings. I tried booting it from the OS X CD by holding C during startup but it won't work. It just gets stuck on the white or gray screen with the apple logo. Nothing else. I'm assuming that it's because the software version on the Mac is 10.6.8 but the boot disk I'm using is 10.6.3? But I'm not sure.
I also tried booting the CD with holding the option key and choosing the disk, same problem.
Opening Disk Utility while regularly logged in, won't let me delete.
Also tried changing the setting of what to boot in on startup, still gets frozen on the apple logo.
Please what can I do to fix this and delete everything?

1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc. Insert the disc into the
optical drive and restart the computer. After the chime press and hold down the
"C" key. Release the key when you see a small spinning gear appear below the
dark gray Apple logo.
2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of
partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, set the format type to Mac
OS Extended (Journaled, if supported), then click on the Partition button.
3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed
with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
Assistant. Be sure you configure your initial admin account with the exact same
username and password that you used on your old drive. After you finish Setup
Assistant will complete the installation after which you will be running a fresh
install of OS X. You can now begin the update process by opening Software
Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your installation current. -
trying to connect to wireless at work, but the password won't work.... i try'd the same password on ipod... works fine... also i can use wireless at home... no prob....
any ideas?Powerbook G4, you may have a wireless card that is too old and doesn't support newer encryptions schemes like WPA or WPA2. What are you using as your wireless encryption algorithm at home?
Per my profile, you can see that I have a computer designed and manufactured eight years ago. It uses an old 802.11 "Airport" card; not "Airport Extreme" as does my Mac Pro. It doesn't do WPA or WPA2. If the wireless access point (WAP) at work is using those, you'll be prompted for a WEP password because your computer doesn't know any better. But it won't work.
So first thing you need to do is find out what does the WAP use. Next thing you need to do is go into your System profiler and see what kind of Airport card your Powerbook has.
If it's not an "Extreme" or "Express" or whatever, just a plain ol' "Airport" card, then you are SOL trying to use that to connect to your work's WAP if they are using WPA or WPA2. There are some USB wireless thingies that you can plug in to an available USB port and you can use that to access the work (and home) networks. I know that BDAqua has previously posted a URL or three that point to some inexpensive USB 802.11 transceivers that you could use on your Powerbook.
As a side note, if this is indeed the case for your situation, this would also imply that you are probably using an inferior (as in hacked/cracked) wireless encryption protocol at home. Once you get a WPA2-capable USB thingy, get in to your router's wireless setup and change it to WPA2-PSK-AES.
