Installed Adobe Reader - no license agreement

Installed Adobe Reader and when I try to use s]it says I need to sign license agreement but the agreement never comes up during installation.

If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement

I have installed adobe reader onto my Mac but when I open up an adobe pdf it tells me that i need to accept the end user license agreement, quite, and then open up a new browser but i have never seen the end user license agreement. What should I do in order to accept the end user license agreement even though it never pops up when i install adobe reader?

Make sure Readr is closed. Go to the Applications form, look for the Adobe Reader icon, double click on it, and follow the lead. Restart Reader when finished.

The free Rader does not require a license. Could it be that Mac OS is asking you for the password of your Mac? Or that you are required to launch Reader (open your Applications folder and doble click on the Reader icon) to accept the licence agreement? Please be as specific as you can.

  • Why can't I open PDF files on my iMac. I installed Adobe Reader and accepted the end user license, as instructed then quit the application and relaunched it and I still can't view the PDF document. The screen comes out black. Please advice. Thanks

Why can I view PDF files from the Web on my iMac even after I installed Adobe Reader and accepted the end user license agreement.I then quit the application relaunched it, as instructed snd still the PDF document comes out blank or black. Please advice. Thanks

Are you saying that Adobe Reader or Preview can't read PDF file that you download? Or, are you saying that you can't display PDF files in your Safari broweer? If the latter, then delete any AdobePDFViewer plugins you find in /Library/Internet Plug-ins/ and restart. That should allow Safari to display PDFs in its window. BTW, that's the worst place to view them. Better to download them and use Adobe Reader or Preview.

  • How to read the license agreement w/o Adobe Reader?

I am unable to read the license agreement for Adobe Reader so that I may install it. I have tried Notepad and WordPad, but neither give me a legible script. I don't see how the license can be legal if one can not access it to read it and agree to it!

Select one of the files, Choose GetInfo from the Finder's File menu, look for the field named "Open With", and choose Preview from the adjacent menu. Accept that ALL such files will Open with Preview, and your major problems should be solved.
Occasionally, a particularly complex .pdf file or one that needs to be modified and re-written will not work quite right with Preview, but such issues are rare.

  • Issue: installed Adobe Reader XI, Norwegian version, existing pdf will not open or appear empty

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times, but I still have the same issue. Adobe automatically gives me the Norwegian version as I live in Norway. When I open existing pdf files they appear empty, and automatically close themselves after a few seconds.
Any idea how I can solve this problem?
    Your input is highly appreciated!
    Thank you.

  • I need to install Adobe Reader to take a course but I cannot get it to work

I am trying to take a 3 hour course online and I have to download adobe reader.  I have done this or so my computer says I have, but still cannot get the information I need to take the course to work.  I get a message saying "if the I need to install adobe reader".
How do I get this fixed? I need this course in order to renew my tradesman license.
    Thanks

Are you expected to download files from the course to look at on your computer or will all of the course be done completely online? If the course takes place entirely online, what may be needed is the Adobe Reader plugins getting installed properly in Safari. Since you're posting this in the Yosemite forum we can assume your using Yosemite, not Snow Leopard (10.6.8), so the plugins may not automatically be working. Assuming Reader has actually been installed, take a look at the instructions Adobe gives for activating the plugins.
BTW, do you have "Adobe Reader" in your Applications folder?

I didnt't say that our business is using Linux Desktops. I wrote, our main clientele is. And what our customers do like to use is something we cannot control...
    >What difference does it make to you if Adobe releases a new version of Reader that is not supported on Linux?
a new Adobe Reader version that's supported on Linux would be nice. a dialogue between Adobe and Linux developers would be nice...
    >As long as the old versions can open the files correctly, that's all that matters, no?
No, not if our staff is trained to use the newest Adobe Acrobat (trainings are usually for the newest versions) and uses that to produce forms. Now the files open correctly. But what will be in some months or years? Do people working on Linux do have to print the forms then again to fill in?
So do you recommend that we stop the process of producing electronic forms and stay with paper-fill-in forms? Is that the goal of Adobe? (maybe not so clever for your "financial viability"?!?!? ... ein schuss ins eigene bein?!?!)
    >Adobe is a public company and therefore it's not going to maintain a version of its software at great cost if it's not financially viable. It's as simple as that...
So it is to be interpreted that Adobe is interested in killing Linux cause if users cannot work with let's say forms, they will have to switch to something that can do that for them...
We definitely don't want to force Windows or Mac on our clientele. So as far as I get it, we will go back to paper forms and terminate our licence agreements with Adobe and deinstall it...

  • Adobe End User License Agreement

  • Trouble installing Adobe Reader XI

I tried to install Adobe Reader XI on my Mac (OS 10.8.4), but the installation stopped at 96% and has been stuck there for about six hours now.  I can't quit the installation, which means I can't shut down my computer.  How do I quite the intallation?  Also, I have Acrobat Reader 5.0 on my computer.  How do I uninstall that?

Cmd+Opt+Esc will open the "Force Quit" dialogue and you can Force the installer to quit from there. If worse comes to worst, press and hold the power button for five seconds. Your Mac will "power offf". Wait a few seconds more and you can reboot.
How on earth can you have Acrobat 5.0 (which is a Power PC app and CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES run on an Intel Mac) on your system? It has to look ike this:
    Indicating it's incompatible.
You can use AppZapper to uninstall ANY app on your Mac (it's a free trial)
    Then:
    Download the offline installer: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
Save it, but don't run it yet.
    Quit Safari
    Go to: Mac HD/Applications
Use AppZapper to "zap" the Reader 11 Application from there
    Go to: MacHD/library/Internet Plugins
    Trash the AdobePDFviewer.plugin from there
    Trash the AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin also
    Empty the trash
Mount the DMG and run the installer to reinstall Reader
When it finishes, reboot and open Reader from the Applications folder
    Accept the License Agreement

  • Newly installed adobe reader shuts down immediately after opening

I just installed Adobe Reader (on a Windows 7 computer) but when trying to open it it starts up and shuts down immediately. I have another PDF generator which came with the computer (Stat Nova PDF) which could be interferring with Adobe reader.
With Adobe reader installed neither PDF software works.
Is there a setting to make Adobe the default PDF reader?
I cannot risk uninstalling the original PDF software (Stat Nova PDF), as this is for an urgent job and cannot risk having no functional PDF reader at all.
    Thanks for your help

    Thanks heaps for that Pat,
    It seems to have worked.
Just out of curiosity. Why does one have to re-accept the licence agreement when we already accept it during the installation process?
Thank you again for your help

  • I installed Adobe Reader to my Mac OSX 10.8... website I need it for says no.

I installed Adobe Reader to my Mac osx 10.8. It installed, I clicked "FINISHED".  When I go back to the education website that I needed it for it tells me I need to agree to the Adobe licsencing agreement and reopen the browser. How do I agree to the licsensing agreement?? It never came up for me to do that. I tried to re-install but it just tells me I already have it installed.
    Thanks

You need to open Adobe Reader by itself (not in the browser), then accept the EULA.

  • ITunes won't install after I click license agreement page

iTunes won't install after I click license agreement page

I had the same problem as many are having, I am running Win XP Pro and after installing the latest greatest version fresh no go, tried all the fixes mentiond around the net and no go all you get is the dam agree screen ... so I had enogh, I completly uninstalled the new version and then installed version 10 and it works fine so I think they droped the ball in the programing of the latest release thats my 2 cents. I am so glad i always keep older versions on hand because many times new versions are buggy or just do not work NOTE TO APPLE DO NOT FIX IT IF IT AINT BROKE comes to mind ... the older just work and the new junk fails don't they test the programs anymore? accross the dif supported platforms? whlth all these peole having the same problems I would say they botched the program code or installer.
It says after the install there is a newer version great after waisting all this time I will not be updating till they claime and prove they have a big prob and fix it and then test it compleatly.
Important my problem started on first installing Itunes ona newely set up XP comp so I had no settings or anything and did not care a full uninstall worked for me. Not sure with those that have tons of stuff allready in the iTunes system,
Complete working version 10.0.0.68 works fine in win XP Pro ...
