Installed apps are now "waiting"

This morning, I turned on my iPad to discover that 90% (not all) of my downloaded apps are no longer useable and are noted as "waiting" and are slowly downloading. I have tried syncing to my computer to no avail. Any thoughts?

- By reboot do you mean:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next, I would try reseting network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Last, download the updates on your computer and sync.

If the apps are downloaded from the App Store, connect to WIFI network and click on the app, make sure your iPhone is charging and keep moving the screen so it wont go on stand by.
When it says loading and you see the bar loading you can just leave your iPhone alone and wait until it's downloaded.

Since I updated yesterday afternoon all of my purchased apps are not showing on the wall and two of my apps are still waiting to be updated. I have shut my phone down and restarted it plus logged into FB through my settings.

Apparently, my setup of using a symlink (created in Terminal via "ln -s") for my "Movies" folder in my home directory to a different directory on the same HD had something to do with the problem. I removed the symlink and moved the folder back into my home folder. Then FCPX prompted to upgrade my projects. I'm backing them up now before trying to do that. ;^)
So the bug is apparently that FCPX cannot work correctly with Mac OS's filesystem features… :-(

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you have an app that seems to be stuck on “Waiting," and the following is a past discussion that dealt with a similar issue and may help you as well:

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

I realize that installing apps is not the problem. Installing another app from the app store is a recommended troubleshooting tip from Apple if all of the third party apps will not open. It resets your iTunes authorization when you install the app because you have to enter your password.
If you didn't install another app try it. Read this support article as well.

Try this as well. Quit all apps, reset the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then see if the apps will launch.

Free memory. You are probably getting crashes becasue you have too much stuff floating sround in memory. Double tap the home button to see the task bar. Touch and hold any of those icons until they jiggle, then delete them all by touching the minus sign.
Do this every day, or more oftern if needed to keep the system freed up. If you are using safari a lot, make sure to fully close some of the windows by touch the x on the tabs. Each window uses some active memory.
From time to time, do a full reboot by holding the sleep and home button until the apple logo appears. Ignore the red slider. This also frees up some system resources.
The iOS system is supposed to do this for you, but since the intro of ios 5 there are a fair number of folks crashing.

You'll can try to sign in with the ID they were purchased under in Settings > iTunes and App store and downlaod them. If not, you'll have to purchase them under the new ID.

Pre install apps are deleted after recovering mac osx lion

I am new to apple product, i just got my new MacBook Pro late 2011 about 2 months ago, and recently my laptop getting slow so i decided to use mac osx lion recovery, and yesterday i do it, i reninstalled as their was brief description about how to reinstall the refresh copy of macosx lion
now all the pre installed apps like iphoto, imovie, GrageBand, etc. are not in lauch pad, perhaps deleted, please some help me i want them back, how can get it back

I did a factory restore w/ HP tech. giveing me the advice to do so. I have a HP Pavillion 17 notebook. came installed w/ Windows 8 after a few months I upgraded to 8.1 Now after restore Im running 8 My problem is after this re-start I did not get all my factory installed apps. EXAMPLE Getting started Windows 8 and others. Desktop Icons also did not populate except trash quick start icon thats it Please help THE HP TECS I HAVE SPOKE WITH apx. 8 HOURS in 3 days time are very hard to UNDERSTAND AS IM SPEAKING TO THESE GUYS IN INDIA india. tHEY ALL HAVE GAVE ME DIFFERENT ADVICE AND HAVE CAUSED ME TO HAVE MORE PROBLEMS WITH MY SYSTEM THAN I DID IN THE BEGINNING.

In most cases, i can just click ok to this prompt and carry on, but it is still a real nuisance. However with the app dropbox and find my phone, I can not get out of the prompt. I have to reboot my phone to be able to use it again. Any suggestions?

All my apps are waiting after the 7.1.1 update. I have signed out of everything and held the home button and sleep button. That did not work, any other ideas?

Are you on WiFi or cellular? I believe there is an option to only download apps when connected to WiFi. This might be enabled on your device.

Apps are in "waiting" state and battery always reads 100%

After ios5 upgrade, many apps are constantly in "waiting" state and cannot be accessed.
Also, battery indicator us stuck at 100%.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
