Installed but icon doesn't work

When I click on the smart web printing icon it tells me I have to update.  A message comes back that version 6.4 is already installed.  But the Icon doesn't work and takes me back to installing again.

  • Libtool is installed, but it doesn't work

I have both libtool and lib32-libltdl installed on my Arch x86_64 machine, but nothing that requires them compiles from AUR. That includes things like libpng12 and msgpack-git-neovim, which were building perfectly a couple of weeks ago (and I didn't change anything major since then). The same packages compile on my Arch ARM Raspberry Pi just fine, so it's not a problem with the packages themselves.
This is the output of yaourt during the build:

Output lines from libtoolize are the same on the RPi, but it doesn't throw any errors after them.
Of course I tried force-reinstalling both libtools, but it didn't help.
What should I do to fix this?

  • Adobe Flash Player installed, but content doesn't work

Adobe Flash Player works after I install it, but then
evenually it stops working. I have tried lots of support methods,
including downloading Microsoft's tool to fix permission errors. I
    am using
Windows Vista Home Premium and the latest version of
    Adobe Flash Player.
I noticed somewhere that there was an old thread like this
with someone having the same problem. I saw that someone who
replied showed a screenshot of what the permissions for
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT should look like. Interestingly, they
    don't appear to match.
    Here is the screenshot:
    http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/9738/testrj8.jpg
Please help me fix this problem. Without
Adobe Flash Player, I can't do numerous things, such as
    watch videos on
    YouTube.

I have solved the problem, thanks to this post:

  • I downloaded the new mozilla and it installed, but it doesn't work.

It just shows the home page but wont go to any websites. it doesn't even seem to load. explorer works and chrome works. what do I do?

It could be that your security software is blocking Firefox. See [[Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can]] and [[Cannot connect after upgrading Firefox]].

  • Could somebody teach me how to set the lastest iTunes so that it repeats just one of the numbers installed from the CD? I've alreadly tried it by clicking "control" and the bottom, but it doesn't work. Thank you.

Could somebody teach me how to set the latest iTunes so that it repeats just one of the numbers installed from the CD?
I've already given it a try by clicking "control" and the bottom item which means one item in Japanese, but it doesn't work.
    Thank you.

You can access the repeat options if you right-click on the shuffle icon or if menus are enabled you can use
    Controls > Repeat > Off | All | One.
Once the control is visible you can click it to switch between states as before. If the control is turned to off it disappears on the next track change. In contrast the shuffle control remains visible whenever it is appropriate. Hopefully the next release will fix this.
The bottom one should do it.

  • Can anyone help? I have downloaded and installed the QuickTime MPEG-2 Component but it doesn't work.

I purchased the QuickTime MPEG-2 component for Quicktime as I am using Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and I want to be able to via MPEG-2 transport streams.
I paid £14.00 - everything downloaded and installed fine but it doesn't work and I am still unable to view the transport streams in Quicktime even though according to the website this is want the component will let me do.
I have rebooted several times, reinstalled both Quicktime and the MPEG-2 component and still nothing.  I have then spent ages going around and around in circles on the website trying to find a way of emailing customer services or technical support to get some assistance but I just always end back in the same place no further forward.
Please can anyone else offer any suggestions - either how I can get it working or how I can get my £14 back from Apple!!

    1) Suggest you reread the "Feature" details for the QT MPEG-2 Playback Component paying particular attention to the paragraph titled "Can transport streams be played?" which clearly states that this codec does NOT support the playback of transport stream (TS) files.
    2) This codec can only be used with "classic" QT apps such as the QT 7 player, GarageBand, or third-party apps like the free MPEG Streamclip app.
    3) The VLC player intrinsically supports TS files. MPEG Streamclip with the QT MPEG-2 Playback Component installed supports TS file playback.
    4) MPEG Streamclip with the QT MPEG-2 Playback Component installed can also resave muxed TS file content as muxed program stream (PS) content which is then "playback" compatible with both QT 7 and QT X players (assuming you select an audio compression format compatible with both) or convert the muxed TS content to QT "edit" compatible compression formats if desired.
Please can anyone else offer any suggestions - either how I can get it working or how I can get my £14 back from Apple!!
Apple seldom makes refunds to people who successfully purchase software which they do not really understand how to use—cavaet emptor. It is difficult to make suggestions here without knowing more about your personal preferences and/or work flow requirements. I personally would keep the codec to enhance various playback, conversion, and editing options on my Mac.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I have installed TomTom navigation on my ipad2 but it doesn't work? Actually the application starts to find the Satelite but it never finds it,!?

Are you outside with a clear view of the sky? The first time a GPS device tries to acquire the GPS satellites it could take several minutes. Subsequent acquisitions will be faster.
And as already asked, does your iPad have GPS?

    Hi Aynur,
Are you getting the following error message when launching SQL Server Management Studio 2014?
“Invalid license data. Reinstall is required”
If that is the case, please perform the following steps to resolve the issue. For more details, please review this similar
    thread.
    1. Uninstall Visual Studio 2010 (Isolated) using Add/Remove Programs.
    2. Click on SQL Server 2014 in Add/Remove Programs, then click Uninstall/Change and choose Repair.
On the screen where you select the instance to Repair, change the drop down to "Repair shared features only" and complete the wizard.
However, if you (“I installed SQL Server 2014 but it doesn't work”) refer to other SQL Server issues, please help to post more details here for analysis. We need to know that how you connect to SQL Server, and the full error message you have received. Also
    please show us

    Hi canondude!
    Thanks for posting.
Ho are you bringing the video clips over to your computer?  Are you connecting the camera or are you using a card reader?  What program are you using to import the video clips?

  • HT2404 I'm trying to update apps and download new ones on mi ipad, but it doesn't work... the icons say "waiting" and nothing happens for days!

I'm trying to update apps and download new ones on mi ipad, but it doesn't work... the icons say "waiting" and nothing happens for days!Help!

Here are a bunch of things that you can try to get the downloads to resume.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

  • I'm trying to instal ios 5.1 but it doesn't work

I'm trying to instal ios 5.1 but it doesn't work can yoiu help me

I got 5.1 installed late last night (East Coast time).  I also downloaded the new iPhoto app.  It was a little slow for both downloads (3-4 minutes), but both completed just fine.
James is right, the servers are likely experiencing high traffic volume.  Give it some time for the traffic to decrease and the download should proceed smoothly.

  • I followed the instructions for restoring bookmarks from an older Firfox to a new one but it doesn't work.

I'm trying to get my old bookmarks installed with Firefox on a drive holding Win xp to Firfox installed on a different drive holding Win 7. I followed the backup and restore process in the Firefox help file but it doesn't work. Help will be appreciated because I have a slew of bookmarks that I would like to use with Win 7.

If you need to merge bookmarks then you need to export the bookmarks to an HTML file and import that file on the other computer.
Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Export HTML
Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML : "From File"

  • Help! I have had my iMac G5 fitted with new Logic Board but it doesn't work

Help! I have had my iMac G5 fitted with new Logic Board but it doesn't work
I have just had my iMac G5 First Gen 1.8Ghz fitted with a new Logic Board under the Apple Repair Extension Programme for iMacs.
I got the iMac home from the repairers and switched it on and everything was working fine for about 2 hours and then all of a sudden the Error Page came up on the Screen (with a big On/Off Switch Logo) and it said I had to shut down.
So I shut it down waited a few minutes and then tried to re-boot it but nothing happened. All that happended was the Power Light in the Right hand corner came on..but nothing else....
Help! Any ideas what to do please?

If you have an external firewire drive (it has to be firewire, USB won't boot on a Rev A), plug it in to the firewire port and turn it on, then boot your iMac and see if it shows on the screen.
Have you tried to hit the eject (up arrow, the last button on the top row of the keyboard) button when you boot, perhaps the repairers left a disc in the drive? Then try and put your install disc in.
