Installed CC 2014, now I can't uninstall the earlier versions. Duplicates of every app but InDesign. Help?

So I installed the CC 2014 apps, and didn't want the older versions. When I went to uninstall I got errors for everything but InDesign, so now I have duplicates I don't want and can't get rid of. Tried the cleaner tool, no dice.
Anyone else having this issue? Have any tips?
I spent an hour and a half fixing an InDesign update issue a couple nights ago with Adobe phone support, so I'm loathe to call again. But will if there isn't an available solution online.

Sgravesdesign if you have used the CC Cleaner Tool then please try the Microsoft Fixit Utility at Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled to remove the additional entries.
Once done please try reinstalling.  If you face additional installation issues can you please check your installation logs for error messages.  You can find details on how to check your installation logs for errors at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors to this discussion.

Understand the uninstall process BUT ...
Looking at the size of the previous versions vs. the CC 2014 versions, it seems that these newer (2014) versions are smaller in size ... with the exception of SpeedGrade.
What I have installed so far:
    AE CC = 2.66gb
    AE CC 2014 = 2.03gb
    AU CC = 900mb
    AU CC 2014 = 678mb
    AI CC = 1.81gb
    AI CC 2014 = 907mb
    PS CC = 3.79gb
    PS CC 2014 = 1.99gb
    PR CC = 3.87gb
    PR CC 2014 = 1.54gb
    SG CC = 206mb
    SG CC 2014 = 709mb
I hope this is right and the downloads didn't leave out anything!! If the programs are lighter, that's a good thing.
    So, is this right?!
And is it alright to Uninstall the previous versions? (I don't have any plugins, add-on's, etc...)

  • I have two versions of Lightroom installed on my computer, can I uninstall the older version?

While looking at the "Programs and Features" folder on my Windows 7 computer I discovered that I have two versions of Adobe Lightroom installed on my system. One is Lightroom 5.2, installed on 9/19/2013, and the other is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 64-bit, installed on 7/5/2014
      - Can I uninstall the older version?
      - Will uninstalling the older version cause any problems with the newer version?
      - If yes to either question, is there anything I need to do before doing the uninstall (i.e. deactivating, etc.)
Any advice on how to correct this problem is gratefully appreciated.
PS; I have the same issue with Muse CC. See: I have two versions of Muse CC installed on my computer, can I uninstall the older version?

    Jim,
I thought it was odd that I had two versions of Lightroom installed as well. I have been able to track the issue back to an apparent "bug" in the Lightroom 5.2 update that installed a second version of Lightroom in addition to updating the existing version on my computers. At the time, I posted about it at Lightroom 5 installed twice on my laptop. While I never got an answer to my question, which was "Is this normal?" I did hear from others in the forum the experienced the same problem and had the same question. As time passed, later releases updated one of the two installations, but did not effect the second. Hence, two different versions of Lightroom 5 installed on the same computer.
Uninstalling the older version solved the problem. Thanks

CC 2014 uses NEW plugins https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1499663
-so do not uninstall the older CC programs if you use plugins in your programs

Finish the download on your computer in iTunes and then sync the app to the iPad and then delete it. You will probably have to let it fully download before you can delete it.
You can try restarting the iPad and see if the download will resume - Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Yoy can try  this as well and see if the download will resume. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Look in iTunes and see if there is a pending download in there that might be causing the delay. If there is a download there, try to finish that one first.

  • I have upgraded to newer version of labview, and the older versions of LavVIEW are now piling up. Can I uninstall the older versions? if yes how?

Do I have to keep all the old versions of LabVIEW as I did not uninstall the older versions, but only downloaded the latest version of labview from the website and installed it. A new version and icon is installed on my PC now. What can I do?

You asked "Do I have to keep all the old versions...". Of course not. You can do whatever you want. Each version of LabVIEW installs in its own directory, which is what allows you to keep multiple versions installed in case you need to support programs written in earlier version that cannot be upgraded yet for whatever reason. Conflicts may arise if you install older versions later than new ones and you install the libraries for the hardware interfaces like VISA and such. Older versions of these libraries sometimes cause problems with newer versions of LabVIEW.
If you do not want multiple versions, common practice is to completely uninstall the current version before installing the new one. If you have more than two versions but only want the latest, simply uninstall the older ones from the main NI installer. Depending on how old the versions are that you are uninstalling something with the new one may break so you may need to repair that installation. You may just want to simply uninstall all NI software and then just do a clean install of the latest version. That will likely be your best course of action.

  • Need hard drive space.  How can I uninstall an earlier version of MS Office for Mac without affecting the latest version?

My excellent, but old Mac Book Pro only has a 160 GB hard drive.  I've only got 6 GB remaining.  I know I have multiple copies of MS Office for Mac installed and only need the latest.  is there an uninstaller I can use to get rid of the early versions?  Any potential issues if I do that?  I use a 1TB drive for Time Machine back ups.
    Thank you.

OWC www.macsales.com can help you upgrade your hard drive to SSD or larger hdd, and I would clone your system to another external as well as with TimeMachine.

  • How can i uninstall the trial version of illustrator off my computer (mac)?

I'd like to be able to uninstall the trial version of illustrator off of my mac, so that i can redownload it and actually try it, as i didn't get a chance to trial it the first time!
    Help Please!!

    cara,
Unfortunately, you can only download a trial version once, no matter whether you used it much, little, or not at all. It only puts the application at your disposal with no tracing of your possible use.
Back in January or thereabouts, a fresh start was made so you could download a second trial, but no trial since then is repeatable.

  • How can I uninstall the newest version of pages?

Is there a way to uninstall the newest version of pages? I just upgraded to Maverick, and all potential applications. Can I revert to the previous version of Pages without losing any files?
    Thanks!

You can remove both versions by using the Uninstaller Script found on this page, then reinstall your purchased version.

  • Re-installed PS 2014, now I can't start it. Continually told to sign-in.

After re-installing PS CC 2014, a dialogue box comes up asking me to sign in when I try to start Photoshop. I do, then get a message saying, "enjoy your product, hit continue," but when I do I get another sign-in screen. Now Lightroom seems to be the only CC app without that problem.

  • Can I uninstall the latest version of itunes  and install a earlier version that I preferred

I am using win 7 and Itunes 11.1.12. Can I uninstall this version and install version 10 which I preferred Any suggestions appreciated Thanks

You and thousands of others if you search..
What I did; Found my back up of the 10.7 installer.  You may have to locate a site on the web to find yours...sorry.
I used W7 unistaller to completely remove 11.  I made a back up of the media, music only, folder,  this depends on how and where you configured iTunes to store your tunes.
I then simply installed 10.7 then pointed to backed up music folder to read and sort musik back into the itunes folder. I only did that to ensure there no problems when everything back up.  Everything good!
Now, many people are have problems with iphones and devices depending on what was synced while in 11, such as cannot sync with older data base and such.  Hopefully others can help you if your in that catagory.

  • How can I uninstall the trial version of Lightroom 4.2?

I cannot uninstall the program via Windows Vista's "Uninstall or Change a Program." When I try the Uninstall command, I get this message: "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation," then this message, "You do not have sufficient access to uninstall Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2. Please contact your system administrator." When I try the Change command, a wizard appears with the options to either Repair the program or to Remove it. When I select the Remove option, I end up with messages similar to the above and a fatal error message (#1730, I think).
I am the sole user of my machine and its administrator. Is there an alternate method for uninstalling the program (apart from deleting everything and cleaning up the Registry)?
    Thanks.

In case someone is interested, I found a solution.
    1. Recall that when you extract the installation files from Lightroom_4_LS11.exe, you get a PDF file, Install Lightoom 4.exe, and a folder—Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4—that contains setup32.exe and setup64.exe. (I used Install Lightoom 4.exe to install the program because that seemed the obvious way of doing it.)
    2. Double-click one of the setup.exe. (In my case, I double-clicked setup32.exe.) A Wizard appears. This is the same Wizard that you get when you use the Change option through Control Panel > Programs & Features (which did not work, as mentioned in my original post).
    3. Select the Remove option. This time, it works. At least, it worked for me.
