Installed flash player, instead of saying tap to play, I get plug-in needed. I thought flash player was the needed plug-in.

Hi mzlaz
# Please try restarting your phone and then re-open Firefox for Android and try again. Sometimes the flash player plugin doesn't start until you do this.
# If that doesn't help please let us know the URL of a video where we can reproduce this problem and what version of Android OS you are using (4.1 Jelly bean, 4,4 kitkat, 5 Lollipop, etc) - A guess would be that the website requires a more recent version of Flash player (Android only supports the ver y old legacy Flash version 11; the current version is Flash 16(

  • I can't install Flash Builder from the Web Premium suite, what should I do?

I just downloaded the Adobe Creative suite 5.5 Web Premium and am about to install the program but notice a note next to the Adobe Flash Builder program... it explains that my system doesn't have the requirements needed for this program. I checked and it explains further details stating that I need to have a • Mac OS X v10.5.6–10.6 and I doubled check which version I have and it's OS X 10.5.8. Doesn't this actually mean that it does meet the requirements?
Please advise as to what can be done to be able to download this specific program.
    Thanks,

We do still need more information such as how much memory you have,
resolution of your monitor, how much disk space you have free, which
processor are you using.  I good guide is to look at the system
requirements and try to post for each of the items within the
requirements.  The system requirements for Web Premium can be found

Also you can find this information within your System Profiler.  The
easiest way to access the system profiler is to go to the Apple Menu
and select About this Mac.  Once selected clicking on the more info
button will launch the System Profiler.

    Oliver,
Are you getting activation errors? As Ned stated , it is easier to troubleshoot if we have the specific type of error and error detail that you are getting.
Here is some help on activation if this is the issue:

  • I wish the ipad video player was the same as the iphone video player...

The ipad video player is not as good as the iphone video player.
I'm specifically referring to how it handles chapters and episode info.
    1 - episode info
With the iphone, when I'm looking at the list of videos, in addition to the show title, it displays the season and episode #.
With the ipad, it only shows show title.  And since episodes are for some reason sorted by show title, it's impossible to play the show back in episode # order, since it's not displayed...
    2- chapters
With the iphone, when a video with chapter marks is being played back, as part of the play controls, there is a chapter option so you can see what and where the chapter marks are and can easily go to them directly.
With the ipad, this chapter option is not there.  You can only get to a specific chapter by forwarding chapters one-by-one.
No idea why the two players can't have the same functionality.
Hopefully someone from apple can see this and consider it for a future update.
(is this the best way to get them info/suggestions for future updates???)

Actually, this is the best way to get feedback to Apple for this. Apple employees only moderate this forum for abuse and violations of the terms of use.

  • TS3274 ipad will not scroll, also to open an app i need to tap 3 xs to get open. actually anything I try to do on the ipad requires 3 taps.

I had closed the cover on my Ipad, when I went to open back up I had a black screen. did a hard reset now I can't get anything to scroll and to open an app or to type anything I have to tap the buttons three times for them to respond.

It sounds like you had Voice Over enabled in the Accessibilty Settings. Are you are able to start the iPad now? It sounds like that is an issue as well.
This explains how to turn Voice Over off and on.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4064
You don't need or necessarily want to let the battery run down at all. If you let the battery run down and then recharge, that will not reset the device.
If the iPad is not responding at all, look through this for help in order to get the iPad up and running again, and then you can deal with Voice Over.

  • Installing Flash Player in a Secure Remote Environment

I am configuring a remote development environment and one of the applications I am using requires Adobe Flash 10 or higher.  My dev environment is locked down and does not connect to the internet.  I would like to know how to install Flash manually in the remote dev environment without internet access.  Is this possible? Where do I locate the manual installation package.
    Any advice is much appreciated.

Adobe offers a couple versions of Flash Player for redistribution in enterprise environments, and they're tailored for centralized deployment and management via AD/SCUP/SCPD.
Your organization will need to execute a distribution agreement, but it's free.  I've included links to the distribution page and system administrator's guide below.
Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe
Adobe Flash Player Administration Guide for Flash Player 14 | Adobe Developer Connection
Alternatively, Flash Player is bundled as a component in Google Chrome.  If you can get Chrome installed on your laptop (which can typically install without administrative rights), you should have a working Flash installation.  Depending on the compliance obligations in your particular environment; however, it might be better to have a conversation with your IT support folks about the requirement.

  • IE8 keeps prompting me to install flash player

Flash 11.7 is installed. It is enabled in IE. Windows 7 SP1  64bit.
When watching youtube videos, youtube prompts me install flash. Refreshing the page allows the video to be played.
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled.
This problem doesn't occur in other browsers like Chrome and Firefox.

Hi, The first thing I would do is check in the addons of the browser for Shockwave Flash Object. Make sure it is Enabled.
I use the Adobe Flash Player prompt and always check the addons, so have never had another prompt appear.
See if that is the issue.

  • Installing flash player onto iphone

Does anyone know if you can install flash players onto the iphone, if so how?

    In a word, no.
There is no Flash plugin that is iPhone compatible.
If/when Adobe produces a Flash-plugin that is iPhone compatible that meets Apple's approval, more than likely it will be included with a firmware update, or possible be made available via the iTunes App Store as a standalone install.

As Kaewngam indicates, Flash Player is no longer supported on OS X 10.5.8.  You can download 10.3 from the Archived Flash Player versions page, which was the last supported version for 10.5.8, however, most sites require a newer version of Flash Player to view content.  You may be able to upgrade to OS X 10.6 if your system qualifies. See here for system requirements, System requirements for OS X Lion and Mac OS X v10.6 The 10.6 CD should be available on the Apple store ($19.99) . You can Google 'upgrading OS X 10.5.8 to 10.6' and it'll return loads of information.

  • Installing Flash on Win2K & IE5

We are developing a Flex web portal and have a client
refusing to upgrade their machines or their browsers. They are
running Win2K with IE5 (they also don't want to install flash, but
we told them they "have to" do that if they want our product).
The sys reqs for Flash 9 indicate that it supports IE5 on
Win2K. So I installed a vanilla Win2K and have set about trying to
install Flash 9. The getflashplayer download page wouldn't work at
all (IE gave me an error) so I had to search the support pages to
    find the installer package.
I've installed the Flash9 archive package (with installers
for everything) as well as the small "ActiveX" installer package.
Each of these packages runs quickly and indicates success.
Flash Player shows up in Windows Add/Remove Programs.
However, browsing to any flash enabled page fails to work and
the adobe page fails to recognize any version of flash installed.
I've modified the various security settings for IE to enable
ActiveX. I've uninstalled and rebooted between each attempt.
    I'm running Win2K version 5.00.2195 and IE5.00.2920.
Can somebody give me additional thoughts/suggestions? I want
to keep this box as vanilla as possible to replicate the client
situation, but I also need to know the bare minimum required to
actually install a functioning version of flash.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello belarm,
The online installer you mention is not for distributing in the manner you are attempting.  It is simply a shim installer that downloads and installs Flash Player silently in the background.
Based on the information provided,  you'll need to obtain a distribution license (free) to distribute Flash Player within your organization.  The Flash Player Administrator's Guide provides the information you need to license the Flash Player (chapter 1) and various options of distributing Flash Player (Chapter 3), as well as a myriad of other details on administering Flash Player within your organization.  The Guide is available at Adobe Flash Player Administration Guide for Flash Player 14 | Adobe Developer Connection.
