Installed fonts not showing in Pages

I have fonts installed on my computer that are not showing up in Pages. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it.
I use Fontcase to manage my fonts.

Installed fonts not showing up in Font Book or other apps

I am having an issue where fonts will install, but not show up in Font Book.
I go into Font Book, go to File > Add Fonts..., navigate to a font file and click Open, the validating and installing windows will flash by, but the font will not appear in the list of All Fonts. The file will show up in ~/Library/Fonts/, but not in Font Book or any other apps.
Any clues as to what the issue is and how to fix it?

I had thought of that, but they literally are nowhere to be found in the All Fonts list. I've looked through the entire list, as well as searching for the font, but nothing.
The Windows font was a font was a completely separate family not found on my Mac at all.
I tried installing different set of fonts (ran them through the Validator and then clicking install when they all checked out), and got the following in the console:

And again, same behavior. Goes into ~/Library/Fonts, but nothing else.

Fonts Not Showing in Pages: Why?

I have an extensive font library installed on my machine (running latest version of OS X Mavericks).
All of my fonts appear in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, et al. But the vast majority of fonts will not appear in my font list in Pages.
Why is this happening and how can it be fixed?

I went to the Apple Store and obtained the answer.
Apparently Apple changed the way OS X and their apps handle non-unicode fonts. If the font is not mapped to the Latin keyboard layout, then the font will not appear in the font menu of any program made by Apple. So, for example, Zapf Dingbats, Symbol, et al. will not show up in your menu and you cannot type those characters into a Pages document
-- UNLESS --
you open Character Viewer and manually select the font there and then type the character using Character Viewer.
It's insane.
I really think that the easiest solution to this is for Apple to simply have the Font manager map non-unicode fonts automatically the way that Adobe Type Manager used to back in the day.
The workaround to use a font like Zapf Dingbats feels a lot more like using a Windows machine than a Mac. Very un-Apple-esque.

Installed fonts not showing up in PSE 11

I have installed fonts that are not showing up in PSE 11. Any suggestions? It's driving me crazy!!

Windows 7 Home Premium.
The font is Wanderlust Letters Extra Regular
It's weird because I also installed Wanderlust Letters Regular, which shows up just fine.
Is it possible I have too many fonts installed for PSE 11 to detect? I have 1000+

New installed font not showing up

Recently downloaded a new font. Dragged and dropped into my font book as well as directly into the font folders (user and hard drive) but it refuses to show up in Keynote and Pages though it is seen in the Photoshop font list. How do I fix this? Thanks.

I've recently installed .otf version of New Century Schoolbook into FontBook. It's working fine in all my other Adobe programs (CS6 CC) but for some reason, it just doesn't seem to want to work inside of Illustrator.
Can anyone give me a hand getting this font up and running?

Have a feeling the alphabetical order may strange like mine on that font. Did they tag the menu name to have Adobe bur invisible, not sure. Also Check for the calssic menu name not matching font name of "ITC New Century Schoollbook".

I’ve got true type fonts exported from Mac to PC via
Fontographer … Photoshop (CS1), Illustrator (CS1), and Quark
(as old as v5) all see the full family but Flash MX04 does not.
I’ve tried a few other font conversion utilities without any
luck. I don’t know if it makes a difference or not but in all
cases the fonts have been from large families (like HelveNeu) that
use numbers to identify specific variants, like HelvNeu 87 Heavy
Condensed. Anyone know a quick fix (rebuying the entire Adobe &
Linotype libraries is not an option)?

Fonts not showing up in InDesign CC 64bit

I find it extremely difficult to believe that Adobe have not found a solution to the issue of installed fonts not showing up in InDesign. If anybody has found a solution that does not include the "rewriting" of font types. Please assist. We specialize in Brand Management, and it becomes extremely challenging when Adobe InDesign does not show up the installed font in order to ensure Brand Management :/

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
I'm not sure if this is the cause for anyone else, but I had the same symptoms--almost no fonts showing up in InDesigns Font dropdown options.
THE SOLUTION: The new version of ID has two "font filter toggle button". They are the "Apply Favorite Filter", and "Apply Typekit Filter". It seem that in my install, the Typekit filter was on by default, which makes it so that the Font list only displays those fonts that originate from Typekit, as opposed to the thousand you have on your hard drive.
Click the toggle to turn off the filter and --zowee! All your fonts come right back.
I hope this helps some of you. It would also explain why people on both Macs and Windows boxes are having this issue.

Firstly, make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
Secondly, try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
Thirdly, if you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.

You can move apps around in iOS 7 the same as iOS 6. Press an app icon until you see it wiggle; then drag it to where ever you want it to be. Drag it onto another app to create a folder with the two apps. Tap the Home button to stop the wiggle.

Will not show web page on windows high contrast

Hi,
Am running Windows 7 64bit
my problem is as follows.
I normally run Windows in high contrast mode and would prefer all web sites to be on the dark side.
Occasionally I need to be able to see a web page as its designers intended it to be.
So I want to have the text white and background black and then the ability to toggle between that and the web page's own colour scheme.
Thought I'd found exactly what I needed in the add-on "Toggle Document Colors 1.0"
Am presuming it toggles the status of the "Allow pages to choose their own colours..." tick box.
This setting seems to get lost when FF closes. Even if I set the tick box myself and then close FF it is gone when I reopen FF.
If the box is ticked and a page refreshed it still does not show web page colours ?
Without any addons at all after a reset and only using the colours dialog I cannot get it to behave.
If you start in Windows white mode (normal) things are better even after FF close. Change to Windows black mode (high contrast) things start off ok then after you close FF it will not work
If there is a solution I would love to know it.
Will settle for a workaround.
Considered using old version of FF, but this is not really a good idea.
Really don't want to go back to IE

iTunes does not yet support Windows 8, so there may not be a fix until such time as Apple releases a version of iTunes that does support 8. You can search this forum for "windows 8", though, and perhaps you'll find a suggestion in one of the other threads on the issue.

Fonts not showing up in Flash CS5

Maybe I'm missing something simple but I just can't get some fonts to appear in Flash cs5 on mac osx. they work fine in Photoshop / Illustrator, but don't appear in Flash.
Any ideas?

Not showing web pages

Firefox is not showing any page; all the content is in absolute white; the source code is the same. The Antivirus and the spyware is not detecting any issue in the machine. The others browsers are working normally. I tried to unnistall the software, reinstall, update and nothings solve the problem.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
