Installed IOS7 on iPad 3: now "iPad is disabled"???
Any ideas what's going on here and how to fix?
1) Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Once you have Recovered your Device...
Re-Sync your Content or Restore from the most Recent Backup...

I had this same problem. Tried everything the internet said including a full restore. Which was terrible. Nothing worked until.....go to general...reset....reset all settings.
You had to go back in and reset anything you customized afterwards, however it does not allow the store to load. Thanks! -

Try to reset the device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the
Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot
normally. -
After installing iOS7 update ipad sought passcode disabled restore dead! Now what?
After installing iOS7 update my ipad magically wanted a passcode to open. I tried several of my usual passwords but none worked and it disabled for increasing lengths of time. Eventually after reading up a bit about it I strated to restore it to factory settings but was interupted your this process and was unable to complete it fully (to be honest I'm not keen to do this anyway as I don't want to lose all my data - photos, and fail to see why I should simply becasue of a bug in iOS7). Now my ipad is totally dead and will not respond to anything. What can I do now?
It is still not working. I have had Apple support on the phone twice as each time I get through the restore process it comes up with an unexplained error (3194) which they keep telling me is because I have a firewall preventing it from happening. This is wrong because I have removed the firewall and it still comes up with the error message and will not restore. I now have to take it to the guys I have had look at my computers from time to time to sort it out (presumabley at my cost). If and or when it gets to the point to restore, yes I can restore from iCloud an should get all my data ok but I shouldn't really have to go through all this drama as the iPad is only very new and still under all of it's warranties etc Completely unimpressed with this whole thing.

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. -

Hi Knackerman, I was racking my brain trying to think how I did this and then I remembered that at the time because of other problems I was having with my iPad and it was under extended warranty, they offered to replace it for me.
When I went to collect new one they asked if I wanted the to download iOS7 and they replied, NO, I did not, well that was enough for me and I told them to please leave it as is.
I just ignore all the reminders I receive to download iOS7 on my phone and iPad.
I am very happy with my 6 version.
I am very sorry I am unable to help, I know how you feel, I hated it, it caused so many glitches to my otherwise perfect iPad before instalment.
Overall though, I think Apple has to shake itself up, they are getting left behind in the Samsung wake. -

Are your sure that the iPad is not asking you to CREATE a passcode. It will do this as part of the iOS 7 upgrade. If the device is truly asking for a passcode and it is now locked take a look at this Apple support page

For days I have been unable to use my IPAD except to view what is already there. I downloaded IOS7 and all was ok for about a week but suddenly one morning I woke up to find that my gadget doesn't want to connect WiFi via my home provider. This happens to be Sky Yahoo. So, short of changing providers, I don't know what to do. Only purchased my IPAD 2 in June this year but am already wishing that I had chosen the Samsung Galaxy Note. (it was a close call).The tech guys in the shop have tried to help but as soon as I am out of range of the shop I am back to square one. Called in at my local library today and had no problem connecting to their WiFi.
Can i "uninstall" IOS7 or is there a way round this problem before I go crazy? This is being sent from my laptop, obviously. Any and all help gratefully accepted.....especially if it works.You can't downgrade the iOS.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. You may have many open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign.

Installed ios7 on iphone 4, now my phone wont turn on or recover?
I downloaded ios 7 over night and it worked fine, but yesterday just turned off and wont turn on again. I connect it to a wall charger and the apple logo appears then goes off and this keeps repeating. I connected it to itunes doing the thing where you hold down sleep button and home button then just home, it starts to restore but the restore is never successful.. i have done this about 20 times or more now and nothing! Different error codes keep appearing and I have tried youtube videos but still unsuccessful! Please help! My phone is relatively new and I really can't afford a new one.
Thanks!Actually, I've found that after installing IOS5, the SMTP configuration for Comcast email is incorrect. Comcast uses SSL and after upgrading to IOS5, the phone seems to have lost that part of the setting.
In my configuration, I have an SMTP server set up as follows and it now works:
Host name: smtp.comcast.net
UserName: fill this in with your user id
Password: filled in with your password
Use SSL: ON
Authenticaion: Password
Server Port: 587 -

I just installed ios7 on my iPad 2 which is 16GB and I cannot connect to wifi
problems connecting to wifi after installing ios7 on iPad 2 with 3G. Has anybody come across this?
I fixed my problem on my own. I unplugged both my modem and router. Let them cool down for a minute and plugged both in again. Now my iphone 4S picks up wifi and connects. Although all my other apple devices pick up a 5G signal, this only picks up a regular signal, but still connected via wifi. So still some bug in the software, but at least I no longer have to return the iphone.
