Installed Itunes 9 now I can't sign in.

I installed Itunes 9 and tried to sign in. I was told to update my account from an Aol login to an Apple ID. When I press the continue button, the whole program freezes. I can not get past this point. Tried 3 times with the uninstall/ install route and reboots nothing helps. I have to use the task manager to get Itunes to shutdown. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a similar problem. I recently had Apple support help me to change my Apple ID after confirming my identity which was successful. My iPhone 4S keeps asking for a password for my iCloud ID (same old email address that was my previous Apple ID - email address no longer in service and password not accepted). I'm not sure why my iCloud ID wasn't updated at the same time as my Apple ID since they are identical. The new password doesn't work with the old iCloud ID. How do I get help to update my iCloud ID and password? I can't delete the account and sign in with a new ID because I can't turn off Find My Phone.

If you are trying to change the iCloud ID ("email address") on your device, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything back on the computer.

The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Have you failed to do this?

The other responder gave you a program that will transfer stuff from your iPod to your new computer. You can transfer iTunes purchaces to your new computer by:

After you move your stuff to your new computer you will have to let iTunes erase your iPod and then sync with the stuff that is now in your iTunes library. You will loose app data though.

beggsc54, There were some printing bugs in iTunes 11.0 which reportedly have been fixed in 11.0.1. If you haven't upgraded yet, install the latest iTunes and try again.

Installed iTunes 10 - now iPod is no longer recognized

I have tried for the last 4+ hours to get my iPod to work with iTunes 10 but to no avail. I am SO SORRY I downloaded this buggy program! I never had a problem before installing iTunes 10 now I'm stuck. I've tried uninstalling it and installing older versions but I keep getting an error message each time saying I can't open iTunes because it was installed with a newer version. I don't understand it. I uninstalled iTunes 10 but it is like it is still on my computer - keeping any older versions of iTunes to run. I also get an error message each time I reboot telling me that a synch file is missing from iTunes. Uninstalling and re-installing the newest version doesn't work either. Neither does running a 'repair' program. I guess until Apple offers a patch or they fix iTunes 10 I won't be using iTunes. Please be warned - iTunes 10 is full of problems. I would stay away from it until Apple decides to fix it.

The program iTunes is not started at this moment.
When I connect my iPod Nano 5e Gen to the USB-port of my computer with Windows XP. The ipod is recognised by Windows XP as an drive within the explorer/my conputer.
Then after a while iTunes starts and gives the message that the iPod can't be identified. And the iPod has disappeared from the explorer as an drive !! Further I can't get with my iPod in iTunes. What goes wrong?

so first off thanks for forceing me to install this virus on my computer that completly caused tons of problems for me.
So the problem i have is that i installed Itunes and now i cant see my cd stations i tryed to update the drivers and it doesent work. so what can i do to solve this problem except to format my whole dam computer.

Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Even my 12 year old Mac lets me download the newest iTunes. Of course I can't install it but any computer can download the installer files so we need to know precisely what you are trying and what error messages you are seeing.
