Installed iTunes and do not get a Summary screen
I have just purchased an iPod nano and installed iTunes for downloading. I am successful with music and audiobooks but do not get a Summary screen to allow me to access the tabs described in the online manuals that would allow me to download photos. What am I doing wrong???
Yes the nano is connected to the computer and sync's music with no problem through itunes. And I am selecting the nano in the source pane. The online documentation indicates that you should be able to select the nano source and a summary screen appears which has music and photo tabs as well as others. I am unable to get that screen.

Which particular .msi file (or files) does the message (or messages) go on to say cannot be found? (Several different .msi files might be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)

Installed Itunes and will not open
I have installed and uninstall itunes on my Laptop mulitiple times and it will not open up. I have tried to run it as administrator, repairing it, unistalling it and reinstalling and it will not open. Is there an error or problem with the windows version for this to keep happening?

Restart your PC. after the PC restarts, bring up your Task manager, and go to the "Processes" tab. Click "Image name" to sort the processes alphabetically.
Now try to launch iTunes.
Does an itunes.exe process appear? If so, does it vanish after a second or so, or does it persist in the Processes tab (even though iTunes itself never shows up)? -

when i try to instal itunes on pc i get this message. This installation pack could not be opened. Verify that package exists and that you can access it or contact application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installation pack. PLEASE HELP

i got a new lenovo desktop windows 8.1,installed itunes and synced my iphone 4 no problems. then i imported a cd of songs which showed up in recently added but not in main library ,therefore it did not sync to the iphone. how can i get new songs to appear in the main library and sync properly

johnCheck the songs are really not in the Music section of the library by clicking the magnifying glass in the search box and unticking Search Entire Library if it is ticked, then typing in the name of the album. If the tracks still don't show try closing iTunes and deleting a hidden file called sentinel from inside your iTunes folder. This should make iTunes run an integrity check on the database when you start it again. Make sure the tracks are checked before you try syncing again.

I got a new laptop and installed iTunes and plugged in my iPod but it won't get recognized on iTunes or in my computer, the computer says unknown device found and that the software was not successfully installed. I want to back up an Iphone 3G and put all the content into Iphone 4. After I have backed up the Ipone 3G and then when Iphone 4 is connected to Itunes I do not get an Option to restore back up from Iphone 3G. The only devive is see in the drop down list is my Iphone 4. The IOS on Iphone 3G is 4.2.1 and on Iphone 4 is 4.1.
Please share if anyone has any solution to such a problem.You will first have to update your iPhone 4 in order to restore it from the backup of your 3G. Follow the directions here:

This is an erase/restore deal, so make sure all of your data is on your computer before you begin. iOS 6.1.2 will be installed on your iPhone 4.
Once done, on your iPhone 4: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You'll now be able to restore your 3G backup to your iPhone 4. -
