Installed Leopard - now my iSync won't update calendar on Palm?

Has anyone else had this problem? My Palm handheld was syncing nicely with iCal via the iSync software before Leopard upgrade...now it doesn't seem to sync at all?

Geez, I was going to try using my old-school Nano to carry around my contact & calendar info, but now I'm not so sure I even want to try it. (Not to mention that it's hard to read the little screen at my age.)
In the meantime, if you haven't already done so, leave feedback for Apple about iSync here...

The more that people complain about this, the more likely they are to fix it.

You can download iTunes 10.3 here - this will run on Leopard.

  • I deleted my "iPod Slection" playlist and now my iPod won't update.

I don't know exactly how it happened but the songs on my original "iPod Selection" playlist got messed up and so iTunes automatically created another "iPod Selection Playlist" and I didn't want the songs it put in that playlist on my iPod so I deleted it. But now my iPod won't update because it says "your iPod cannot be updated because all the playlists selected for updating no longer exist." If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Seems like you've got auto sync with your iPod and it is looking for a specifically named playlist.
    Check your preferences.
Create a new playlist and sync that.

  • I have downloaded ios 6 on my ipad 2 but it wouldn't install and now my ipad won't work (just has the apple logo on the screen periodically) or reset. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have downloaded ios 6 on my ipad 2 but it wouldn't install and now my ipad won't work (just has the apple logo on the screen periodically) and it won't reset. Any ideas folks? Thanks in advance.

Try restoring the device using iTunes. Connect the iPad to your computer and when iTunes opens, select your device on the left side, then click on the summary tab, then click on Restore.
After the device is restored you will have an opportunity to restore from your backup. Restore from the backup when you are done and then sync with iTunes.
if that doesn't work, try recovery mode.

  • Installed Leopard, Now Logic 8 Doesn't Work

Hi, I installed Leopard. I also downloaded & installed all the software updates. Now, my Leopard will not load. It starts to load, but then crashes while it's showing that it's initializing the Core Audio. I could be wrong, but I'm thinking it might have to do with either the Core Audio load, or whatever comes after that. Anyone have this issue and/or know how to fix it?

    Hi,
The same thing happened to me.
If you have any ReWire Shared Library/Device/plugins or whatever (usually found in Application Support) take them out. Logic should then open.

  • I received a pop-up advising me that update OSX 10.8.3 was available.  I started the download, but it was fouled by something; it did not download/install.  Now I ask for software updates and they tell me "no software updates available."  Help.

I received a pop-up telling me that OSX 10.8.3 was available.  I started the download/ installation, but something interrupted the process and it was not downloaded and/or installed.  Now when I ask for software updates, I det the message that "no updates available."  What do I do to get thei update?

If the installation didn't finish, maybe OS X 10.8.3 was installed partially, and it doesn't show up because the updater already updated the OS X version to 10.8.3, although it doesn't mean that everything was installed and updated. Just to make sure that everything is updated to the version included in 10.8.3, reinstall it with the Combo installer > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1640

  • Installing Leopard 10.5.1 and then updating OS

I have a new Macbook Pro and I need to install Leopard 10.5.1 for software compatibility reasons. I tried doing an install of Leopard 10.5.1 last night but it appeared not to work. Can I install Leopard 10.5.1 and then do the updates on my Macbook Pro? If so, what are the steps that I was missing the first time around?
    Thanks

Ok, you got me there. Missed that change. There are limitations, however. Here is the Apple KB article about it --> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1948
Note the warnings at the top of the article:
Intel-based Macs support starting from an external USB storage device's volume that:
    * Has been formated with a GUID partition type
    * Contains an installation of Mac OS X 10.4.5 or later, or Mac OS X 10.5 or later, which is compatible with (or shipped with) the Mac that the USB device is connected to. Note: You should not use a version of Mac OS X that is earlier ("older") than the version your Mac shipped with.

  • I had to change my FeedBurner links and now my podcasts won't update

I have six podcasts on iTunes right now. I recently had to change the Feed address on FeedBurner for four of them and now I don't know how to change the Feed that the podcasts update from. So I have four podcasts that won't update. Any idea how to change the source Feed of a podcast while still keeping the same iTunes everything.

Without more information one can only comment quite generally. The usual method is that people create the podcast in a program or online service, producing a feed which they then submit to Feedburner. From this, Feedburner creates its own version of the feed, adding some extra tags, and this is then submitted to the iTunes Store. As far as the Store is concerned the Feedburner feed is the podcast feed.
You can change the feed from which Feedburner works in Feedburner, but I can't advise on specifics - you would need to look in Feedburner's Help for that. Doing this doesn't affect the Feedburner feed as far as the Store is concerned.
If you want to move the Store to using a different Feedburner feed you need to follow the proces described here:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/podcast.html#move
You do not need to do this if you are only changing the feed Feedburner works from.

  • Can't install os x server 4; stops at "Updating Calendar service" during installation.

After installing Yosemite I bought the new server 4. During installation, the new OS X Server comes to a point "Updating Calendar service" and the nothing happens.

    Hi
Presumably you have 10.4.x client already installed? What version of the client is it? What version of the OSX Installer DVD are you trying to install? Ideally they should be the same. Currently the latest verison of OSX Universal Installer is 10.4.7, ideally the client should be at least that or better still 10.4.8.

  • Installed snow leopard now FCS2 apps won't work

I just upgraded to snow leopard and yes I know, it's about time, but this is why I don't upgrade unless I have too:-) Now, only FCP works and all other apps that I've tried (DVD studio pro, livetype, motion) "unexpectedly quit" as soon as I try to do  "save as". I can type text into them but changing text color in Livetype causes the crash.
I've done a clean install of FCS2 and repaired permissions to no avail. I've tried searching for answers here and at google as I thought this would have been solved long ago but maybe I'm just not using the correct search terms as nothing helpful has been found.
    thanks, Gary

Thanks. I seem to be having a hard time following the instructions--I'm getting the message
"No receipt for 'com.apple.pkg.ProAppRuntime' found at '/'.
    gary-tompkinss-mac-pro:~ ilovemyremy$ "
when I type sudo pkgutil --forget com.apple.pkg.ProAppRuntime into the terminal. Maybe I'm supposed to?
One more question about the instructions—it says to copy older prokit.framework file to /system/library/privateframeworks, overwriting the newer one, but the files I downloaded are .dmg files, am I just supposed to install them and consider the file "overwritten"?

  • I just installed Lion-now my screensaver won't show photos from my iPhoto album?

After installing Lion (Mac OSX7.3) when I start the screensaver in System Prefs and select my iPhoto cache and any of the albums, all I get for a screensaver is "Flurry" when the screensaver starts. Why won't my photos display as a screensaver like they did in Snow Leopard? Is there a special trick to getting this to work? Also, when I try to disable the screensaver, like when I want to download and install apps that take a really long time to download, the MBP will go to sleep in 15 minutes, even though I have tried to set the sleep time to "Never". This is frustrating. Thanks in advance.....Rodney

Well, now I'll never know.  In the end I had three drives that wouldn't mount properly.  Wouldn't show up at all in disk utility, desktop, nothing.  The first two were a brand new MyBook 3TB USB drive ("Sequoia") and a Lacie Rugged 500GB drive that I was just given by a client ("Drive 21") - probably not a very old drive either.
I had already done what you recommended, unplugging the G-Raid 2TB (very new) drive, another Lacie Rugged 500GB drive ("Susie", a couple years old), and a Lacie 1TB drive (18 months old or so).  Then reset, plugged in Sequoia and Drive 21.  Nothing.  All sorts of other attempts.  Nothing.
Then with everything above already plugged in and Sequoia and Drive 21 not showing up, I pulled Drive 21 and replace it with yet another Lacie Rugged 500TB drive ("Moe") the same age as Susie.  Did not show up.  Then I connected Drive 21 to my Powerbook and it worked fine.  Plugged it back in my Mac Pro daisy chained to Moe and it showed up immediately.
Tried the same process with Sequoia, and no luck anywhere.  Then just powered Sequoia down for a few minutes, plugged back into my Mac Pro and all is well in the world.
So I think there were two things going on.  I think it was all caused by the Lion upgrade, and somehow connecting to my Powerbook helped with some sort of non-scientific reset.  And with Sequoia I think being a USB drive needing a separate power source, it needed a bit of an extra minute or two.
    Thanks for responding.

  • Trying to install Windows 7, but Bootcamp won't update drivers as says no internet

    Hi all,
As it says - I did this successfully last year, but then decided I didn't want Windows 7 on.....now I do....as would like to play MW3 and when I use Bootcamp 4.01 I get the following:
Firstly it tells me there is no WLAN connection. This is BS, as my WLAN is connected fine, and I am on the internet and email at the same time. After inserting my windows disk, (after deselecting download latest files) it says it cannot partition and reformat my entire drive...which I don't want to do, as I don't have a backup harddrive to backup to!
    Any ideas/suggestions/help?
Would I even be able to play MW3 on Windows 7 on my mac (I have the 2011 iMac i5)?? If I can't then not much point going through the install pain

BobTheFisherman > Hem, yeah, that is stating the problem and not working toward resolving it.
Turbostar > I checked the link and it seems to be relating to the first video I have seen on the subject. I tried to install Tuxera then to work with rEFIt, but I did not get any result yet (I don't know if I am doing something wrong during the USB writing process as many different ways are explained on different websites).
So far my last try was to launch Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool on VMware Fusion but it the only disk shown is A:\ Removable disk (not the name of my USB) and it is stated that the disk is being used by another program, even though it's not open on the Mac side.
Some websites are advising to write the copy of windows on a USB via a PC and then launch it on the Macbook, so I might try that in the next few days. I will keep you updated.
If anyone has another option I might not have think about, or an advice on how to efficiently create a bootable Windows setup USB with my Mac, please let me know!

  • Error installing Leopard- now what?

i tried upgrading from 10.3.9 to Leopard. There was any error halfway throught the install, now i cant boot up at all. Cant even access the OSX installation off the DVD. Can i re-install 10.3x from the grey cd without losing all my data?
    HELP!

    Welcome To  Discussions meida!
Did you choose to do a Simple Upgrade, an, Erase & Install, or an Archive & Install?
Did you create a backup of the system before the failed upgrade?
"Can i re-install 10.3x from the grey cd without losing all my data?"
Is that the system disc, for the original version of OSX, that was pre-installed, when the PowerBook G4 was manufactured?
If so, are you able to start up from that, to run Repair Disk?
