Installed Mac OS Lion and now have internet problems??

So, I've installed the new Mac OS Lion on my MacBook Pro and now can only connect to the internet using Firefox - no Safari, no app store or anything else for that matter. Has anyone else experienced the same problems?
I've never had this problem on Snow Leopard and when I go through the Network Diagnostics it says that the internet connection (Wi-Fi) is perfect?!
What's going on??
I'm now having serious doubts of why I upgraded...

I have just installed the MOUNTAIN-LION and now I can´t use my Iphoto-programme without answering the following question:
Choose another Library ? ( But I only want the choose the photos which one was in the old iPhoto-Library and not the other photos on the MAC-computer ? ).
and the other possibility is:
Create a new Libray ! Which iPhoto-library ?
And why create a new and to risq to loose the old photos.

Ok. Let me first ask you, do you have any backups of your files - for example, do you use Time Machine or any other backup system?
Next, quit iPhoto. In the Finder, go to your Pictures folder. Is there a file there called iPhoto.Library? How large is it? (If it doesn't show the size, click once on it, click cmd-I to see the information). If it's a healthy size (ie, several GB), then that should be your library, and you can double-click it to launch iPhoto. (The application will remember where your library is next time, you can just launch iPhoto normally).
If that's not the right file, check your Trash. Is there anything in there?

No. It's perfectly safe. An alias is just a pointer to the actual file, not the file itself.
BTW, the icons in the Dock are also just aliases, so it's safe to remove those as well, and just keep the ones you use often.

About TM "Backup Drive is Full"
Alert TM only deletes older files if they have been deleted from the source and when TM needs space on the backup drive for a new incremental backup. Time Machine "thins" it's backups; hourly backups over 24 hours old, except the first of the day; those "daily" backups over 30 days old, except the first of the week. The weeklies are kept as long as there's room.
So, how long a backup file remains depends on how long it was on your Mac before being deleted, assuming you do at least one backup per day. If it was there for at least 24 hours, it will be kept for at least a month. If it was there for at least a week, it will be kept as long as there's room.
Note, that on a Time Capsule the sparsebundle grows in size as needed, but doesn't shrink. Thus, from the user's view of the TC it appears that no space has been freed, although there may be space in the sparsebundle.
Once TM has found it cannot free up enough space for a new backup it reports the disk is full. You can either erase the backup drive and start your backups anew or replace the drive with a larger drive.

1. my sound sometimes mutes it self (sound control grayed out) or it switches rapidly from interior speakers to headphones.

I upgraded from Snow Leopard to the latest Mountain Lion OS and now my Wifi will not work. When I try and insert the password to my Wifi network states either 'connection timed out' or 'password and/or user name not recognised' please help...!

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
Restart the router. Many problems are solved that way.
Step 2
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
Step 3
From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
Click the Assist me button and select Assistant. Follow the prompts.
Step 4
Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.

You may need to change other settings on the router. See the guidelines linked below:

Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.

Installed MAC OS Lion and updated iTunes some Icons in dock bounce and won't lauch

I install the new Mac OS Lion after I updated the Itunes started to have problems with the icons in the doc bounce and won't launch the program. This is getting fustrating because I do not know what elese to do. It got so back that no program would launch so I had to do a system retore and then it work. There has to be something I am missing.

Thanks Eric! I had to do a retore because everything came back ok on verifying disk. This happened to me last time when I updated to snow leopard. Now my icons work on my dock now but when I go in application such as iweb and my mac office 2008 it will not launch. I may have to reinstall these programs unless you know what to do.

My browser is not working and I cannot close it to reinstall. I installed to updates and now have this problem.

Installed latest flash player and now have lost audio

I finally updated to the lates flash player - version 10.2.153.1 and now when I play a file from the Investors website I get video but no audio.
I tried several of the files at the website and no joy.
I was able to go to the ESPN site and play a video stream there and the audio was ok.
My Zune music mp3 files play ok
I don't know where to go to begin troubleshooting this problem.
This was working prior to the upgrade. I am on XP with sp3 using IE 8

Installed Leopard 10.5.2, now have wifi problems

I upgraded my macbook to 10.5.2 last night, and everything seemed fine. I was able to get on my home wireless (WEP security) with no prob and do a sys update. I took it in to work today, and the wireless was a no-go. It's an open network, don't need to log in. I didn't have a problem joining it with 10.4.x, but now I have to type the network name in manually via "Join other networks" in the airport drop down.
Even after I connect via this method, it won't connect to the internet, as it will only do a self-assigned IP address. Just to check, I used a co-worker's macbook (same as mine, just with 10.4), and it still worked fine.
The only thing that has changed on my system is the new OS.

Try this. Navigate to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder. Delete all but the com.apple.Boot.plist and com.apple.PowerManagement.plist files.
Restart the computer and reconfigure Network preferences.

Update to 8.0.02 and now have a problem

I have just downloaded and updated to IOS 8.0.02 and everything seemed fine.
Then I updated the apps and it is now stuck on "Copying 1 of 6: Pages"
I tried to eject the phone and now I have the Syncing iPhone barbers pole happening.
What do I do now???

Tried doing a clean install of lion and now have a folder with question mark appearing when mac boots

I purchased a 2011 mac mini I was having some issues and as I had already bought lion for one of my other macs and put it on a usb key I formatted the mac mini's hdd and put the usb key in to one of the Mini's usb ports and booted the mini up and held down c when the white scren appeard it stayed white for a few secnds and then a folder with a question mark started flashing no option to select my connected usb key I tried several more re boots and each time got the exact same result.
What on earth has apple done so now I can't even access attached drives during booting.
Any ideas how I can sort this out?

Maybe it is not "what has Apple done" You may have jumped the gun a little formatting your system so quickly without ensuring you can actually boot via an alternate method.
The mini has a recovery partition, and instructions how to reinstall the OS from that.
USB drive. Sounds to me like you don't have a proper OSX Bootable USB drive?
Also, the new way Apple allows reinstallation is over the internet too.
