Installed Nokia PC Suite version 6.86.9.3

Hi
I downloaded and installed the latest PC suite today 19/06/2008 (hope it is). I now have problems sending sms's via the software, can not browse my images on the phone.
Error that I get when browser opens is: Failed to start update.
I have tried the following: uninstall and reinstall software. Uninstall all updates.
Have a Nokia N73 and running XP Pro
Is there some one that can help me?

As this problem is related to an Eseries device be sure i future to post it under the Eseries section of the board
The E65-1 has had a staggered life on the NSU supported phones list. Initially it was not supported then later it was addedd. currently I believe it has been removed again for reasons unknown.
The best would be to take it to a Nokia service centre close to you and have it upgraded there

I had the same problem and I resolved it doing this:
With 7zip I unzipped the PC Suite.exe file, into the new folder (with the name”PC Suite”) I found and installed the PCCS.exe and after that I installed the PC Suite.exe that was into the “PC Suite” folder...

ps: I found somewhere that we have to install in order VC80_x86, CCD, PCCS and Nokia_PC_Suite files...For my part I don't have any problems with only PCCS and PC Suite.

Installing nokia ovi suite is taking forever!

am trying to update my nokia 5530 version thru pc.(because it didn't work other than this) well installing nokia ovi suite is really taking very long time. i connected the usb cable but still it just isn't finishing

Installing Nokia PC Suite 6.83 in silent mode

Installing Nokia PC Suite 6.83 in silent mode will still start the connection wizard. I do not want to start anything after the installation.
The /DISABLE=”AUTORUN” is not working.
I use the command line:
Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_web.exe /SILENT="1" /DISABLE="AUTORUN"
I want to install Nokia PC Suite 6.83 completly hidden and without starting anything after the installation.

Hi. Just to note I'm currently googling this issue as I have the same issue, and have found various pages that point to either
a) Workaround (for XP)
b) Use of the MSI driver *with the device you already have*
c) use of the widcomm bluetooth stack
I'm making notes of any useful pages here & will try seeing if they work later.

I can't install Nokia PC Suit 7.1 on my HP Laptop which is on Windows 7.It shows me this message
"The system cannot find the file specified"

Not sure if you downloaded the installer from HERE !!
Why not try the Nokia Suite which is a much later application launched by Nokia ..though that also may seem outdated now with no further developement ...

Error installing nokia ovi suite

When I tried to update ovi suite there were errors and it quit updating.
So I deleted the program from my laptop, download the new version from the nokia site and tried to instal it.
And I get this error all the time:
Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Tss\ProductApiLoader\ta_procutapiloader.dll failed to register. HRESULT-2147024891.
Contact your support personnel.
And this I get when I instal it as user, as user with adminrules and as admin account.

Was facing the same problem. Try this: uninstall nokia ov suite. Disconnect from the internet and any other network, if you are on a LAN and also disconnect any storage devices from your computer. Disable your antivirus software and then try installing Ovi Suite, it worked for me.

When I try to install the PC suite it shows me an error. It apears that he can't registrate some components like CommonSelectDevice.dll, the error is:HRESULT -2147024770

The PC suite was working at the time but when I changed the USB port that I connect the cable the Suite stoped working and I tryed to reinstall it but it won't let that happen so easely

Unknown error installing Nokia Ovi Suite

HI, i just downloaded noki ovi suite and it reports an error in the intalling part. it says unknown error: 1601. my systens configs are:
Aspire 5050-5954
Athlon 64x2 tk35
120gb hd
1 gb ddr2
windows 7 premium x64

I am not sure whether this will solve your problem but if have not followed this can try it once.
1. Check add/remove program and Uninstall PC Suite & ovi Suite, PC Connectivity solution and Nokia Connectivity cable drivers from Add/remove if anything is there
2. Run new PC Suite cleaner.
3. Delete the files from here:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Nokia\Ovi Suite
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OviInstallerCache
4. Restart your PC
5. Go for windows update (Start?> windows update)
6. Restart PC again
7. Install latest OviSuite 2.2 http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/nokia-ovi-suite

Installing nokia pc suite

I tried several times to install the PC Suite and Nokia OVI but when installing they have arrested 22 or 17 per cent. I downloaded several times but no facilities still not working. Please help me with your knowledge; Thanks in advance.

Problem: is that i have deleted all the nokia PC suites .msi files in "C"\windows\installer" directory...
Now i'm unable to uninstall/repair/re-install even with 20.5 mb installing package..
Is there any command line parameter which igonores previous installations and overwrite current installations???

You can try the instructions in the two posts below (the ones that involve going into the registry) to see if this fixes your problem, but be VERY CAREFUL. If you make a mistake you won't be able to start your computer successfully anymore.
No offence, but if you don't feel confident enough, then don't do this !
You can read here for more information on a more indepth way on how to reinstall PC Suite, but please read each thread completely before proceeding.

Nokia Pc Suite Version Problem 7.0.7.0 No Arabic

Pc Suite Version 7.0.7.0 can not display Arabic SMS.
I tried to the Arabic version, the same problem.
Windows XP SP3
PC Suite 7.0.7.0
Cable Connection.
I think this is a problem with the arabic font, not encoding.
as I managed to send SMS in arabic although I was not able to read it while typing it.

In this forum and in some other forums, it was discussed that Nokia will be having beta testing for its next pc suite 7.1. So you can wait for some more time, till its get released for end users, hopefully your will be rectified in the next release

- The installer stop for it can't remove the "Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver"
- The "Nokia PC suite cleaner" can't remove it
- The windows standard tool can't remove (can't find the .msi file)
- I have tried to remove all the Nokia inscription trough regedit - then renaming the Nokia folder just to try a new installation but it was still impossible to "remove" this driver so the installation failed again.
- I have tried the same, after a new inscription of the windows msi installer - nothing change.
- A nokia process was still working in the background (Nokia server), I kill it, but it's still imposible to remove the "missing" driver.

Problems installing Nokia PC suite on xp pro SP1 w...

I have been trying to install various versions of PC Suite on my work laptop which runs xp pro SP1 to use with my E71.
PC Suite 7.0 instructions say it does not work with SP1 (and i did try but would not install)
I've tried 6.83 which installed but can't get pc suite to recognise the E71 even using the cable. Have tried full re-install, repairing the installs etc etc (per other discussions)
Any tips gladly accepted

Easy:
Update your copy of Windows XP to SP3 (which is latest service pack).
The lower version of the PC Suite you mentioned "may" not be compatible with your E71 which may explain why the PC Suite can't see the handset.

Dual Install of Developer Suite Version

Is it possible to have a dual install of Oracle developer suites on my workstation
We are upgrading from 9i to 10g and need to provide support for 9i but do work on 10g so it is critical that i have both without them interfering.
Is this possible, for exaple using different oracle Homes

We've done this when we upgraded from 10.1 (10gR1) to 10.1.2.0.2 (10gR2) and then to 10.1.2.3.0 (10gR2 Patch set 3) so we could support older versions of our Forms application using 10gR1 while developing the latest version using 10gR2/10gR2PS3.
This works without any problems. However, you should change your local OC4J startup batch files in the developer suite homes and set the corresponding ORACLE_HOME environment variable and add its bin subdirectory to the beginning of the PATH. Otherwise, you'll probably get errors like "Web client version too old".
