Installed OS6, and the music player stops when opening the web browser...

I downloaded and installed OS6 on my iPhone 4 last Thursday. It seemed to be working fine, and then at the gym while listening to music, the player kept stopping whenever I opened Safari. When I got home, I backed up and reinstalled the operating system. It seemed to be fine, but then today, the same issue reappeared. Has anyone had issues with the music player crashing when opening Safari or other apps on OS6

Hmm, looks like launching iBooks shuts down any background audio. Once iBooks is running however you can switch apps, restart the audio and return to iBooks. Provided you don't open a multimedia book like the Beatles Yellow Submarine freebie then you can read without disrupting the audio playback.
I've tried choosing different titles in iBooks, or just the library, then quitting the app, running some audio and starting iBooks again. It repeatedly pauses audio even when iBooks doesn't have any immediate use for the audio channel. As long as you don't actively shut down the iBooks app however you can choose some music as background when you are reading.

That's the way it works. If you don't want to be bothered with calls while you're listening to music, put it in airplane mode.

I have a new I Pod Nano 6th Gen and took to apple store cause the music would also stop playing and the headphones were not working. Apple was able to restoe it due to the voice over button had been hit by accident so screen would not work tried to do the power and volume down reset but would not work also and took them about 10 mins to get it restored at the store. And the headphone problem was due to small amount of debris stuck down in the headphone jack. They had looked at hole for earbuds and saw that something was blocking the headphones from seating all the way.. They tried with their tools to clear and could not get out the object with their tools but showed me how to look down the plug for the headphones with a flaslight and you should be able too see a small white dot at bottom of plug and if you can not see white dot at the bottom something is in the hole blocking it.. I took a needle and gently tried to pull object out and was able to break up small piece of debris that had got jammed in hole and then the debris came right out when turn over the nano and shook out small amount of the debris and then looked with flash light down plug hole and was able to see whit dot and was able to put headphones in and they worked fine. I do not recommend to try this if do not have good hand skills and can GENTLY break up piece of debris to shake out took about ten mins to clean out and see the white spot at the bottom indicating plug was now unblocked and saved $75.00 for a replacement nano that was a 16gb that cost me $100.00 to buy new factory sealed Good Luck but they were very helpful at the store!!!...resetting unit quickly and pain free

Installed Skype and now Flash Player won't open in new window

I installed the latest version of Skype and now Flash Player does not work properly.
I just bought a new laptop, it has Windows 7, 32 bit, IE 9, and Flash 10.
A website that I go to all the time uses Flash Player so when you click on a link in the site it pops out the player into a new window and you can listen while you still browse on their site. After I installed Skype last night, that 'pop-out' function is no longer there. The player now replaces the webpage and it is very large and distorted because it is supposed to be in a small pop-out window. No matter what I click, I can't get the link to open in a new window, it always opens in the same window replacing the webpage.
I uninstalled Skype and then used the manual uninstaller of Flash because the uninstall would not work from the uninstall screen in Windows. I then reinstalled the latest version of Flash Player and I still have the same problem.
Is this a setting that I can change somewhere??

Hi eidnolb, thanks for the reply.
I did uninstall the google toolbar that was installed with skype.
I now found that it is not just flash player that won't open in a new window, I can't get any link at all to open in a new tab or a new window.
I tried restoring IE's settings and that did not work.
I know this is an adobe forum and my problem is now much larger than just adobe, but if you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Can we default the latest organization hierarchy when opening the org hierarchy form?

We have several versions of the organization hierarchy. The older versions are end dated and the newer version(say version number 5) is active now.
When the users go into the organization hierarchy form, it takes us to the first version and then users have to use the down arrow on the key board to get to the latest active version. Sometimes, the users are forgetting they have to go to the new version and making changes in the incorrect version. Is there a way to always default the latest version to show up first when the form is opened?

One thing I noticed is that the default numbering given to the hierarchies is 1,2,3,4 and 5 ...etc with 1 being the oldest. For my hierarchies, If I give numbers as 5,4,3,2,1 with 5 being the oldest, it is showing the latest version 1 as soon as we open the form. This is helping me address my requirement. Any ideas if this is going to cause any problems anywhere if I change the default numbering of the hierarchies?

Project HTM Files are Blurry when opened in Web Browser

Hello, I'm hoping someone on this discussion board can help me!
I have created a video project for work in Adobe Captivate 6 and have published it. I now need to upload this video project onto our company's website.
In short, here is my problem: When I open the HTM file for my video project from the original file source, it appears normal. However, once I wrote a path to the HTM file in our website's HTML code and went to open the page in my internet browser (I've been using Firefox) the video appears blurry.
How can this be? Clearly the quality of the HTM file is fine, since it was not blurry when I opened it from the original file source. Can anyone think of a reason why it is blurry when opened in an internet browser? I know this sometimes can happen with the SWF files because internet browsers can alter their dimensions, but I thought using HTM files was supposed to help in avoiding these sorts of problems.

Is there a way to set the dock to show when no windows are up, but when I click on a web browser, like Firefox, it hides itself? Thanks!

What version of the Mac OS are you using with your computer? There is something like this available in 10.8 (Mountain Lion) - Full Screen. This feature is not available in previous versions.

No there is no way. The phone has priority over accessory functions. This is common knowledge to all that have these kinds of phones. If this is going to be an issue then get a dedicated media player without a phone. ALL devices do this, to include the iPhone.

I tried to download the update but something went wrong so when I open Firefox I get the error message: The procedure entry point JS_GetOperationLimit could not be located in the dynamic link library js3250.dll.
What do I do? DO I reinstall Firefox? And if so, how do I restore my bookmarks?

If you can't reinstall Firefox yourself then you need to contact your IT department and ask them to check the Firefox installation.
It is possible that some files got broken with the latest update.

How can I stop my iPhone 5 from starting the music player randomly on its own?

I have an iPhone 5 running the latest version of iOS. Sometime last year (maybe shortly after I originally upgraded to iOS 7), the phone developed a nasty habit of starting up the music player during phone conversations when I connected to my Mazda's Bluetooth system. Oddly enough, I can hear the music playing over the phone conversation but the person on the other end of the phone line can't. To stop the music, I have to open the Music App and then close the App. Note that the Music App did NOT have to be previously open for the music to start, and the Music App doesn't usually show as an open App even after the music starts on its own. The problem has persisted through the last few iOS updates and it now happens in a broader range of circumstances (e.g., I have told the iPhone to forget the Mazda adapter, and it now does the same thing with my Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset). I usually have to go through this sequence at least twice per Bluetooth pairing session before the phone stops trying to start the music player on its own during phone calls.
The problem went away temporarily when I did a full reset of the phone, but it came back after a few days (even when I added apps & music back without restoring from an iOS backup).
Has anyone found a way to fix this problem once and for all? If I can find a fix, it's enough of an annoyance that it might convince me to go Android with my next phone. Thanks in advance...

I've tried syncing with itunes and icloud. The missing contacts are nowhere to be found. I just re-enter them on my iphone and proceed on my not so merry way. Next time I look for a contact, it might be there or it might not. It is not necessarily the same contact. It appears that my oldest contacts seem to be the ones disappearing

Nokia music player stopped working

I have a Nokia 5500 sport and I have recently put a 2 Gb micro SD card in it. Before I had a 1 Gb micro SD and everything worked just fine. But since I put in the bigger card the music player stopped working. It just closes and does not start up.
If I look up the music files in the phones exporer I can start the music from their but I cant enter the library from the music player. Whats wrong? I tried to remove the memory card and then it worked. Is a 2 Gb micro SD card too big for the phone?

The Music player on my iphone 4 doesn't actually play anything

Music, podcasts, whenever I try to play anything in the music app, the timer stays at 0:00 when I press play. Any other part of the app acts like it's playing something, but it isn't. Other apps work (Video). It's just the one app, but It won't let me delete or reinstall it.

Since update to iOS7 my iPhone the music player does not play music videos in landscape/fullscreen anymore, how can this be fixed?

The music player only shows all the album covers but doesn't play the video. Only in portait mode it plays the video in a very small window. Makes no sense at all, worked perfectly in iOS6.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
