Changed my Virgin to Sky, now I can't see my Shared Drive. Why?

Got a Seagate Central as my shared wireless drive.
Worked fine until we got rid of Virgin and replaced with Sky.
Now I can't see the Shared Drive wirelessly. Only works when I connect via Ethernet.
What am I doing wrong please?You will have to talk to the Sky technical people about this. As you are replacing a previous system (in effect) they should be able to confirm their way of meeting your needs.

Installed ITunes now system can not read my cd drive at all

Have installed itunes but now my laptop will not read my cd/dvd drive which was previously working fine. No matter what program I use the cd drive just whirs and then nothing. Pleae help, here is my diagnostic:

is there an error message citing "code 41" showing up next to the CD in Device Manager?
(we've got techniques for dealing with the Packard-Bell-code-41-optical-drive-disappearances, but i just want to make sure that's what we're dealing with in your case.)

I wanted to move my home folder to an external drive. I created a new home folder and in advanced options I moved it over. I didn't however move my files over first, my bad. Now I can't see the hard drive on my mac mini. Is it possible to reverse it or get access to the old home folder and is it possible to still use the mac mini's internal hard drive for storage? How do I find my shared folder, it was on the internal drive. I'm new to macs as you might have guessed at this debockle. Can anyone help?
I'm using Mavricks. I wanted to move my home directory to an external and went into sys prop/users/advanced options and moved the folder ok. Being a noobie on Macs I didn't copy my data and such. So my settings were all new. Basicly now I don't see the internal drive on my mini. There is a lot of strage I'm not able to access. The internal drive doesn't show up. How can I put a folder back onto it so it shows up?

Can't see external hard drive after error code -36
Hi, was copying iphoto data from an WD My Passport 750GB external hard drive to my MACBook when the system said it could not complete the copy as it had encountered a problem and indicated error code -36. Now I can't see the external drive (or any data) on any computer. I have tried 3 different MACs to no avail. The drive makes a soft beeping noise but then stops but the light stays on.
Any ideas on how I can get access to my data??Make sure the cable is securely seated on the device side.
If that's not the problem, then either the drive mechanism or the enclosure has failed. If you don't have backups, you'd better hope it's the latter. Remove the mechanism from the enclosure and install it another enclosure. You can buy fairly inexpensive USB docks that a SATA drive drops into with no need for disassembly.
Failing that, your only chance is to send the drive to a recovery service such as Drive Savers. They disassemble the drive mechanism in a clean room and mount the platters in another drive. Cost will be in the 4-5 figure range, and the results are uncertain.
If you don't have backups, you don't have data. -
I have just upgrade Itunes (10.6.3.25) and now I can not see my Ipad anymore. before the upgrade it was working fine. I already tried all suggestions from the support page, except re-installing Itunes. any suggestions?

Yes. Reinstall iTunes. If that is the point at which you stopped trying the support suggestions then it makes sense to me, that you move on to the next suggestion and if reinstalling iTunes is the next suggestion, so be it.
However .... I too have issues that arise out of the blue with my iPad being recognized in iTunes and what I always do and it eventually works is to quit iTunes, restart my MacBook, and reboot my iPad.
Rebooting the iPad is the last thing that I do and only if I have no success with quitting iTunes and restarting the Mac. It may take a few tries to work, but if you are that dead set against reinstalling iTunes, then give it a try. -
I installed Prokit 7 upgrade today and now I can't see any of my type 1 fonts when in Indesign or Photoshop. Not sure if the upgrade did it, but it seemed to coincide with the problem. I am a graphic artist spend all day everyday using these programs, hardly ever have a font problem. Anyone have a similar problem?

Hey, I just installed ML on my OCZ Octane SSD, everything went ok, However, it got stuck while rebooting and now I can only see flashing question mark icon and ML won't boot at all. Only in safe mode...

Crashes so installed recent update now I can't see ANY of my adjustments
Aperture crashed a lot so I updated with recent software update. Now I can't see ANY of my adjustments on any of my photos. Also if I want to make new adjustments the presets do not show preview. PLEASE HELP!!! This is slowing my progress down!

My kids had 2 games of clash of clans on 1 game centre. Now I can only see one? How can I find the other one?
My daughter set up a game centre on her ipad. My son, on his ipad used the same game centre log in. He then set up his own game of clash of clans. After my son set up his Clash of Clans, my daugher set up her own Clash of Clans using the same game centre log in on her ipad. Both were using the Clash of Clans successfully on their own ipads using the same game centre log in.
One day my son signed into someone elses Clash of Clans, since then he is unable to go back to his Clash of Clans and can only see his sisters.

thanksThanks for taking a stab at it: that didn't prove to be the problem. That option in the settings for tabbed browsing was not checked.
I may be a bit behind the times: I am used to tabbed browsing showing all the tabs it possibly can, instead of just the last one. Sometimes it won't even show the last tab: I can have 15 tabs open, and not see a single tab. I've been confused by this into closing a window with lots of tabs open, because it looks like a single page-window.
My main problem with the tab-bar flashing to the end of the row is that it means a great deal more mouse-clicking around to browse.
I haven't tried installing the latest beta. Maybe that would fix the problem.

I think you guys make a great point, I too don't like how my cookies are erased when I clear history and have to use the go around. Replace old router with WRT110 and now I can not see shared printer on network
Replaced a BEFW11S4 with a WRT110. Now I can not see a shared printer on the network any more. I have not changed anything on the computer that has the printer shared. I can see the internet on all the computers, but not the shared printer. can you help?
First which you need to check, is your printer is working Offline on your computer. In this case you need to Re-map your Printer on your Computers back again. First check if you have any Firewall or Antivurs Installed on your computer try to disable it and check if you are able to print from your computer. If not then try to Remap the printer on your computer.
Go to Network connections window and if you are able to see your computer name on which the printer is installed, then right click on the Printer and click on "Connect" or "MAP" once done you will be able to print from your computer.
Note down the IP address of the Computer on which you have Installed the Printer. (Click on Start - Run - CMD and click Ok, now in the command prompt type "ipconfig" and note down the Ip address, Then go to your other computer and Click on Start - Run - CMD and click Ok and now in the Command prompt type "ping (IP address of your main computer) and hit enter and check if you are getting any replies. If yes, then again click on "Start - Run - type ( \\ip address of your main computer) and click Ok, and now you will be able to see your printer name then right click on it and click on "Connect" or Map, once done, now check if you are able to print from your computer. -
