Installed photoshop cc (2014) and lost image processor from Bridge

How do I get back Image Processor from the Tools drop down menu in Bridge?  I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Bridge and Photoshop and have no positive results.

I know some modules went kablooey when I uninstalled Photoshop CC 14.x but I fixed it by uninstalling everything and reinstalling.
Maybe try the CC Cleaner Tool?

  • Problem using Image Processor from Bridge

I have been using the Image Processor to process photos from Bridge for quite some time. However, I recently received an error message when I try to initiate Image Processor from Bridge and I have not been able to find any help topics that address my problem: I select images in Bridge to process, then click "Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor". Photoshop opens and the familiar Image Processor dialog box opens. Item 1 in the dialog box says "Process files from Bridge only" and has the number of files I have selected in parenteses. I select the file type and other settings in #3, and preferences in #4. When I click "Run", I get an error message window that says: "Script Alert. There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop". The Image Processor works if I open the files in Photoshop first, then run it by selecting "File>Scripts>Image Processor" and tell it to process all open files.
Would someone be able to help me with this problem?
    Thanks, Larry

Usually when it worked before and not now, and you have added no new software or hardware I recommend resetting the preferences.  Hold down the Ctrl key and click on the Bridge icon to start.  You should get a reset window with 3 options.

  • Using Image Processor from Bridge

I'm trying to use the image processor from within Bridge. I have done this several times in the past, as recently as last week.
I have some files selected in Bridge. I select "Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor" and the dialog box opens. Step 1 indicates that I have files to process (10 in this instance), and I have JPEG selected as the file type to process. When I click "Run", I get an error message that says "Script Alert" in the title. The message in the window says "There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop".
I opened the same 10 files in Photoshop, and I was able to run the Image Processor on them while they were open in Photoshop. I'd rather not do this unless I have to.
I haven't added any new programs or plug ins since the last time I used the Image Processor from Bridge.
I had the same problem in early June, and the solution suggested then fixed the problem. I'm experienceing the same problem today, and the same solution doesn't seem to be working now.
The previous solution was to reset the preferences by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on the Bridge icon to start. A reset window with 3 options popped up. Now, w
I would sincerely appreciate any help you could give me with this.
    Thanks,
Larryhen I hold the control key down and click on the Bridge icon, I don't get the reset window. I tried it by control-clicking on the Bridge icon from within Photoshop, and I tried it by control-clicking on the Bridge icon from my desktop with Photoshop closed.

Read you original post again and your last post and now I am confused.
You said you reset your Bridge preferences, yet in post #1 you said " I hold the control key down and click on the Bridge icon, I don't get the reset window. I tried it by control-clicking on the Bridge icon from within Photoshop, and I tried it by control-clicking on the Bridge icon from my desktop with Photoshop closed.
So with this said you have not reset the preferences unless you have gone in and deleted the file.  The Bridge Icon is the one one the desktop that you click to start Bridge.
BUT, in last post you say you have a Mac.  So to reset preference believe it is Cmd key.
No matter how you do it you need to get the reset window with the 3 reset options.

  • CS5 Crashes using Image Processor from Bridge

Photoshop CS5 64 and 32 crashes when using the image processor from Bridge after 200 images or so.  Converting 1000 RAW files to PSD or PSD to JPEG takes multiple reloads.  any ideas?

I've encountered a non-repeatable variation of this problem from time to time: crash occurs at startup of image processor when Photoshop is open and has been running for some time.  (I've not seen the error where Bridge > Image Processor causes launch of Photoshop.)  Once I've started a run it has not failed to complete all images (but I'm not converting RAW files and not as many files as 1000).  ScriptingSupport.8li is listed in event log problem signature.

  • How to Re-install Photoshop CC after installing Photoshop CC 2014 and un-installing Photoshop CC

    1) Installed Photoshop CC 2014 from Creative Cloud.
    2) Removed Photoshop CC.
Now I would like to re install Photoshop CC because not all my extensions are compatible with Photoshop CC 2014.
I don't want to uninstall Photoshop CC 2014 and I also would like to mantain Photoshop CC 2014 my default Photoshop app launched from LR and Bridge.
    How can I do this?

  • Install Photoshop CC 2014 and uninstall Photoshop CC?

    Hi.
If i have installed Photoshop CC 2014, can I uninstall photoshop CC?
    Thanks

Yes, though (assuming you have sufficient disk space) you might want to keep the older one for a little while until you're sure everything in CC 2014 works as well as you need, and you're sure you don't need the several features that have been removed (Oil Paint, Flash-based extension panels).
A few folks have reported that if they uninstall the older version they find it necessary to uninstall and reinstall the newest version just to make sure all linkages with external programs are re-established.  If you end up going through that, this may help with removal:

  • Image processor from Bridge problem

ONe of most annoying things with Bridge is that often, image processor wont open from Bridge -- unless you quit out and relaunch Bridge -- quite a hassle.

You are absolutely correct. In order to pass selected images in bridge over to photoshop, you need to invoke IP from within Bridge. I didn't make that connection from your earlier post.
So your original request makes sense. Personally, I would rather see an improvement in Image Processor (as well as the Batch dialog) that allowed one to specify the source as "Bridge".
In photoshop 7, in the batch dialog, you could specify the source of the files to be batched as "Open Files", "folder", or "File Browser". If you choose File Browser, the batch action will be performed on files selected within FB.
In CS2, in the batch dialog, you can see Bridge as an option, but it's grayed out. You can only invoke the Batch operation on files selected in Bridge from within Bridge - a serious shortcoming.
The same theme holds true for Image Processor, and indeed, it looks like most of the scripts behave that way.
So rather than have a shortcut, I would like, as I say, the ability to specify bridge as a source in the dialog boxes for the image processor and batch dialogs.

  • Image Processor from Bridge CS5

Lately, I have been getting this error message when trying to access the Image Processor (PS CS5)from Bridge CS5: "Sorry something major happened and I can't continue". I called Adobe support and was told that it might be related to third party plugins. The puzzling part is that I have been using all of the above with no problems for over a year . . I am using a Mac Pro, OS 10.6.4, with 10 G of RAM, and have the latest updates to PS and Bridge. Any suggestions?

One way around the problem would be to use a different processor..

  • Plug-in for Canon iPF8400 not recognised in Photoshop CC 2014. Lost Topaz and Nik Software as well.

I have just updated to Photoshop CC 2014 and lost the plug-ins for Canon iPF8400 printer, Topaz Labs, and Nik Software. I had been asked if I wanted to migrate plug-ins and said yes. I have dropped the plug-ins into the Photoshop plug in folder but they are note being recognised.

Similar problems here with Topaz Labs plug-ins.
Unfortunately I have now uninstalled Photoshop CC so the option of copying them into Photoshop CC 2014 is no longer viable and Photoshop CC 2014 simply does not recognise them.
Waiting for response from Topaz labs

  • After installing Photoshop CC 2014 all "Open With" references are gone?

    Hi!
I installed Photoshop CC 2014 and uninstalled Photoshop CC.
I also check the Bridge -> Preferences -> File association settings: There is always "Photoshop" mentioned. So far it looks fine.
So no NEF or PSD file are linked to Photoshop CC 2014. Neither it is displayed in the "Open With" dialog. But Photoshop CC 2014 should be displayed there.
I would like to add any screenshots here, but the add image dialog showns me only an empty dialog :-(
    So please fix that issue.
Actually, I've to open the file by starting Photoshop and navigate to the files all the time. That is really annoying.

  • Droplet to send images to Image Processor from Mac Finder?

Is there a way to create droplet that will just send whatever images you drop on it to the Photoshop Image Processor script?
Basically the same thing that happens when you select images from Bridge and select Image Processor from the Tools > Photoshop menu.
I'd just like a way to do that via drag and drop from the Finder.
    Thanks.

No, Bridge can communicate with Photoshop to send a list of the selected files, this can not be done with a droplet

  • I have Photoshop CS5 and my image processor and batch tool are gone. How do I get them back?

I have Photoshop CS5 and my image processor and batch tool are gone. How do I get them back?
I went into edit preference and all the start up scrips are selected so what else is there?

When you installed CS5, you have a chance to register it. If you do, your serial number is on file under your Adobe (My Products). If you did not, you have no serial number on file and even worse, no proof you own it.
You do not have your serial number copied down anywhere? Hard to believe you tossed the dvd box and all the documents away.
So Help > Register might give you a chance to do this without you knowing the number.

I installed Photoshop CC (2014) yesterday through the Creative Cloud app. Now, when in Lightroom when I go to "edit in"and select Photoshop CC (2014) and click on "edit copy with Lightroom adjustments",  it opens Photoshop CC (2014) but my photo doesn't show up?  My photo does show up when I click on "edit copy" or "edit original".
How can I correct that so that I can open up a photo from Lightroom WITH the Lightroom adjustments? Thanks!

I'm having a similar problem, but only with jpg's. I have PS CS6, CC, and CC 2014. Other image file formats function normally with regard to the "open with" list. PS CC 2014 appears on the list. But with jpg's only PS CC appears on the "open with" list and 2014 can't be added by the browsing for it.
The curious thing is that if I have any of the three versions of Photoshop open, click on Photoshop CC in the "open with" list, the image opens in whatever version is already open on my computer. This is true of all image formats. No matter which version I pick from the "open with" list it opens in the currently running program. I use only the latest version so keeping it open all the time is an easy work around. I won't uninstall any of the earlier versions lest more file association quirks result. it would be nice to have this matter fixed.
