Installed ROVE MOBILE VIEWER: what is the device password????????????

installed the above program and when i go to hook my usb to my blackberry it asks me on this program to input the device password.....not sure what its looking for because i don't use a password on my blackberry......has anyone else used this program and what did you put?????

So, in the Rove instructions... what does it say? You should create a password for the application ON the device, I suspect you have not done that?

The first time I attempted to install ML was on a late 2011 MBP. It ran for three minutes then gave me the error message: Could not install OSX due to an unexpected error. I was using the original ML install app, not a USB or other drive.
After a couple of restarts wiht the same result I saw a message to the effect that the install was trying to close open apps. I closed apps manually a few times to no avail. I shut down instead of restarting then booted into Safe mode (hold down the shift key when starting) and that did it. The install went smoothly after that.
I since installed ML in two iMacs using a cloned copy of the install app on a USB drive. This time I shut down the computers and booted into Safe Mode first and there were no problems.
I don't know if this issue is the one causing you these problems but it is a simple enough solution to try.

You can't, it was built-in to iOS and is not in the store. Google are supposed to be working on app version of maps, and in the meantime you could try accessing it via Safari : http://maps.google.com

I ended up disabling the nuvi bluetooth -- I don't subscribe to any smartlink services -- so I'll guess i'll go without Weather on the nuvi for now.

If I click the "Connect As..." button it asks for a username and password.
I've experienced connecting to other user's computers on a network. To gain access to their computer, I just use their username and password. I've done this before to transfer files without using a flash drive or burned disk.
I'm trying to find out what I'm supposed to log on as to gain access to this device...
My point is that yes, I'm connected to it by wifi. Otherwise it wouldn't show up; ha-ha!
Is my point really that hard to grasp?

I have installed the SP15 SneakPreview. When i am trying to deploy a webdynpro application into portal from NWDS2.0.15, it is asking for SDM password.
Can anyone please tell me what is the default password, because i dont remember providing any SDM password during the installation.
I tried giving the Portal passwword, but it does not seem to work

Critical: My BB Passport not recognizing the device password

Hi Support folks, Have been using this Passport for 45 days and today surprisingly it is not recoginizing the device password. Its says 5 more attempts left, however I have tried it many times more than 10 times and still shows the same message. I tried to connect to BB Link and when entered the device password it just thinks and does nothing. I feel the backend file associated my device is locked out. I tried restarting the device several times with no luck. I have to access this device asap to access my data, mails, contacts and make calls. Pleae help me asap.

I had a real bad 6-8 hours in my life. Things I tried with no luck: - Entered the correct password close to 100 times still it says 5/10 attempts- Restarted the phone by using the power button Long 10 seconds press - Many many times , No luck- Hard restarted the phone many times by long pressing the Volume Up and Down button, No luck- Connected to the MacBook, BB Lynk asked for the device password 1/10 attempts and nothng happens after entering the password. It just sits there. Disconnected the phone and tried the same process almost 20 times with no luck.- On my MacBook, connected the device and BB Blent was showing all the files and contents on my device, it allowed me to copy all the files. This is a security loop hole in BB. Even if the device is secured and connected, one can copy the data. Doesnt this sound horrible for a business phone?- After several attempts to connect to BB Link I have got the reload option enabled before entering the device password on my MacBook. Doesnt this sound weired? I then clicked on reload and got a confirmation Yes/No. I clicked on No and then it asked for the device password. Entered the password and it accepted. So basically, I fooled the BB reload option/system. Overall, BB is not up to the mark when it comes to security. What could have happened? A. The file associated for the BB System password become inaccessable due to the lock on the file. I want the BB developers to look in to this matter seriously and strengthen the BB system to built confidence for the business users. I am sending an alert to all the BB users in y organization to be careful and try to stay away from BB since data is everything what we deal with and its all classified. You can't log on and it wants to change the password , yet nothing works .
This is the non gui version. About to format it and install the GUI version to see if it doesn't have this bug.

I downloaded from MS on Friday.
It refuses to let me set a password or log on. Tomorrow I will blow it off and try the gui version to see if it's any better.

How to disable the Device Password on the Q10

I accidently enabled the Device Manager program on my Q10 and now I have to enter my device password every time I use the phone. The Device Password program is located within the Security and Privacy area but I am unable to turn off the program. Does anyone have any ideas on how to disable this Device Manager?

Thank you for responding to my question. Starting at Settings then select Security and Privacy then slect Device Password and arrive at Device Password screen. At the top of the screen is a slider button to turn on or off the Device Password. The slider is turned on but will not allow me to slide to off. Under the slider are the words" IT policy requires device passwod to be set. Any ideas on how to move the slider to off?
