Mavericks was fine for a while but now it will not start up, any ideas please?
I get a white screen with apple logo, revolving disc and bar. once the bar reaches the end the MacPro switches off. ican do a safe start, the HD appears to be OK so I have tried to re install Mavericks but I get as far as selecting disk , the alternatives are HD and startup but both are locked. There is anEPI disk but that needs journaling via Utilities which does not seem to work. Where am I going wrong? Has anyone else had this problem?
I upgraded from Snow Leopard.

TAThank you I have just tried this and after the attempted repair, I got an error and alert message that Live file system repair is not supported. Tried to repair the HD, volume was repaired, it stopped at Boot with the message: disk Utility can't repair this disk back up files, reformat disk and restore files. I guess this my answer.

How would I setup the catalogues so I can edit the same picture(s) from the two machines? For example, I have a PC in my office upstairs, but sometimes I want to work on my Mac in basement? would I store the photos and catalogues on an external drive and point to that from both machines? Neither machine is portable.

Serial Number Not Valid- new Windows 7pro workstation / fresh install of Creative Suite 5 Design Premium Win from download will not accept license key to install. This serial number is not valid for this product is the only response being returned. What am I missing?
The key is for Creative Suite 5 Design Premium the download is DesignPremium_CS5_5_LS1 and all associated files in the group.

Hi Dmirtiyter, I suspect that you have a windows computer and seems you have a 32 bit system and that's the only reason you are not getting a download option for Premiere Pro as its a 64 bit Program.

I am using Aperture 3 and I have just exported the edited picture to my desktop but the image which is now on my desktop appears to be unedited. Does anyone know why??
Did you export the master or version? Master will be unedited...
