Installed to vol1 not sys - how to uninstall?

I installed Zenworks for Desktops 6.5 to vol1 volume instead of sys
volume. When I try to update it to sp2, I can't as it can't find ZFD.
I'm assuming that is because it was installed to vol1. So I found the
document on how to uninstall ZW 6.5 from a server and followed the steps
and restarted the server. When I try to reinstall ZFD6.5 it still won't
let me change the vol1 volume to sys volume.
Help please.

probably there are still some registry keys on the server left..
but it shouldn't matter where you have installed zdm.. it is even good
practice to install NOT to sys..

  • Safari 8.0.1 listed as installed, but was not. How do I try   to update this again?

I have a 24-inch iMac (mid-2007). Its operating system is 10.10.1.  I unsuccessfully tried to install the recent Safari 8.0.1 update, yet it shows as having been downloaded and installed on Dec. 3.
How can I try to install this update once again?  (I see no option for this action.)
    Thanks.

I also have an iMac 2007 and the Safari update was never proposed to me.
I even perform a clean install of Yosemite and still no update for Safari. Still in version 8.0

  • How to uninstall files on Mac OS X?

I have downloaded some files and search engines which are not good enough for me. I want to uninstall these softwares and I am bit confused how to get on with it.
Can somebody help me? Thanks in advance.

Rule of Thumb: Never install software unless you know how to uninstall it.
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper 2.0.1
        2. AppDelete 3.2.6
        3. Automaton 1.50
        4. Hazel
        5. AppCleaner 2.1.0
        6. CleanApp
        7. iTrash 1.8.2
        8. Amnesia
        9. Uninstaller 1.15.1

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • How to Uninstall Yosemite?  System does not allow Erase the HD, nor does it allow re-install of original O/S Disc (10.6.7).  I want Mavericks or even Lion Back.   Thanks.

How to Uninstall Yosemite?  System does not allow Erase the HD, nor does it allow re-install of original O/S Disc (10.6.7).  I want Mavericks or even Lion Back.   Thanks.

    Start with reinstalling Snow Leopard:
    Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Be sure to make a backup first because the following procedure will erase
the drive and everything on it.
         1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
with your computer.  Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
After the chime press and hold down the  "C" key.  Release the key when you see
a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
         2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
size.)  Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.  Set the number of
partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
(Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
         3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed
with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
         4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
Assistant. After you finish Setup Assistant will complete the installation after which
you will be running a fresh install of OS X.  You can now begin the update process
by opening Software Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your
             installation current.
    Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 Access the App Store to download Mountain Lion or Yosemite. Mavericks is no longer available since the release of Yosemite. If you purchased Mountain Lion from the App Store, then you can redownload it via your Purchases page in App Store. If not, then you will need to purchase it from Apple;
Purchase a redemption code at the Online Apple Store: OS X Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. Use the code to redeem a download of Mountain Lion from the App Store. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

I can not create an Installer on LabView, After install the Vision Builder Demo and then uninstall it. I can not create a Labview installer anymore, it asks me for a Vision Builder Installer, even if My Labview program does not have nothing to do with it...
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hi Shada this can happen if you are including additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you are doing this the installer has to include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder it updated MAX, so when your installer is trying to Include MAX, its asking for the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.
Here you can cache the information so its not asked again, or you can download a newer version fo DAQmx, so it will update MAX and change de dependecy.

  • How To Uninstall Background Apps Installed With CC

    Hello,
I attempted to install the PhotoshopCC onto a Windows OS7 computer - which went drastically wrong. I performed an uninstall - yet that left a background app that now runs even though I have no Adobe applications running.
How do you uninstall the background application and all other components installed with the PhotoshopCC installation?
I have been on hold for chat support multiple times for multiple hours - never getting a chat representative.
I have called the support number multiple times and put on hold for hours - never getting a support rep.
I do not want to pay $39 for a call-back to simply to find out how to uninstall this background application.
I have searched the Adobe Support Forum for answers, and found that other people have similar issue, yet unable to find answers.
I have been using numerous Adobe products for over 15 years through my work. Never experienced this amount of problems in product and support prior to this situation.

click start>control panel>programs>uninstall programs and uninstall all adobe cc programs.
    then run the cleaner, http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
    restart your computer

  • How to uninstall applications I installed from Application store?

Can anybody show me how to uninstall applications I installed from Application store?
I mean I want to remove the applications completely from my iphone, not just hide the icons.

    Page 127 of the manual:
"You can delete applications you’ve installed from the App Store. If you delete an
application, data associated with the application will no longer be available to iPhone,
even if you reinstall the application.
You can reinstall any application and any associated data from your iTunes library
as long as you backed up the application by syncing to your computer. If you try to
delete an application that hasn’t been backed up to your computer, an alert appears.
    Delete an App Store application:
1 Touch and hold any application icon on the Home screen until the icons start to
    wiggle.
2 Tap the “x” in the corner of the application you want to delete.
3 Tap Delete, then press the Home button to save your arrangement."

  • How to Uninstall FB 4.5 to Install FB 4.6?

    Hi,
I would really like to use the features in Flash Builder 4.6, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to uninstall Flash Builder 4.5 so that I can then install 4.6!
Adobe's instructions found here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/921/cpsid_92180.html   just tell you to remove the old and install the new.
However, all of my versions of FB 4.5 were installed as part of Adobe Master Collection CS 5.5.
There is no option anywhere I can find to uninstall just the FB 4.5 component of CS 5.5!
I posted this question on Adobe's Flash Builder Facebook page, on their announcement thread, but received no reply.
When 4.5.1 was released in June which allowed us to output to iOS and Blackberry,  it was included as part of the Adobe Updates process.
However,  according to the Flash Builder Facebook post,  this release (4.6) will not be provided that way.  Instead you are told to manually uninstall 4.5 and then install 4.6.
Which would be great if there was a way to uninstall just that portion of the adobe suite!
    I'm on a merry-go-round!  :-)
Has anyone done this, know how to remove a single software tool from the Master Collection suite?
    Thanks!

    Hi Shannon,
I'm having the exact same problem and I cannot believe your question hasn't been answered yet!
Also, I expected a lot more people to have this same problem.
I encountered an entry on the stackoverflow website, was that you?
    Quote:
" I've flashbuilder 4.6 and I need to uninstall it. It appears to be missing the installation package, and as such it doesn't appear in the control panel->uninstall list for windows 7.  I have filed a case with adobe for help (as its a paid product), but after month & 1/2 no answer. So any suggestions on how to get rid of it including any links it will have to the registry or similar. It must be a clean uninstall as to install the newer version the current one must be removed and the newer version installation knows that I have it (previous version) installed already.
I have tried the uninstall tool called Revo as well without success.
    Cheers."
This person answered his/her own question:
    Quote:
"What I needed to do was to find the exact version of the software I used to install it originally. Then once I ran the installer, (for the already installed software) windows picked up the installation packager and I could uninstall it.
Once removed I could then install the newer version of the same software."
I hope this was you and you have found your answer already, but I will try this one and see if it works for me too.  I'm not sure yet
Help from Adobe on this will be greatly appreciated!!!
    Thanks for your post!
