Installed ios7.1.1. Now Favorites screen gone; cannot create new favorites. What will activate favorites capability?

Try clearing Safari, then close it completely and reset your iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
In order to close Safari, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

HT1338 when I try to Install Updates I get an error massage. Can anyone help?

When I try to install updates I get an error message " an unexpected error has occured" This involves: Epson Printer Software update 2.11; iTunes 10.6.3; Airport Utility 5.6.1; Remote Desktop Client Update andd Java for Mac OSX 10.6 Update 9. I also have purchased OS X Mountain Lion and have the same problem. Any suggestions?

IOS7 phone freezes, home screen freezes, can't delete voicemail

Ever since updating to I0S7, my home screen freezes with some incomming calls and won't let me swipe to answer, i can't delete old voicemails easily, the phone features are all jacked up!!
Please fix these terrible bugs Apple!

After install update 10.1.1 in FCPX, I can NOT open the software... please help!!

FCPX 10.1 works fine, but now with the updating does not open... other softwares such as Motion and Compressor works fine.

Can't install update, uninstall iTunes, all to do with can't locate iTunes64.msi

Everything I have tried ends with can't find iTunes64.msi - I can't update my version of iTunes (11.1.0.126), uninstall my current iTunes per help info on Support, Install a new version because it can't uninstall old version because it can't find iTunes64.msi. I have located it in two places. First, the place the installer tells me that it can't fined it. Second, another place, but when I put that location in the "browse" field the installer tells me it still can't locate it. and finally, the file itself appears in the search field but I get the same response from the installer, It can't locate the file. Any Help Please!!!

My webservices are local to my network.
I do not use proxy. Not using UDDI.
I enter my WSDL URL but error message is returned

Ensure that you can ping the web services server.
Then check whether there is a valid/appropriate acl for the apex_040100 user;
select * from dba_network_acl_privileges where principal like 'APEX%';
Refer to Enable Network Services in Oracle Database 11g in the install manual.

MacBook ran out of battery, and turned off, I then went to charge it and now can't install updates and goes to black screen with this sign on it

There is a More Information button which takes you to an Apple help page but that doesn't help

Installed/Updates completed...can't launch!!

I have paid. I have downloaded Adobe CC. I have installed/updated Photoshop/Lightroom...and I can't launch them! It continually takes me to the "download" screen over and over again. Why can't I launch these apps and get started?
System information: Windows OS (with stupid app screen at Start). I can send screenshots if need be. Photoshop and Lightroom appear to be Installed/Updated (green checks appear in the Adobe CC), but the only option I am given is "View Tutorial". Someone please help?

You can do a manual install of the camera raw 8.3 plugin into pse 12, which is not too difficult, if you follow the steps below.
Download this file which contains the 8.3 camera raw plugin

Extract (unzip) the Camera Raw_83_GM_32bit.zip
Right click on the Camera Raw 8bi plugin and select Copy
Go to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 12\File Formats (vista 32 bit system)
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 12\File Formats (vista 64 bit system)
delete the old camera raw plugin that is already there and then right click and select Paste to put the new plugin in that folder.
Then download and install the 8.3 dng converter to install the required camera profiles

Hopefully now you are able to open your Nikon D5300 files into pse 12

Try hitting the power button on the server - that may do a shutdown rather than a hard reset. Otherwise you don't have much choice to do a hard reset or wait longer...
When it (hopefully) comes up try a normal boot and check the server operation, event log and windows updates status to see which one didn't install. Research it a bit to see if others had similar issues with the update and try again.

There is no permanent record of installed software other than what is contained in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. The receipts stored there provide all the information used by Software Update and Disk Utility regarding system software and updates installed.
Generally there's little need to know what's been installed because Software Update will scan the system to determine if any updates are needed. Otherwise it's your responsibility as the system administrator to maintain your own records.
