Installed ViewMarks in Firefox Dev edition but can't import the export from VeiwMarks in regular Firefox

When I try to export the ViewMarks bookmarks in the regular Windows version of Firefox I get a script error after a minute or so.
I tried copying the ViewMarks data from the old profile to the dev verion profile but that doesn't get picked up in ViewMarks for the dev browser.
Any ideas???

Maybe ViewMarks isn't compatible with 35.0a2?

Installing wireless router, router works fine but can't configure the modem

I'm configuring a wireless network for my parents, and I can't seem to get it set up right on my parents desktop with Windows XP SP2.
I bought a Linksys wireless router (WRT54GT) to set up a home network, and set that up quickly. It's not having any problems, but I can't set the modem into bridge mode. I'm connecting to DSL using a Westell Wirespeed modem (C90-36R516-01) that is pretty old, but I don't see why there is a problem. I went to the IP 192.168.1.1 in my browser while connected to only the modem to configure it, but the server always times out. When I plug in the router, it goes easily to the Linksys' configuration panel.
The only thing I can think of it that I configured the router before switching to bridge mode.
I tried getting around this problem by configuring the router to dial Verizon automatically using PPoE, but I don't know if it's actually working correctly, and it still asks me to dial up when I start Firefox. Other computers on the network see the router, but don't connect to the internet.

One thing you should do is get rid of that Westell modem from verizon. Its junk. I replaced it with a DLink DSL modem and internet is faster. Not that this suggestion solves your problem.

Normally if something does not appear in the download options it means the machine does not meet the tech specs for the product. In this case, Vista is not in the tech specs for Acrobat Pro XI if that is what you are trying to install. For whatever reason it skips from XP to Windows 7.

But i try to logon to the portal at localhost:8082/portal/login i keep getting the ERROR "we are experiencing technical difficulties. please try again later". and i see the following in the log files :

Based off of your description there are two things that could be wrong here.
According to your logs you have a credential issue which is something that I am not sure how you decided to set up. I imagine that you followed these steps when dealing with credentials:
1. Created an encrypted credential using the com.sybase365.mobiliser.vanilla.cli-tools-5.1.3.PL01-CLIPasswordEncoderClient.jar in the {Mobiliser_HOME}/tools directory and placed it in the proper location within the MOB_CUSTOMERS_CREDENTIALS table in your database.
2. Created and encrypted preferences password based off of the plain password chosen in step 1, and placed encrypted value within the MOB_PREFERENCES table in your database
3. The preferences key that you used in step 2 is the same key that is specified in tthe context.xml file that is located in the WEB UI installation directory.
If you have done all of these things it is also possible that you may be attempting to log into the wrong portal.
There are two different portals; 1 for consumers and 1 for administrative users. If you attempt to log into the consumers portal with an administrative account you will get a login error, and vice versa.
My assumption is that you are following the standard deployment diagram that is specified in the installation guide.
If there is any confusion on the things that I asked you to check let me know and I will attempt to be a bit clearer, but based off of the information that you have provided these are things I would check first.

Can the video from an AVCHD Disc be imported into FCP 7 for re-editing if you have a normal Superdrive burner?
The reason I ask is because last night our film-making club gave a show of short videos to some guests.
At the end it was decided to put them all on one DVD to send to the visitors as a memento.
However, some of the films were on AVCHD discs and I queried whether they could be copied, even in standard definition.
The "copier" said it was no problem as he had a PC and had done it before . . . . . cheeky devil!
So can it be done . . . . . on a PC or a Mac . . . . with a standard burner?
I have just tried but nothing in the BDMV folder can be imported.

GOT IT!
Copy the BDMV folder from the AVCHD disc to the desktop.
Use HandBrake to convert the .m2ts files to H.264
Then convert the H.264 files to an editable format.
Rather convoluted process but it works.
Anyone know a better method?

How can I import the files from a SDXC card to my iMac?

When I connect my camcorder to my iMac, the iMac can't read the SDXC card (SanDisk SDXC Ultra 64Gb, 15MB/s).
The camcorder itself, ofcourse, supports the card.
Is anyone familiar with this problem?

First, copy the card to a hard drive connected to your fcp workstation. I always back up all card based media at least 2 or three times. All hard drive will eventually fail. It's a question of when, not if.
I'm not familiar with this particular camera, but examine the contents of the copied files and see if you can find any .mov files. You can try importing these directly into fcp.

But, I'd really advise upgrading to at least fcp6 or ideally fcp7 if you can find a copy. HDV is a problematic format. Although you can certainly work with it and it's a fcp approved format, converting your media to prores would make your life much easier.

Are you trying to get photos into an iPhoto certain version, Photoshop certain version, just the Finder of a certain version, or specific operating system on your Mac? We need more details. Is the DVD a standard DVD, such as is indicated on http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2446 or something non-standard?

You are going to need both serial numbers if you want to install Lightroom 5, because it is an upgrade and bolts serial numbers are required. If you registered Lightroom 5 with Adobe when you first installed it then you can find your serial number on your Adobe account.

I just "successfully" added my old PC to itunes match in order to listen to my old library on my mac, but itunes won't associate my music to anything : when I go to itunes match in itunes, all I can do is pay... And I'm already paying, and itunes just told me that this was the second computer (out of 5) that I had added...
So I don't know what to do...
I tried to close itunes and open it again, tryed to activate itunes match again, but nothing works...
I also restarted the computer... Still won't work...

You need to transfer your iTunes Library from the old computer to the new one - then you can carry on syncing as normal. You can't move non-purchased music from an iPod to iTunes using iTunes. For purchased music, choose iTunes > File > Transfer purchases...

the only thing this cam has going for it is the 3CCD, converting the already compressed mpeg2 video to the DV format for iMovie will result in an additional lost in quality an will be time comsuming (not to mention the extra app(s) neede for the conversion.

Here's what I'd do. I'd purchase a solid mini DV cam with all the bells and whistles and wait for the dusk to clear on the all new/problematic formats. In the process saving $400 - $500.
Don't become all hyped up with the marketing crap for these new cams. Sony Vegas 7 is the only app I know of that just recently updated to handle the AVCHD format. And until comsumers start burning HD DVDs whats the point. A good mini DV cam will still be viable a couple of years down the road and todays new cams will be cheaper and better.
Here's a sweet cam that will allow you to take videos and edit them in no time.

It depends on eaxactly what is wrong with the old laptop. If you're lucky the drive can be extracted and connected to a new computer to extract the data. Otherwise see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
