Exit Code 7 - PS CS5 Trial - Win7 64 bit

Have downloaded the PS CS5 trial and attempted to install as a trial - leaving CS4 in place. Install started okay and then I came back to find a BSOD. Restarted PC, checked drive - all reported okay. Have 150Gb capacity on C drive with i7 950, 12Gb RAM and ATI Radeon HD4850 video card (latest driver).
Tried to unistall via Programs & Features which reported not everything removed. Downloaded WInCS5 cleaner and that fails to run when I try it. I have tried to delete what CS5 files / folders I can see and have run ccCleaner on the registry. Rebooted and an attempted re-install fails with the same message. I have downloaded the files again to no avail.
The following line"OS requirement not met for {667C8B6C-3EAF-4646-A8EC-D85CCC4D3D84} seems strange when viewed with the machine spec above.
Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this deadlock?

As I said in PM, many thanks for this installation / clean up. What confuses me is why I needed permissions changed as I am the only user and have admin rights under my user name? Other programmes I download run and install without issue.
It would be good to see a write up of how to manually delete programme remnants that may get left behind. For example, the installation folder on my desktop for CS5 - is that need any longer? Or can I reclaim the space?
I look forward to trying CS5 over the next days.

LR4.1 installer exits on Win7 64-bit

Is the Lightroom 4.1 installer (Windows 64-bit) working for anyone else? It tells me it's extracting the .msi file and the progress bar gets about 90% of the way full, but then the installer just exits with no error message. I have tried directly launching setup64.exe and running it as an administrator, no good. I have plenty of free disk space - but even if it were a full disk, I'd at least expect to get some kind of error message.
Not sure if it's a bad installer or just something messed up on my system.

I had this exact same problem when LR 4.0 came out. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with my Windows profile or anti-virus software. Here is a link to the thread that contains a work around that worked for me for LR 4.0 and again for LR 4.1.

Here is a little more detail on how to make the install work:
Download and extract the LR 4.1 files
2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to your AppData\Local\Temp folder. This is the full path for mine C:\Users\hbouk\AppData\Local\Temp
3. Open a second copy of Windows Explorer and create a temporary folder. I created a temporary folder on my desktop called Temp
4. In the first Windows Explorer window sort the view by Data modified then scroll down until you see the list of other folders
5. In the folder that contains the LR installer launch the Install Lightroom 4.exe installer. For me it was located on my desktop in a folder called Adobe and then in the sub folder Photoshop Lightroom 4.1
6. Watch in your Windows Explorer window that has your temp files. You will see a new folder that looks something like {548B6D36-E033-4495-A065-9BF820FDB78A}
7. As soon as you see this folder copy it to the new temp location you created. Make sure to either right click and choose copy or hold down the CTRL key and drag the folder to your new temp Explorer window.
8. Go into the {548B6D36-E033-4495-A065-9BF820FDB78A} folder and see if you were able to copy the Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi file. Mine was 373,835 KB in size.
9. The copy will have successfully copied all other files except the Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi file. You may have to repeat steps 5 to 7 above but this time as soon as you see the temporary folder {548B6D36-E033-4495-A065-9BF820FDB78A} (or similar) double click to go into the folder, quickly find the Adobe_Lightroom_x64,msi file and copy it to your new temp folder.
10. Once you have the Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi file and have verified that it is 373,835 KB in size you can launch this program. This will install the LR 4.1 update.
I have attached some screen shots that go along with the steps above.
Good luck. I hope Adobe gets this fixed before LR 4.2 comes out.

ORACLE 11G INSTALLATION PROBLEM ON WIN7 32 bit

okay i intalled the 11g edition but quite unsuccesfully . This is the view of start menu entry
start->allprograms->oracle 11g express edition->empty

i have the folder named oracleexe and app folder inside it . so this is what i should get as installed folders i guess !!Yes, that's what you can expect after a successful installation. Take a look in the direct ".\oracle\product\11.2.0\server" below the "app" directory. Do you see some url-link files there? (Despite several other subdirectories, of course...)
Two of them should be the "Database_homepage" and "Get_Started". Try to call them.
And Oracle XE service is started . Well, that's great. Sounds like all you lack is the links in you task menu.
i couldn't quite get you here . which software/ programs are you referring to ? The start menu entry created is shown already as it is in the problem above and installation folders are there as i mentioned above . what else ,you refferring to ?I just wanted to check whether the installer has registered the database in the Windows list. This is part of a successful installation and would offer you the opporunity to uninstall (and perhaps reinstall) the whole package.
Also , i am not sure which lOG file to check there because there are a lot of them !!As your database seems to be running as noted above, it doesn't seem to be necessary to go into these details.
You should be able to access your database, either by using the links mentioned above, or, if these failed to be created, by calling the URLs by hand, e.g.
http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/f?p=4950 for "Get_Started" and
http://127.0.0.1:8080/htmldb for the "Database_homepage".
You should also be able to use the command line tool by calling sqlplus from a command window.
If that doesn't satisfy you or you face any errors, you could try to reinstall.

Problems installing plug-ins to Photoshop CS5 Extended on a new Win7 64-bit laptop. (Same CS5 and plug-ins installed OK several years ago on a Vista laptop. Now I'm just trying to migrate everything over to the new laptop.) Even some Adobe updates won't install. Instead, a message box pops up on the CS5 screen saying "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." Any solution?

CS5's automatic update mechanism is broken, perhaps because it is no longer updated and can't cope with the newer ways of updating.
So this means you will have make a list of the updates that failed, go here: Product updates
and manually download/install from there.

Satellite Pro C650 - missing Hotkey Utility after Win7 64-bit installation

I've just installed Win7 64 bit on a C650 laptop but I don't see the Hotkey utilities for wireless on/off or touchpad (Fn F8 &F9) on the Toshiba list of drivers.
Do these utlilies exist? Where would I get them from?

J'ai utilisé le adobe cs5 install cleaner (ou un truc du genre), installé en admin, virer tous les produits adobe avant d'installer cs...rien à faire.
Seulement:

Je suis allé faire un tour dans les dossier, et...la taille de "Assets1_1.zip" est 0ko... Je l'ai téléchargé deux fois depuis http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STAM/CS5_5/win32/MasterCollecti on_CS5_5_LS4.7z et une fois depuis le adobe downloader (qui, se dit en passant, est une vrai crasse...) et c'est toujours exactement le même problème.
Les fichiers seraient-ils corrompus chez adobe?
Autre question: En téléchargeant la version LS1 (anglais), serait-il possible de récupérer les fichiers "Assets1_1.zip"de la LS1 et de les réinjecter dans la LS4 (donc, sont-ils les mêmes???)?
De plus, étant donné qu'adobe ne propose ni un lien de téléchargement direct sur leur site, ni la checksum des composant, il est strictement impossible de savoir si la corruption a eu lieu lors du téléchargement (mais j'ai un doute, vu qu'en téléchargeant deux fois le même fichier, j'ai les mêmes erreurs, et la même checksum, j'en déduit que le problème ne vient ni de moi, ni de ma connection, mais d'adobe)...
Compliquer l'installation d'une version d'essai, c'est pas très bon pour la réputation du logiciel, sinon de l'entreprise si vous voyez ce que je veux dire...

How to safely remove 32-bit Photoshop CS4 from Win7 64-bit?

I have installed Master Collection CS4 on my ThinkPad running Win7 64-bit. The installer installed both the 32-bit and 64-bit Photoshop CS4 which is wasting the hard disk space. There seems to be no way to install only the 64-bit PS from the installer. Nor can I find a way to uninstall only the 32-bit PS using the MC uninstaller.
Can anyone help please.

I think Adobe were being cautious with their first ever 64-bit version of PS and wanted a built-in fallback position, to avoid too much trouble.
Hard disk space is cheap – even on a laptop.
Maybe CS5 will give the choice.

Installing CS6 Design&Web Premium on a Win7-64 bit PC. Which PS do I install?

I have a PC running Win7-64 bit - sp1. I'm installing CS6 Design&Web from a product CD. When I get to the installer's "select the products to install" checkboxes screen I see there are two checkboxes for Photoshop. One for PS-64 bit another for just PS. On my Win7-64 bit PC do I need to install both or just the 64-bit choice?

Install CS4 from disk on Win7 64-bit

I'm trying to find help on installing Photoshop CS4 on a Win7 64-bit computer. The DVD appears to have the 32-bit version and I've tried having Windows install it as Vista as well as WinXP, but it doesn't work. It just provides an error and tells me to contact support. I'm guessing this is under the CC area, but I can't find a DVD area!

'Source play' and 'audio-video sync' problems with PE8 on fast WIN7 64 bit computer

I am transferring Hi8 videos, about 2 hours long, to my WIN7 64 bit computer with PE8. [Dell Mobile Precision M4400 Computer Workstation (Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 500GB/4GB); NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, 512MB] I seem to have several problems:
First, after importing the file (.avi), I get a message about ‘dropped frames.’
Secondly, when I try to play the video in the source monitor, the audio plays but the video doesn’t; it only shows the first frame [this is after waiting until the video is ?recognized? ] I can use the shift-arrow key and see that the video is there.
Thirdly, I can play the .avi file in other players, e.g., avidemux or PE pro CS5 on another computer. There, I see that the audio and video are not in sync; the audio can be up to 300 ms ahead of the video (as determined using avidemux).
Questions:
1. Why doesn’t the source monitor play the video? Is this a problem with PE8 (latest update as of 3 March 2011) on aWIN7 64 bit computer (intel duo core. 3 GHz).
2. Is the audio-video sync problem the result of the ‘dropped frames?’ How can PE8 correct this? Avoid this? Or, is it coincidence?

"Go to the File menu and select Properties. It should show a standard DV codec being used for your video and audio."
WMP v12 is dumb. Under properties, media, it says 'video.' However, avidemux gave me the information state above: video -- Codec 4CC: dvsd, frame rate: 29.971 fps; audio -- codec: PCM, channels: Stereo, frequency: 48 kHz.
So, back to the Questions:

Urgent help needed related to boot camp and Win7 32 bit

I have installed boot camp and Win7 32 bit on my iMac (2010) but I can't start from my mac os even by holding the option key. Windows doesn't recognize my wireless mouse either, but for now going back to the mac os is the priority. Can anyone help please?

Hold the Option (Alt) key after hearing the startup chime and until you see all bootable partitions in the screen. Do you see the OS X partition? If so, select it to start up in OS X. If you want to start up in OS X by default, open System Preferences > Startup Disk, and select your OS X partition.
Respecting to your wireless mouse, you have to install the Windows support software. To download it, you can use Windows or OS X, from this site > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1630 If you are in Windows, decompress the file and run the installer. Installing Indesign CS2 on WIN7 64-Bit

i tried to install InDesign CS2 Upgrade from the original CD-Rom on a new PC with WIN7 64-bit.
To activate the installation I used the serial number from the version 1.0 IGP100R7012137-635 from the original register card from InDesign 1.0.
This combination was used since any years on my old XP-PC and now I want to use it on the new system.
What happened: InDesign CS2 said during the installation process: this serial no. IGP100R7012137-635 is not an InDesing serial no.
I contacted Adobe via chat and they said, I need an InDesign CS2 version without need for activation, because Adobe killed the server for this function because of technical reasons.
My question: from where can I get these InDesign CS2 version without need for activation?
The serial number from my CS2 InDesign is: Deleted by moderator.
Who can help or knows an easier solution?

NEVER post a serial number on a public forum and be aware that CS2 is totally unsupported on Windows 7 and will be even worse on a 64 bit system. Heed the warning on that page:
Adobe does not support CS2 applications, which were released more than seven years ago. Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software.

I cannot get this config to work under any circumstance ....tried every conceivable driver (Auzen, Dan K's, CL) ... all it does is install the driver, then blue screen after the driver installs?with?a ?'the device cannot locate any free resources - Code 2" ...
This is an error from a?pre-bus mastering PCI era?e.g. 998.
I?trapped the minidump exception from the BS and looked at it in WinDbg ... faulting module was?a CL .sys file.
XP works fine, as does a CL ExtremeAudio (non X-Fi) card with Win7 64-bit and 8GB.
So apparantly the hardware is useless as creative cannot write a driver ....

I have a similar config to you, except I have the Fatalty version of the X-Fi with the front bay. I get page faults caused by the Creative driver

There is not a beta version yet, but there are development versions. If you install a development version (known as Nightly) you will typically get an update every day. Development versions can be unstable, for example since 25th April up to yesterday when a particular bug was fixed the 64 bit development versions were crashing on startup for quite a few people.
If you still want to test a development version, you can get the installer for the latest version (firefox-6.0a1.en-US.win64-x86_64.installer.exe) from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/
