Installer failed to initialize in win 8.1

I am trying to install my Dreamweaver CS5, and I get the "Installer failed to initialize" error message.
I followed the link for analysis of the installer, but could not open the .mlf file. 
I contacted Adobe support and they gave me a link to download the software, but I still get the same error message.
I am using win 8.1

Please share the PDApp.log from your computer. This will help us analysis the problem and provide you the fix.
Location of PDApp.log is TEMP folder on your computer.
NOTE : Please don't paste the log here rather paste it on pastebin.com website

    I download/install the support advisor which detects: no problems. argh!!
    What now???

    So is the .zip file is extracting without error?
    Have you tried rebooting yet?
    What about turning off virus scan? or other potential conflicting software?

    Problem:  “Installer failed to initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem”
    Background:  Windows 8 became corrupt and I had to perform a full Windows Recovery (the “Remove everything and reinstall Windows” type).
    Current Situation:  I am a Senior in College, have Summer finals this week, my Senior project due, I am behind on my job design work, and I am going crazy because I can’t find anything/anyone to help me.
    Set Up:  Lenovo Y410P, Windows 8.1, CS 5.5 Design Standard Student-Teacher Edition (Yes, I have the media and product code/license key, as I purchased a valid copy in my university student store).
    Here’s what I have done over and over again for the last SIX WEEKS!
    1. Attempts to install from the original install DVD result in the following error, “Installer failed to initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem”
    2. [I click] Get “Adobe Support Advisor”
    3. [I see mssg] The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued.. The tool has been replaced with [unnamed/unlinked] improved installation support mechanisms…
    4. [I Run] “AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool” (see results below)
    Note:  I cannot run Windows Uninstall because, following Windows Restore, Windows doesn’t recognize that CS5.5 has been installed.  I do still see the following folders in Windows explorer, but Adobe Support says "don't attempt to manually remove folders";

    I use windows 7 SP2, I recently got error message saying "Missing Application manager". so i downloaded new application manager and when i try to start the setup it says "Installer failed to initialize". i tried using cc cleaner and uninstalled all my adobe applications but didn't work.     I see that the Creative Cloud app is corrupted .
    If you don't have any Adobe applications installed or if  it okay to perform complete removal and re installation.
    Follow below steps :
    Rename/delete Adobe folder from below locations :
    1) C:\Program Files>Adobe.
    2) C:\Program Files(x86)>Adobe.
    3) C:\Program Files>Common Files>Adobe.
    4) C:\Program Files(x86)>Common Files>Adobe.
    5) C:\Program Data>Adobe. (Hidden by default) [ Enable Hidden Files and Folder view]
    Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
    Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.
    appdata
    It will open Appdata folder.
    Open it ,you will get 3 folders .
    6) Local ,>Adobe
    7)Local Low>Adobe
    8) Roaming.>Adobe
    Each one will have Adobe inside remove/rename it.
    Make sure that you had removed ./renamed Adobe folder from all mentioned locations .
    Click on the below link and run Adobe Cleaner tool and select Clean all option.

  • CS5.5 Design Premium: installer failed to initialize

    Ok, I'm having this problem.  This started because I had to perform a system restore.  I ended having to go back so far with the system restore that all of my Adobe Products(among others) no longer appeared to be installed. 
    So I downloaded Adobe CS5.5 Design premium from a link mentioned elsewhere in the discussions.  Everything extracts fine, but when I execute the installer it always prompts "installer failed to initialize".  I have downloaded the Adobe support advisor.  It shows multiple:
    cpsid_82829s1: "A restart is pending," bootstrapper error has occurred.

    I have clicked the links(http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-error-messages-bootstrapper-cs5.html)  below and followed the instructions.  There is no "InProgress" Entry in the registry in the locations provided.   I have also ran the "Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool " Multiple times and have removed ALL.   I have deleted every directory on this computer that says Adobe.   
    This is a clients computer and we REALLY don't want to wipe and reload(Money/time and all that).  Can anyone help me with this error?

    System restore is a first resort for most people when there is a problem in Windows.  Obviously it wasn't a hit in this situation.  I know a wipe and reload would fix it.  If you read my post you'd see I'm trying to avoid that.  If you have any information that can help me there I would love to know it.

    I tried several times to install Photoshop Elements 11 on my new Macbook Pro (10.8.3) but the installer failed to initialize and the Support Advisor inspection could not identify any issue. I went today to the Apple Store to get help and the Genius guy couldn't resolve the problem either. He told me to contact Adobe Support and he gave me an Adobe token number.
