Installer for Linux machine

Hi ,
I have developed a Desktop applicaiton in java , this is my first application ,now i want to make an installer for that to install it on linux and test it there.
How to create setup for it???

Hello,
I used IzPack with success. I found out it was relatively easy to understand and implement, though it does not check automatically for JRE (you must have JRE to lauch the installer)

  • Is there a text-based FMS 3 installer for Linux?

Just downloaded FMS 3 for Linux. Per
(flashmediaserver_install.pdf) installer document, it implies that
you must run some kind of X Window (Gnome or KDE) to in order to
install the product. Is that true? If that is true, is there an
alternative, such as a text-based installer? Thanks.

No, there's isn't. You should install IIS 7 first, and then install 32-bit version OBIEE.

  • Not able to acess SOA consoles after SOA 10G installation on Linux machine

    Hi,
We have done SOA 10G installation on VM ware machine which was configured on a windows box. After installation we are able to access the BPEL/ESB/EM consoles directly from the server where the installation is done but not able to access the same from our local machine.
    Please advice.
    Thanks & Regards,

How do you try to access console? what url do you use?
From what components you want to check the ports asigned? Only Oc4j's, webcache, http_server and oid should show something here.
Did you check the file $OH/install/portlist.ini and opmn.xml, rmi.xml?

  • Where can I download an older AIR installation for linux?

I've tried every place that "says" they have a Debian package for AIR.  Even though the discontinued it, why isn't it archived on the website somewhere? Unless something about how the program operates
makes Linux exploitable..... THAT IS SPECULATION. I don't know if it is, but it makes me wonder why Adobe has left no trace of a way to install it that doesn't involve moving mountains

I think you'll have to mail MSI tech support for them to send it to you, since there's no where in the site you can find an old firmware for that drive.

  • Flash installer for Linux  .tar.gz

    Hi,
I've downloaded the file install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz from the flash download page. The instructions say:
Click the download link to begin installation. A dialog box will appear                       asking you where to save the file.
Save the .tar.gz file to your desktop and wait for the file to download                       completely.
Unpackage the file. A directory called install_flash_player_10_linux will be created.
In terminal, navigate to this directory and type ./flashplayer-installer                       to run the installer. Click Enter. The installer will instruct                       you to shut down your browser(s).
However the .tar.gz file only contains a file called libflashplayer.so, no flashplayer-installer script to run. Have I gotten the right file?
    Thanks in advance,

    Restarted Firefox?
    Flash-plugin enabled?
    Other websites with flash working?
What do you see on youtube?
    - black YouTube screen? or
    - no screen at al?
I also have flash not working at all, my guess is flash-plugin
compiled and linked with libraries older than mine.

  • OBIEE 11g upgrade wizard & installation on linux 64bit

    Hi,
Is it that on Linux 64 bit machine, i should install OBIEE 11g in "Software Only" mode, only then upgrade wizard works correctly, if i need to do "Software Only" should i be installing weblogic server independently? or at high level what are steps to be followed.
    Thanks,
    Sree

    Hi Sree,
What you are mentioning here is relevant for Windows 64 bits environment where you have to install the software only after installing web logic standalone.
The installer for Linux 64bit will install all the components for you except of course the RCU that you need to downlaod and install first.
Please refer to this link for more details about the installation
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/bi.1111/e10539/c4_installing.htm#CIHDJGIH
NB: Devlopement tools (Admin tool or catalog manager..) don't exisit for Linux, so you have to use windows for development
