Installer keeps popping up

As Administrator I did a full install of NI Developer Suite on a Windows 2000 machine. Now when logged on as an ordinary user, every time I start Internet Explorer, the installer for Flexmotion 5.1 pops up and then dies with an error: "Error 1706.No valid source could be found for product NI FlexMotion 5.1. The Windows Installer cannot continue." I click OK and it goes away, only to re-appear the next time I start IE. What is the best way to fix this?

In the win2k add/remove programs control panel, FlexMotion 5.1 appears separately from LabView. When I go into the LabView installer, FlexMotion 5.0 appears. It was installed, I uninstalled it. That did not fix the problem. Then I went into the FlexMotion 5.1 installer and tried to Repair it. That did not work either. Then I went into the FlexMotion 5.1 installer and tried remove it. It gave me a warning that some components are shared with LV and other NI software. If I chose to uninstall those components, I might break LV etc. I chose to leave the shared components installed. Now I still get the installer popping up for ordinary users whenever they run IE. Should I just go ahead and remove all of FlexMotion 5.1, despite the dire warnings?
BTW, this is a brand-
new machine with a clean, first-time installation of Developer Suite, using all the default install options. No errors appeared during the install. I was very careful. Why is it so messed up? I paid about 6 kilodollars for this software. This is very aggravating.

Adobe Flash Player installer keeps putting itself on the desktop and every once in a while when I try to open something esle, it pops up too (usually it's either another small drive, or it's over my network when it pops up).  It's already installed and I keep having to remove it from the finder.

Nevermind; I finally found it and put it in the trash (still tried popping up, but then hasn't appeared again since I sent it to the landfil - emptied trash)

• Adobe Flash Player Installer keeps popping up

Every few minutes a get a pop up of the Adobe Flash Player Installer asking me if I want to install the latest version.
I have already the latest version.
I have already uninstalled the Flash Player and reinstalled it. I have done this several times using the Windows Control Panel Uninstall Program. I have also used the Adobe uninstaller tool from the Adobe website.
I have already configured Adobre Flash Player to never update.
I have already googled for this, apparently not so uncommon, issue.
Running Windows 7 x64, Internet Explorer 10, Chrome
Thanks,

Hello Chris,
Sorry for the late reply. I only saw the first part of your message days ago. Perhaps it has been edited since.
This problem keeps happening and it is truly a nightmare. I have tried other things including going to the Registry (which I have not altered).
In response to your question:
1. In Windows Task Manager I see
1.a:  InstallFlashPlayer.exe *32 Description: Adobe® Flash® Player Installer/Uninstaller 11.6 r602. Location: C:\Users\Antonio\AppData\Local\Temp\{513974BF-C40D-4C4D-9367-A59EECC45B2D} and
1.b: FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER64.exe *32 (Adobe® Flash® Player Installer/Uninstaller 11.6 r602)  C:\Users\Antonio\AppData\Local\Temp\ICD7.tmp
This second one, I did not see before. It has appeared after I reinstalled Flash Player at the request of Adobe Acrobat when converting to pdf an email that, apparently, contained Flash.
2. From Process Explorer
2.a. For InstallFlashPlayer.exe: Parent: FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER64.exe(5108)
Curent Directory: C:\Users\Antonio\AppData\Local\Temp\ICD7.tmp\
Command Line: "C:\Users\Antonio\AppData\Local\Temp\{513974BF-C40D-4C4D-9367-A59EECC45B2D}\InstallFlashP layer.exe" -iv 6
Path: C:\Users\Antonio\AppData\Local\Temp\{513974BF-C40D-4C4D-9367-A59EECC45B2D}\InstallFlashPl ayer.exe
2.b. For FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER64.exe: Parent: iexplore.exe(7292)
Current Directory: C:\Users\Antonio\AppData\Local\Temp\ICD7.tmp\
Command Line: C:\Users\Antonio\AppData\Local\Temp\ICD7.tmp\FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER64.exe
Path: C:\Users\Antonio\AppData\Local\Temp\ICD7.tmp\FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER64.exe
One clarification: The installer does not show up at regular intervals. Sometimes it shows up every few minutes and sometimes it takes longer to appear.
Thank you very much for your help

• Adobe Flash Player 10.1 installation keeps popping up

I keep getting a pop up message when I turn AOL on with an installation window to install Flash Player 10.1 but the the box install is not highlighted and I have to X out of it to remove the window.  This window keeps repeating itself.   I tried installing it when the first pop up appeared.  The box was high lighted then and the installation started but did not install.   I have checked the list of installed programs and it is not listed.  I tried to download the program but it starts installing and a message  saying remove any previous version. How can I remove this pop up and download the program?  Thanks.

• Blackberry Desktop Manager - Windows Installer keeps popping up

Recently upgraded from BB Desktop manager 5 to 7 and have been having nothing but issues.
One user constantly receives a "Windows Installer" pop-up looking to configure or reinstall Desktop 5.0.
This does not happen for any other user on this machine.
Windows XP Pro SP3
- Desktop Manger still appears in the Add/Remove programs list
- try to remove from the Add/Remove list and I receive "Option can only be peformed on installed products"
- installed the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility - does not even appear as an installed product in the WMI database
- I have performed a clean uninstall/reinstall
- reinstalled Desktop Manager 5, this only created a 2nd install point, the 1st one still exists.
- deleted the RIM folders from HKLM\Software
- deleted all RIM folders from the client profile (AppData/LocalData, etc...)
- uninstalled and reinstalled .net 3.5
Events generated everytime the client launches:

It sounds like someone may have installed the application for their user account only. You may need to remove it from either that account or from the administrator account.

• OSX Installer keeps popping up..?

Did a Safari update a couple weeks ago. Don't know if it's got anything to do with this or not. But this OSX Driver Installer pops up regularly now - (especially when I'm on Facebook...?) When I do the software update it says I'm current... Have I been infected?

It says OSX Driver Update Installer. I was just on Facebook, and it pops up again
There have been no 'driver updates' for our G5 iMac. This is potential malware disguised as as a download, something that is very commonly sourced from social networking sites like Facebook.
I would suggest you delete all cookies for Facebook, then restart Safari.

• I'm trying to install the new version, but each time during the installation, "Error writing to file: C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Apple/Mobile Device/Support/AppleMobileDeviceHelper.resources/Info.plist." Keeps popping up. What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to install the new version, but each time during the installation, "Error writing to file: C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Apple/Mobile Device/Support/AppleMobileDeviceHelper.resources/Info.plist." Keeps popping up. What am I doing wrong?

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

• Please help! My CS6 won't open and Adobe Application Manager keeps popping up to renew CS Cloud subscription.

Hi there.
I recently canceled my CS Cloud subscription about 3 weeks ago and went back to using CS6. I was using CS6 Creative Suite without a problem until 2 days ago. Now my CS6 programs (AI, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) won't open. Instead the Adobe Application Manager keeps popping up to renew the subscription, see below insert.
I have chatted with Adobe customer support numerous times but when it comes to transferring me to their technical support, the chat mysteriously becomes unavailable. The only time the transfer went through, I was advised to remove CS6 Creative Suite using Cleaner Tool and reinstall, which I did but my CS6 still does not open and the AAM keeps popping up giving me the same message to renew the subscription. The AI/Photohop icons just keep bouncing up and down without opening while the AAM pops up.
What can I do to stop this annoying AAM from popping up and open my CS6? I just want my CS6 to open up again. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Please help!

Question
I am trying to browse the web but this meesage keeps popping up everytime I enter the site I would like to go in/ 404 Not Found nginx edit

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash:
*the Plugin version for Firefox and most other browsers
*the ActiveX version only for IE (see: ActiveX)
*When updating, you need to update both
You do not have the Plugin version installed for Firefox. Look for "Shockwave Flash" in Tools > Add-ons > Plugins
#Install the Flash plugin to the latest version.
#*Download and SAVE to your Desktop so you can find the installer later
#*If you do not have the current version, click on the "Player Download Center" link on the "Download and information" or "Download Manual installers" below
#*After download is complete, exit Firefox
#*Click on the installer you just downloaded and install
#**Windows 7 and Vista: may need to right-click the installer and choose "Run as Administrator"
#*Start Firefox and check your version again or test the installation by going back to the download link below
#*Download and information: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
#**Use Firefox to go to the above site to update the Firefox plugin (will also install plugin for most other browsers; except IE)
#**Use IE to go to the above site to update the IE ActiveX
#*Download Manual installers.

• Adobe Master Collection CS5.5 Install Manager keeps popping up whenever an CS app is selected-HELP!

I have recently continued to have an "Error: 16" code when trying to load any of my Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection suite. Every time I try to use any of the applications within the Master collection and then the Adobe Application (installation software) keeps popping it up. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the entire suite at least 4 times now, and I also tried uninstalling the software and then reinstalling it after creating a new profile on my Mac. Any ideas or advice on how I can get back up and running would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can't get into the installation menu. The third CD does work correctly, i'm not sure about the second CD. Is it possible that the CD is broken? Like maybe there is one file missing or something I don't know.

• The bookmarks sidebar keeps popping in and out and I can't get it to stop. I have gone to "View" and tried to hide it but no luck. Any suggestions?

The bookmarks sidebar keeps popping in and out. This shifts the screen making it hard to read or write anything. I have gone to "View" but am unable to stop it. The firefox questions don't address this issue.

Did you check if there were extensions installed in that new profile?<br />
Some programs install extensions globally and appear automatically in a new profile.
Do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

• I accidentally downloaded a website for coupons and its toolbar keeps popping up? I want to completely get rid of it on my internet. How do I do this?

I accidentally downloaded a website for coupons and its toolbar keeps popping up at the top of my internet window. I went to the toolbar options and unchecked it but when I get back into the internet it is up again. I want it completely gone so that it doesn't even have a chance to be seen. I don't want it. How do I get rid of it?

I would start off with Firefox's Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then look for unwanted extensions and try the Remove button.
If the Remove button is missing, this usually means the extension was installed through the Windows installer. In that case, check for it in the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Clicking the "Installed on" column header will bring the most recent additions to the top for easier spotting.
After you get rid of it, assuming you can remove it in one of those two ways, I suggest "mopping up" with some malware removers. This article lists tools that other Firefox users have found helpful: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
Any luck?

• IPhone with IOS "Trust this computer" keeps popping up

I have upgraded to ios 7 on my iphone, but when I now connect my phone to my car (ipod connectivity) it pops up with the "Trust this computer" box! but disappears quickly and then keeps popping up and disappearing.  I don't even have time to click TRUST!!!!
After a couple of tries the car says there was an error and stops trying.  What the **** is going on!
If no one knows, maybe you can tell me how to downgrade/restore to ios 7 as without this connectivity I can't listen to my music in the car?

I finally fixed it!  Don't know really how but here goes what I did.
You all agreed that before IOS7, by simply plug usb cable between PC and iphone that was it?!
Updated to IOS7, liked it a little, noticed slowness, but was fairly acceptable. My problem started when I was not able to sync my outlook calendar, contacts, etc. to my phone then I freaked out, because kept having this "do you trust this computer again and again when I clicked Trust.... got me crazy.
Someone told me to use iCloud. Did, but I can check my Iphone contacts on a website! not what I was looking for. Then I downloaded ICloud for windows, so I can sync (another procedure) to my outlook. Ran it, restarted, found that my wlan card was disabled, fixed it, restarted (anxious), when back, checked some changes made in outlook, more folders and buttons, but it seemed to work.
I plugged the usb cable and iphone to my pc and Viola! they synchonized!! via usb cable!!
was it the cable? the icloud installation? the rebooting? don't really know, but it works now...
I was this close to return to IOS6 by doing all those creepy steps, but it is ok now...
Please let  know if it work for you guys!!
cheers!

• Things keep popping up

this keep popping up every time i am on my internet

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. This procedure works as of now, as far as I know. It may not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.
The VSearch malware tries to hide itself by varying the names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming pattern.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for two files with names of the form
              com.something.daemon.plist
and
               com.something.helper.plist
Here something is a variable string of characters, which can be different in each case. So far it has always been a string of letters without punctuation, such as "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," or "trusteddownloads." Sometimes it's a meaningless string such as "e8dec5ae7fc75c28" rather than a word. Sometimes the string is "apple," and then you must be especially careful not to delete the wrong files, because many built-in OS X files have similar names.
If you find these files, leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
/Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
              com.something.agent.plist
where the string something is the same as before.
If you feel confident that you've identified the above files, back up all data, then drag just those three files—nothing else—to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Close the Finder windows and restart the computer.
Don't delete the "LaunchAgents" or "LaunchDaemons" folder or anything else inside either one.
The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you never reinstall it. You can stop here if you like, or you can remove two remaining components for the sake of completeness.
Open this folder:
/Library/Application Support
If it has a subfolder named just
               something
where something is the same string you saw before, drag that subfolder to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Application Support" folder or anything else inside it.
Finally, in this folder:
/System/Library/Frameworks
there may an item named exactly
                v.framework
It's actually a folder, though it has a different icon than usual. This item always has the above name; it doesn't vary. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.
