Installer OS X Moutain Lion

Contrairement à ce qu'indique APPLE OS X Moutain Lion ne s'installe pas à partir de OS 10.6.8 sur un mac book air récent. APPLE ressemble de plus en plus à WIndows !

Where did you download OS X Mountain Lion? Note that you have to buy it at the Mac App Store.
If you get an error running the installer you downloaded at the Mac App Store, what does the error say?

Upgrading to Snow Leopard, Lion, or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.

The backup disk is not available.
    Any suggestions.

  • Imac came with moutain lion can i transfer this onto my macbook

    hi
i bought imac this year with moutain lion on the system, i also have a macbook pro with snow leopard and would like to put mountain lion on this also, now can i somehow get it from computer to macbook or do i have to download it in app store? theres nothing in my app purchases or anything like that if it cant be done than by all means let me know
    cheers

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
The copy that came with your iMac can only be used in this Mac, so you have to purchase Mountain Lion for the MacBook Pro.
First, check that your MacBook Pro is supported > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs Then, open the App Store and purchase OS X Mountain Lion. Make a backup of your data and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com

  • Since I upgraded to Moutain Lion I'm dealing with wifi problems : no connection or random connection

Since I upgraded to Moutain Lion I'm dealing with wifi problems : no connection or random connection. With  OS X Lion wifi was OK.

So, Darrall, it seems to be fixed.  Mind you, this has happened through a seemingly unrelated, but hopefully replicable sequence of events.  You be the judge.
I went to my other login account, which as it happens is also an admin account.  Voila, the secondary click worked fine.  So I returned to my primary account, where I did the following:
First, I unpaired the trackpad.  then I remembered I needed something to move the mouse with, so I re-paired the magic mouse I'd had before.  I thought I'd turned off the trackpad, but apparently not, so the computer re-paired it automatically. None of this had any immediate effect, as you'd imagine.
Then I went to Mission Control in Preferences. There, I deselected "Show dashboard as a space", and in the hotcorners, I deselected Mission Control from the bottom left, where it had been. I didn't replace it.
Now, my secondary click works. Uh huh. I was suspicious that it might have more to do with Mission Control and/or Dashboard than the trackpad, only because I'd beaten that horse till my arm hurt and this was all I could think of.
Never did I imagine this would get fixed short of creating a new login account and somehow copying everything - since I didn't know what was wrong, I could easily have copied the error too - so I'm very pleased and relieved.  If you haven't fixed yours yet, try this.  Let me know what happens!

  • I have a macbook pro 4,1 early 2008 model running on 10.6.8 snow leopard was wondering if upgrading to moutain lion will make my system run slow?

MBP 4,1 running 10.6.8 snowleopard and it runs great but i was wondering if upgrading to moutain lion will make run slower?

Lion is still available but you have to Call Apple to order it and then they send you a Redemtion Code to your Apple ID Email address that you use on the Mac App Store to download it.
But in all honesty even Lion is going to make your system run slower then it now does. Lion, like Mt Lion, uses more system resources then Snow Leopard. I can see the difference on my 2011 MBP with 8GBs of RAM and a fairly fast hard drive. Snow Leopard boots and runs faster then Lion and more so then Mt Lion.
What you need is a New or Newer MBP. If that is not an option then the only thing I can say is give Lion a try. That is AFTER you do a complete Time Machine Backup of your current Snow Leopard install just in case you need to go back.
By the way Apple replaced the Logic board in your system with the same Faulty NVidia chip install in it. Apple Never Updated the NVidia chip used on those logic boards. So odds are sometime in the future, Near or Far, that board will fail again.

  • HT201364 I am unable to download a purchased copy of lion or moutain lion

I am unable to download my copy of lion or moutain lion in order to upgrade my 2006 macbook!

What is exactly is the problem?
If you are signed into the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID that purchased them then they should be listed under the Purchases tab and be available for download unless they are already on the computer then it will say "Downloaded". In that case they will most likely be in your Applications folder. If not use Spotlight to find them.

  • Why does my Macbook Pro keep shutting down during installation of OSX Mountain Lion?

Why does my Macbook Pro keep shutting down during installation of OSX Mountain Lion?

    Hmm, good luck then!
I'm pretty much exactly on the opposite side of the planet, but I've been to Vermont and remember its rural beauty well. However, I can't imagine you having the only Internet connection within a reasonable radius (where "neighbors" hanging off the same ISP don't count). Uh, that note only if your wired connection to the router produces no good result, either...

  • Mountain Lion fails to install saying it cannot create the recovery; I had a similar problem with Lion and the Apple Store that helped me resolve it gave me an installable version of Mountain Lion on a flash drive for my inconvenience....

Mountain Lion fails to install saying it cannot create the recovery; I had a similar problem with Lion and the Apple Store that helped me resolve it gave me an installable version of Mountain Lion on a flash drive for my inconvenience....is there some trick I am missing or do I need to make an appointment with a genius...

I have the MacIntosh volume and the Boot Camp partition only.  I know that when I installed Lion, I had to go through a whole back-up and recovery of Windows and then re-format the drive.
The tech at the Apple Store had a previous life as a MSCE and was very helpful.  I believe he even said that I should not have htis problem with Mountain Lion which is why they gave me the flash with it onboard.  I was in the process of starting a new job when I went to Lion, so I have waited to do this next and probably last upgrade to this old MBP since I doubt Apple will support this MBP in Maverick.
I do not have another installation, so that is not an option.  I will try to create an external, I have plenty of hard drives around and see if I can get it done that way.  It might take me a week or two to get back to it, but I will comment back upon completion of that effort.  Thanks for your help....Dave Iverson
