Installer quits due to exit code 1 ... originally posted in displays

Hard to find anything on exit code 1, maybe some bus error. Tried to reinstall OS 10.2 from original DVD. Tried zapping PRAM, PMU, removing airport, resetting RAM, etc. Bought DiskWarrior (download) and ran it using target mode, fixed minor problems but overall good disk. Disk Utility same disk fine permissions fine. Back-up made of files and formatted disk. Tries to boot off of DVD, fails after blue screen. Apple Hardware tests all good. THOUGHTS?
Powerbook G4 with 1.25 gHz 15 inch display 512 memory and firewire 800.
DW was downloaded, just got the disk in mail and it boots only up to the blue screen (past Apple and right before login). So if DVD drive is bad, any thoughts on how to reinstall system? Tried using target mode, but restore DVD was incompatible with newer systems and ejected on restart.
Don't have store bought upgrade, so if possible I would like to use restore disk.

as a guess, see if it installs to the external FireWire drive
if works on the external, could be the hard drive problem, sometimes failing drives will pass tests
maybe try reseatting RAM/different RAM modules if possible (power/battery must be desconnected when removing RAM)

LR won't install due to exit code 7

I have LR 3 installed and now I joined CC and it won't finish install, I just keep getting this error message.
Any ideas? It downloaded and installed PS okay so far.

I installed Adobe acrobat X pro 10.0 trial and every time after installation and running the software it give me the following error message

Aperture 3 installation quits due to apparent outdated OS, but is not.

I have downloaded the Aperture 3 trial and during installation a prompt says that the application requires Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and then terminates installation.
I have a brand-new Macbook Pro (a week old) and has been updated entirely. I am at a complete loss why the Aperture installation cannot continue. I am new to Macs and am sure there is something I am missing that is probably clear-as-day to a seasoned Mac expert.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciative!

How to troubleshoot "Exit Code: 6" error when installing CS5 (Mac)

So hey. It's been a long, long couple of days trying to figure out this error, and even longer (and more frustrating) trying to actually find someone from Adobe who can actually give me customer support. You think they'd have a bit more streamlined approach when taking care of their customers, but I guess that's why I am here, so lets find out
Basically, I'm trying to re-install my CS5 mAster Collection I got a few years back onto my MacBook Pro. I got it about 3-4 years ago from my college as a "teachers an student licensing," and it worked great.Amazing. Hallelujah.
Now fast forward to about 4 months ago; my Mac's Logic Board crashes. I spend a lot of time and money recovering data via a 3rd party data company, and FINALLY get my mac fixed with all files intact.
Problem is, all of my CS5 programs are gone, although i still have all the files I created with them. So I go to reinstall my Cs5; I still have all the disks (in mint condition) and my serial-code. I insert Application Disc 1 and enter my serial code, the installation gets to the point where it asks for Application Disc 2. I insert disc 2, and after awhile my Mac spits the Disc out and the Adobe Installation Manager says the installation was complete, but with errors, and only 2 of all the CVS5 programs were installed. When I checked the error log on the installation manager, it stated "Exit Code: 6"
I have looked up this code many time, but i just can't understand how to trouble shoot it. I'm not a programmer or a computer wiz, so some of the multiple multi-step process Adobe suggests for troubleshooting are beyond my ability or understanding. ALL I NEED IS SOME HELP; clarifying steps to trouble shoot this, understanding error code:6, advice on how to fix it, even a way for me to get in contact with and ACUTAL person from Adobe Customer Serivice.
Please, I am a Graphic Arts Major in college, and I can't afford to have this continue to be an issue. HELP ME.

Did you remove the bits of the failed install before going on? Try creating a new admin account for the install. If that doesn't work, try doing a fresh download from Adobe's site. Even if you bought the boxed version you can install the trial and enter your serial number.

SCCM report for specific exit code

Can SCCM 2007 report on a specific exit code that is passed to a log file? I'm trying to make the report look for any installs that end in exit code 4 which occurs when a specific logic occurs.

No, there's nothing built in to skim log files or report on their contents. You could easily write a script to do this though and populate a custom WMI class instance that ConfigMgr can pick up.

Network Installer has quit due to an unexpected error. (exit code 133)

Hi guys. Our school just purchased some new 1.83 Intel Mac minis, and I'm trying to image them using our Powermac (running server 10.4.9). The minis won't boot from the net install image though, the spinning wheel just spins under the grey apple icon.
If I boot in verbose mode I get this error:
The Network Installer has quit due to an unexpected error. (exit code 133)
Please restart your computer.
The net image was created using one of the mac mini's as the master (i.e. off their installation discs + a few extra programs). I've used this process with all our other ppc macs and had no troubles.
Any ideas?

I'm getting the same error in verbose mode. I've made an image from an Intel iMac. My server, though, an Xserve, is running 10.4.8. I think the only difference (and I've gotten past images to work fine) is that I updated the Intel iMac to 10.4.9 in the new image.
What's going on? I've made close to 5 images and each one, the same error.

Look for this file or folder on your machine:
"<Macintosh HD>/Library/Fonts/MyriadWebPro-Italic.ttf"
Is there a folder named MyriadWebPro-Italic inside the Fonts folder? Is the file MyriadWebPro-Italic.ttf already existing within this folder?
In both the cases, delete this file/folder and try to install PSE again.

I know this issue has been posted before but the solutions in those discussions (Windows Installer Cleanup or Microsoft FixIt Uninstall-Install) do not work. I am in an Enterprise environment and need to get Air updated on all of our computers.

Looking at the event viewer Windows Logs/Application log, a registry key cannot be accessed during the install of 16.x . If I am able to set permissions on that key another registry cannot be accessed which halts the installation. I have been through several keys already and it just continues, another registry key cannot be accessed. "Unable to display current owner" and Access Denied when you try to set the owner. Is this a problem caused by Microsoft or Adobe? This is occurring running either under administrator or an account in the administrator's group.

Step 3: Insert CS5 disc and copy its contents to the desktop.
Step 4: Go To “Desktop\<<CS5 Folder Name>>\payloads\” and then Go To each folder that starts from “Microsoft_VC80” and install them one by one.
Step 5: Right click on the setup.exe and "Run as Administrator"

So I was installing Adobe Flash CS5 and ended up with this error.
I've been looking around the forums, and trying several things, but nothing seems to be working. I uninstalled Flash CS4, and used the Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool.
