Installer won't install

I've been trying to download and install the trial version of After Effects for the last two days. Each time I try, the Adobe Installer says that it is downloading Creative Cloud desktop. The green status bar moves about 10 percent of the way, the little blue status wheel is turning and there i stays. I've let the laptop run as long as two hours, but nothing more happens. I've tried loading on anothr computer and I get identical results.
I am using Win7 as my operating system. I've checked the task manager and it says the installer and download are running, but nothing is changing.
Any help would be appreciated

Client installer won't install on 10.6

I have ARD 3.6 running under Mac OS X 10.7.4
I create a Client Installer from the "Create Client Installer..." menu option. It installs fine on 10.7 machines, but won't install on 10.6 Snow Leopard machines, leave me unable to support older machines. There's no way to rollback ARD as I bought it on the Mac App Store. No way to roll back the ARD Client on the ARD machine. Stuck! What to do?

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem. I could connect through ARD by configuring the remote connections manually on the intended client, but I could not get the client installer to work.

My Installer won't Install anything!

Say I download a program from the internet or even put a CD in and try to install a program, when i double click on the program to install it, the installer will open up and then it won't do anything else. I've tried restarting my computer like many times and tried different programs to install to make sure that it just wasn't that one. I don't know what to do! I can't install a program at all and it's not cool. When the installer pops up, I try to get it to show the log for the installation but when i do that, EVERYTIME the program will freeze up and quite. Does anyone have any idea or suggestions?!?!?

First, insert your Install disk in the CD/DVD ROM drive. Shut down computer. Then hold down the "C" key while you hit the power button. Hold C until the gray Apple appears and the gear starts turning.
When booted, go to the Installer Menu and open Disk Utility. Select your Drive in the left panel and First Aid in the Main Panel. Run Repair Disk Permissions. When you are done with that run Repair Disk. If it reports problems, run again and again until no problems are reported. If DU reports that there are problems it cannot repair you may need Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior.
Reboot computer and try installing.

Itunes installer won't install itunes 7.1 (VISTA)

I unistalled itunes 7.0.2 and tried to install the newest version of itunes. After i allowed windows to start the install a Windows installer window opened and the install process stopped with a window that said 'quicktime did not install. quicktime is a necessary component of itunes.' Anyone out there that can help me?

Windows installer won't install v. 10.5 on laptop-any suggestions?

When windows installer runs download of v. 10.5 it fails to install due to program error. Is there a way to bypass the windows in staler
And install the update to iTunes? Running Windows XP on laptop.

Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

Can't install iTunes 10.5 on my operating system. I'm running windows vista home premium 64.
Every time I try, a window installer alert pops up. It says; This installation package could not be,

To verify that this is a valid windows installer package. I recently had to reinstall my operating system
Using my recovery discs. I got all my updates including service pack 2, but I noticed some updates did not install.

Repair your Apple Software Update:
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

Dreamweaver cs6 installation won't install on windows 7 64 bit system

I'm trying to install dreamweavr cs6. It downloads using the adobe download assistant but after it initializes the intstallation nothing installs. What do I do?

Your help please! I need to upgrade from Mac OS X 10.4.10 to 11 but my installer just flashes up on the dock and then nothing happens. If I try to do a software update from the 'about this mac' window I just get a spinning wheel of death for hours on end and nothing happens... Can anybody help please? It is driving me up the pole!

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.

Demo Installation - Won't Install

I've tried 4 times to install the demo and it craps out right after "Writing Files" starts. Anyone else had this problem? Anyone know what might be stopping it from installing?

That souldn't work like that!
It should give the same result: double-cliquing the software and launching Installer!

Developer/Designer2000 installations won't install into 9i directory

I upgraded to XP, then loaded 9i Database Personal Edition. I downloaded Developer/2000 and Designer/2000. After unzipping the file, I ran setup.exe. Both programs generated the following error message... {The location specified 'c:\orawin9i" is already used as an Oracle home for 'Oracle 82 Beta'. It cannot be used as an Oracle home 'nt'.} I tried changing the directory, but it "grayed out" the "continue" button, preventing me from moving forward. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Check the installation guide and the release notes. I guess that Developer can not be installed on XP. I had similar problems even when I was running in W2K-compatibility mode.

Creative Cloud Installer won't install.

I've got a subscription to Photoshop CC and noticed that it doesn't appear to be up-to-date. I go to the Adobe website, to the downloads section, to see about manually downloading the latest version, but instead of getting a link to download Photoshop, it gives me a link to download the Creative Cloud installer. Fine. I download the package, open the disk image and run the installer. It begins downloading the Creative Cloud desktop application (which I apparently don't already have), getting about halfway through the progress bar before disappearing without a trace. I've since tried following the instructions for manually uninstalling Photoshop by running the uninstaller in the Utilities folder. It tells me that it needs to download the Creative Cloud installer, and I'm back to square one.
I'm on a mid-2009 Macbook Pro running OS/X 10.9.5. Is there anything I might have missed?

Here are the screen grabs:
1. Downloading the CC installer package. No problems there.
2. Running the CC installer package. So far so good.
3. After about 2 minutes, the progress bar gets to about the halfway point.
4. Then it just vanishes into thin air. No error code, no warning, nothing. Just BOOP! and it's gone.
And everything else I try to do leads me back to this. If I try to uninstall Photoshop manually, it tells me that it's missing the Creative Cloud application and so I'm back to here.

Installer won't install updates (10.7.3 Combo/ AirPort Utility)

I was wondering why Software Update (or whatever it is called on the English GUI) didn't display the 10.7.3 or the Airport Utility updates yet on my iMac (27" mid2011 / OS 10.7.2).
So I tried to run Software Update manually. Software Update tells me that there is no new software available for my Mac.
Next I tried to download the Combo Update to 10.7.3, Airport Utility 5.6 and 6.0. Turns out that I can't install any of those updates manually either.
When I have to define the location to install the update all my hard disks have the warning sign attached and the following message is displayed:
Mac OS X Combined / Airport Utility /... can't be installed on this disk. An error occured while evaluating JavaScript for the package.
Tried repairing permissions, rebooting, no sucess so far.
Any help would be appriciated!

Oh god, just figured out what the problem was...
Booted up from the recovery partition and there it said "Can't install Lion on Server partition." I knew instantly what happened.
A few weeks ago I installed Snow Leopard as guest in Parallels via the ServerVersion.plist workaround. Forgot to delete the file I copied via Terminal... no wonder Softwareupdate couldn't install anything since it thought this was a Server. Thanks, your suggestion led to the resolution of this problem.

OMG freaking out please help!! Installer won't install..Disk Utility gone?

Newer mac user here with very little osx experience. First post on the forums really hoping you can help.
I have a couple issues right now. First of all, lately when I try to install apps nothing happens. More specifically, when I click on the .pkg file nothing happens. The screen kind of flashes (it doesn't really flash, but I don't know how else to describe it) like it wants to do something, but then.....nothing. This has happened recently with both a divx codec I downloaded from divx.com and also with neooffice. I have tried dumping the neooffice download in the trash and redownloading and trying to reinstall and it does the same thing everytime.....nothing.
Second....can someone tell me exactly what is supposed to be in the applications/utility folder? I thought there was a disk utility program in there that would allow me to reset permissions, but I can't find it!! I can't find it using finder either!! I am freaking out a little bit here and any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

QuickTime Won't Install, Can't Find Newer Version OSX 10.4.11

When QuickTime 7.6 released, the update caused problems on my Mac PPC G5 (OSX Tiger 10.4.11). I deleted it. I attempted to reinstall an older version of QT that I knew functioned. This was over a year ago. It didn't work. As it was not urgent, I forgot about it.
Now, there is software I want to use that relies on QT being installed.
Running into the same problem with the installation. It's a Catch-22 situation.
*The QT 7.5.5 Installer won't install because "a newer version is already installed".*
*However, attempts to run ANY software or movie or whatnot that uses QT tells me the opposite, that QT is NOT installed.*
I have searched the computer's furthest corners trying to dig out components and packages and it STILL insists QT is installed. I've searched on every possible variation of QuickTime, Quicktime, quicktime, qt, you name it. NOTHING.
What am I missing? How do I get this to work? I've no intention of upgrading to Leopard just yet.

As far as I know, the installing software still checks the "Library > Receipts" folder to read a history of which package updates have been installed rather than searching to see if the actual app is installed. Have you deleted the receipt ".pkg" files equal to or newer than the one you currently wish to install. However, remember this approach assumes that any "patches" applied in the ordinary upgrade process will not create a conflict within the embedded QT structure when reinstalling an older version--which may or may not be true here. (I.e., QT is no longer an independent application or software package but rather an integrated part of the operating system.) The safest approach is to re-install an older version of the entire OS and upgrade the system as it was meant to be updated to the level at which you wish to operate.
