Installin itunes 7.0.1

help when i try to download any of the software(itunes 7.0.1) it says unknown publisher and wont install plz help

Plain and simple, iTunes 7 is crap. I upgraded - may I should say downgraded with how it works - to 7.0.1 and it crashed as soon as I pressed the play button. Really giving a lot of thought to going back to 6.0.5.
jharkin and mpacific, I turned gapless playback off. It did lessen the number of crashes I have now. If you turn on crossfade playback only albums set for gapless playback will use the feature. Maybe you have already tried this...
Really what is the point to gapless playback? We already have "join CD tracks" so why do we need gapless playback? Hmm...maybe I'm missing something.
All this iTunes 7 crap really stinks. I feel like I'm stuck in a bad dream, dealing with Microsoft and can't wake up.

Also thanks to my brother who found a post from user s49 on Jan 3, 2013 in a response to a problem from a user who had the same problem in iTunes 11. I'll repeat what s49 did here since it solved the problem without having to change any security settings.
* First open the terminal program found in Application/Utilities folder
* At the prompt type cd /Applications/
* Then type the command sudo rm -rf iTunes.app/
* You will be prompted for the administrator users password, enter it.
* Then go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download and download the iTunes 12.1 installer for Mac.
* Once the download finishes reinstall iTunes 12.1
Once again, thanks for user s49 for above directions. It appeared that when updating iTunes to 12.1 from the Mac app store that something stayed in the iTunes.app/ directory that caused the problem. lWhat that was I don't know.
Since doing the above steps I've had no further problems with iTunes asking about network connections.

I had the same or similar problem after installin iTunes 11 on my Acer Laptop with Vista. The new iTunes ran but I
completely lost access to my CdRom/DVD drive. Error Code 19 was displayed in Windows Device Manager. Found out
this is more widespread of a problem than expected. After trying several forum recommended fixes, the Only thing that gave me back my CdRom drive was doing a Windows Restore to a date prior to iTunes 11 install. I got my drive back but it also restored me to the prior 10.0.7.21 vers of iTunes which no longer worked due to missing files. iTunes help
recommended a Reinstall. I am reluctant to do that for several reason. That's where I am at for now until I find out if there are any other risks for using iTunes 11 vs. Registry Errors vs. Losing access to my CdRom drive. Brad

IPod won' Sync with iTunes

Hi,
I recently restored my iPod because I was having some problems with it after installin the latest firmware 1.2.3. However, this was resolved.
Since my iPod was now blank (after being restored), I decided to use it solely with my home computer and took it home to sync. I downloaded the latest iTunes version and started the sync process.
After a few seconds, I got the following error message: Attempting to copy to the disk "XYZ" failed. An unknown error ocurred (-69), where "XYZ" is the name given to the iPod.
I tried this several times, and the result was the same (i.e. the same error message). At the most, I seem to have 5 songs on my iPod out of 1900.
I have looked at the guides posted by apple and on this discussion board about resolving error 69 problems, but it still does not work. For one thing, there is no specific song that causes the problem - it is very random.
Any thoughts on what to do to solve this?

Now the error 69 is often accompanied by error 48.
What's going on?

ITunes/Quicktime error

I was updating my iTunes. While installin it gave me the following message (Quicktime installation Failed Error Code:-3). I clicked okay and it said installation finished. I then tried to open iTunes and it gave me this message(Quicktime version 6.5.2 is installed iTunes requires Quicktime version 7.0.3 or later. Please reinstall itunes).
I have reinstalled iTunes 2 or 3 times over the last 3 days and I keep getting the same message.
What can I do????

let's first try a careful standalone QT 7.0.3 install.
Download and save a copy of the QT 7.0.3 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off any antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

Unknown error --45054 on iTunes

After installin 10.9 i checked applications and noticed that Itunes gives the "Unknown Error -45054" I click ok the the applications closes. Also Itunes is running 11.1.2, any one else having issues since loading new OS? Needing a little assistance if possible.

A fellow musican I know had an identical issue with this and asked me to check it out. I fixed it and wrote a long set of instructions on my blog. His problem was with 10.6 but it was an update he did preparing to move to Mavericks.
I was able to reproduce the error by just removing the /Shared folder from /Users

In order to comply with this form, I must point out that the fixed1t blog site does sell cheap Garageband and sampler support software and that I will benefit if you buy it. The reality is, nobody buys these days LOL ;-)

Hi, I deleted my iTunes 7.0.1 and installed 6.0.3, but now I cant upgrade to 7.0.1 by running software update. Nor can I install it by downloading it manually. It seems as if OSX thinks that I've already got iTunes 7.0.1.

I had a user with the same issue after updates and I was able to resolve.
I copied QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
I did so after uninstalling and re-installin, but I don't beleive that was necesssary. Thanks to user thurdy. This fix was from apple support for the error "iTunes stopped working". Figured I'd give a shot and it ended up working.
For reference the user was receiving the following errors exactly:
"the procedure entry point ?fastfree@***@@YAXPAX@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library JavaScriptCore.dll"
and
"iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error127)"

No. Apple only approves iOS 6 for the iPhone 4. So you have to go straight to 6, with iTunes on your computer.

Itunes 9 got my sistem to fail

then i got a problem somewhere while it was updating. Now when i turn on itunes with my ipod connected it says my ipod is in recovery mode and i have to restore it. then when restoring is in progress, it says "verifying restore with apple". once this happens i get an error that itunes quit unexpectedly. so i relaunch itunes, try again, and get the same problem again and again.
i contact with apple team and recomended this forum or go to an apple stor, which will have a cost, but there`s not one here in Monterrey Mexico
