Installing 10.6.8 has killed Entourage2011
I backed up everything I had on Mac OS 10.5. (whatever it was) . I have tried most of the suggestions I could find - to no avail. I have re-installed Office 2011. I have re-installed 10.6.8. I get the same Problem Report for Microsoft Entourage every time, no matter what. I cannot operate without that information. Anyone got a procedure which works? Thanks.

At this exact moment in time, yes, Lion is required. There are "rumors" of a 10.6.9 SL release for iCloud, but that type of discussion is not allowed here, so I won't discuss it.

Mountain lion has killed my mac book pro. After downloading and trying to install, I am stuck in a loop of "not enough room to install on this disk" and not being able to access the old disk's data to open up space.
Nope. It just opened the installer and stayed in the same loop.
It tells me to choose a startup disk but the only option is the HD which it will not use because it says it cannot gather enough information.
Eveything was working fine until the mountain lion failed install. -
Recent Windows 7 Update has killed windows
Help, I run Windows 7 in Bootcamp, recent windows 7 update has killed windows, this is what happens.
Choose to boot to windows - OK
Hit logon screen - OK
Logon - OK
Windows loads, the desktop shows for about 5 seconds and then the screen goes blank.
The computer is still ON but the screen is blank.
I can boot into safemode OK, but can't run the bootcamp update (that I downloaded from here) in safemode.
I tried a restore point, but the ones before the update create an error, so thats a no go.
My thoughts are that it is a video driver issue, but that doesn't explain how it gets passed logon working OK.
I don't know how to fix this if the only way to update drivers is via an .exe vs the driver files themselves like windows usually likes.You could try this advice from the Windows side.

The only reason why Acrobat installation fails and throw this error message is when there are some services running in the background causing the installer not to complete the installation. My take is try the following steps and suggest if you were able to install the products or not :
1) Navigate to control panel and confirm that there is no line Item that talks about Acrobat. If you see Acrobat XI listed there, please remove them.
2) Perform a selective Start up using the steps mentioned in this link.
Please suggest if the above mentioned steps were able to resolve the query for you or not.

But I noticed when I killed a job and checked in the last modified by option I didn't find my user name there. It was displaying the user who had modified that job definition last time.

When deploying Endpoint Protection with SCCM 2012, some workstations are getting a popup saying:
The software you are installing for this hardware has not passed Windows Logo
testing and it references "Antivirus". Upon clicking continue anyway it finished installing.
I'm not able to duplicate it on command and not sure why it's happening. Anyone else see this or have ideas on how to troubleshoot?Without a real screenshot (and maybe even being there), it's hard to say. IME this is not normal behavior and my first thought is that this is actually some malware causing this.

Recently I erased an iPhone 3 so that it could be passed on and used by someone else, using the erase all content and settings feature. This has killed my iPhone and it is now stuck on the Apple logo. I have tried a restore in iTunes but recovery fails. This is not a jailbroken iPhone. Anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?

My iPhone has killed four pairs of earbuds
Four times now since I got my iPhone in mid-July, my earbuds have gone bad on one side. The first two times it sounded like a tweeter (i.e. high pitched frequencies sounded "crunchy"), then a woofer (low sounds sounded crunchy), and now it is sort of a weird buzz, which is different than either of the past two.
Every time so far I just brought them in to the apple store and they gave me a new pair without problems. This last pair lasted less than a week.
I definitely do not listen to music at loud volumes -- I am not into that at all. I have no idea what is going on. It seems crazy to me that the phone/earbud combination would be designed in a way that the phone could even put out enough volume to damage the earbuds (if that is in fact the cause).
Anyway, has this been happening to anybody else? Could there conceivably be something wrong with the phone itself, or is this par for the course?I haven't experienced the same - still using the original set included with my iPhone purchased on 6/29 which work great and based on the number of posts here regarding this which have been few and far between, I don't believe this is par for the course and shouldn't be nor do I believe your iPhone has killed anything. I think you've experienced some bad luck getting a bad earbud set one after the other which doesn't seem likely and should not happen but certainly possible.
Keep making Apple replace your earbuds until you get a set that doesn't fail and/or try a loaner iPhone (should be at no charge in this situation) with a new earbud set. If this works without issue with the loaner iPhone for a week or so and then fail just after being used with your iPhone, this will indicate the problem is with your iPhone and will be repaired or replaced under warranty. -
