Installing 7.0.1 patch for PS 7.0
Hi, i've had Photoshop 7 for years now, and didn't have the internet at the time to even know about any patches and/or other releases for it at the time. But while the subject is in my head, and seeing as i use 7.0 as a back-up if CS4 decides to play up for whatever reason, it thought i'd install the patch. I downloaded the patch from here, the official site, but i have a problem trying to instal it. The proces goes fine until it actually comes to the patching part, which it then says it could not find Photoshop.exe to patch, even though it is looking in the right place and everything where the .exe is. What's going on?
Ok, was just guessing good luck.

I'm on XP, but thanks for the reply. I just found out that if it says that that you should re-instal the application so i'll give that a try quickly but things luike that never seem to work :\

How do you install the JDBC-OCI patch for a Windows NT4 IFS Installation?
I am about to install IFS on a Windows NT4 Server. I dont understand the instructions for installing the JDBC-OCI patch.
How do you install the JDBC-OCI drivers?
Do I install them after installing Oracle 8.1.6? and before installing IFS?
Is it necessary to install them?
I would be grateful for as much help as possible, I have never done anything like this before.

Navigation problems in IE7 after installing "BI AddOn Patch for GUI 7.10"
Hi,
I am having the following problem:
After installing the BI AddOn Patch for GUI 7.10 (bi710sp07p_701-10004472.exe), Internet Explorer is not behaving normally anymore.
The problem is as follows: When I click on a link with the CTRL-key pressed, then IE7 will open the link in a new tab. However the page does not load anymore in the new tab, the contents will stay empty even though correct address is shown address bar.
The same will happen with pop-ups, so pop-up will appear, but it will not load, page stays white.
When I uninstall the patch then IE7 will work fine again.
For clarity, I am not talking about BEx web reporting here (because we only use BEx Analyzer). The problem occurs when accessing normal webpages like Google (the problem does not depend on the website that was selected).
Anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem? Also having the same issue doing a full patch upgrade
As a local Admin install the patches in the following order.
1. bi710sp12p_1201-10004472.exe
2. bw350gui710_8-10004473.exe
3. gui710_17-10002995.exe
Getting a number of issues IE7+8 new tabs not working JRE stopped working and issues with excel (3 occasions)
Tried changing the order of the patches and doing full uninstall of sap followed by re-install of sap but the only thing which seems to work is un-install of IE, JRE and Excel then re-install. As you can imagine not very popular.
were going to try out the latest Bex7 1300 patch will let you know how its going

If I rollback the mlr#4 , everithink works fine. With mlr#3, mlr#2 the problem is the same.
The platform is one for development installer on RedHat 5 OS.
Any ideea ?
Edited by: [email protected] on Jan 26, 2009 4:34 PMMan Christian!
1000 Thanks for your tip. I run into same issue on W2K3 with 10.1.3.4 MLR#4 (so far last MR allowed for AIA apps).
I had the orabepl.ear file of the size as was mentioned earlier: 2.530.260 in the bpel\system and other one on the j2ee\ocj4_soa\applications folder.
Copying did not help.
I had to perform following steps from the <MLR#4>/custom/scripts/post.bat file which takes the file from the bpel\system,
ADDS some another .jars in it and ONLY THEN move it to the j2ee\...\applications folder:
copy %ORACLE_HOME%\bpel\system\j2ee\orabpel.ear %ORACLE_HOME%\bpel\system\services\lib\orabpel.ear
copy %ORACLE_HOME%\bpel\system\j2ee\ejb\oc4j_ejb_services.jar %ORACLE_HOME%\bpel\system\services\lib\ejb_services.jar
copy %ORACLE_HOME%\bpel\system\j2ee\ejb\ejb_ob_engine_oc4j.jar %ORACLE_HOME%\bpel\system\services\lib\ejb_ob_engine.jar
cd %ORACLE_HOME%\bpel\system\services\lib
%ORACLE_HOME%\jdk\bin\jar -uvf orabpel.ear ejb_services.jar ejb_ob_engine.jar
After doing manually these steps the orabpel.ear in j2ee\...\applications has got the size: 2.798.840 which was bigger as right after patch application.
Then I deleted the orabpel folder from the j2ee\...\aplication-deployments
started the j2ee containe (it was named: oc4_soa ) and the BPEL Console started live well as before in 10.1.3.3
As I did verify from other files The rest of steps from the post.bat file seems did well, only this part was not executed.
With Best Regards,

Blue Screen of Death when installing latest patches for Windows 7
I get a BSOD when I installed the latest windows patches. the actual error message skips between a General protection Fault and the following:
DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATIONS.
It is involving the file applemtp.sys at stop 0X000000CE
I am unable to recover from it including a "safe mode" and a revert to previously known configuration.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Solution for this problem is simple. You have to apply Mac Book Air SMC Update 1.7 which you can do from Mac OS X with Software Update or you can download required update manually from Apple support site. If you don't use BootCamp and have installed Windows without it, you will have to boot Mac OS X from external drive just to apply required update. After you applied SMC update, you can boot to Windows and apply BootCamp update 3.2 and 3.3.
There is a known problem with Mac Book Air EFI Update 2.3, which you won't be able to apply and it will show in Software Update every time you check for updates. There is no solution for it yet.
You get BSOD if you have BootCamp 3.1 and Windows 7 SP1 installed and you have commited Windows update which will break applemtp.sys as your SMC firmware is too old. It applies to Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit versions in BootCamp or native install. -
Patches for Installing Oracle 9i on Red Hat Enterprise LINUX 3.0 AS
I recently purchased An Oracle Database Enterprise Edition Trial License.
I am attempting to install Oracle 9i on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server 3 (RHEL AS 3).
After several unsuccessful attempts and consultation with the FAQs available on the Oracle site I have discovered
that it can not be installed without the following patches.
P3095277_9204_LINUX.zip
P3238244_9204_LINUX.zip
P2617419_210_GENERIC.zip
P3006854_9204_LINUX.zip
P3119415_9204_LINUX.zip
Can anyone tell me how I can aquire these patches?
This is for an eval of the product on the platform mentioned above. If I can not complete a successful install,
there is no way for my company to evaluate the product
and eventually purchase it.
You can contact me at this email address [email protected]Daer suneetkapoor:
I am looking for P3006854_9204_LINUX.zip in order that can be properly able to install oracle9i on Linux AS 3. And I saw you to reply the message on forum that you can share the patch. Would you mind if you can send an email with the patch for me immediately, I will greatly appreciate it.
thanks you

GumasYou need to apply the patch driver u3944888.drv using adpatch like any other patch.
Just make sure you apply all the patches under "Prerequisite Updates" before applying the patch.

How to get and install 10.2.0.3 patch for Oracle XE (express)
Total newby here, pardon the stupid question....
I've installed Oracle XE but I've been told I need the patch that updates the database to 10.2.0.3. I can only find a patch for Vista, I'm on XP. When I go to the metalink(?) page it says I need to have a support ID.
How do I get a support ID (free) for XE, or is there something I'm missing.
Thx,
Mark1) Just for sanity, I'm assuming that you posted a Metalink Note ID, not a bug. Metalink Note 334968.1 refers to bug 3807408.
2) The patches referenced in that bug would appear to relate to the Oracle client. Assuming proper licenses, I would expect that you could patch the Oracle clients accessing the XE database and resolve the issue.
3) The Metalink note references an alternate workaround of installing Visual Studio in a non-default location that doesn't include parenthesis.

While trying to figure out a problem minimizing files, which turned out not to be a problem, I discovered a patch for cs5. I could not install the patch. I then uninstalled cs5, re-installed it, shut off my virus protection, downloaded the patch first with firefox and then with explore and when win zip opens the downlaod and i go to install the patch I get an error message.
I have a Dell Inspioron, Windows 7 Home Premium,
Any help?
ThanksThat was still pretty terse.
It's not a problem to copy the entire log and post it here. Often times deep in the log there will be an error message that helps identify the problem.
With so little info to go on, these very generic suggestions come to mind:
1. Clear your Internet cache and download the update again to ensure you did not get a corrupted copy.
2. Close down all other software on your computer while installing, including temporarily disabling your antivirus.
3. If you have XP, make sure you're an admin. If running Vista or Win 7 run the installer As Administrator.
Note: If disabling your antivirus software helps the install process, you should consider tearing it out entirely and getting a better antivirus package.

Difficulty installing Rescue and Recovery 4.2 patch for Windows Vista
Which between System Update Installation History and Post-Installation Status Report should I believe, when they tell a different story?
When I run thinkVantage System Update, the post-intallation status report indicates that the following fails to install:
* Rescue and Recovery 4.2 patch for Windows Vista
* ThinkVantage Client Security Solution for Vista SP1
* Lenovo Wireless WAN Activation Patch
However, when I open the ThinkVantage System Update History Log, I read that the above updates have been installed.
Which one should I believe?
I'm willing to believe that the update has been installed, but whenever I run System Update, I keep getting the same message that the above three need to be installed.
Should I keep ignoring the message? If not, what else could I try?
I have a T60 running Vista with SP1 installed.Hi privard,
Thanks for your feedback. Anyhow, let me see how i could help to sort this out for you.

Dump in SAP after installing patch for Doculink of Opentext ECM
Hi,
We have installed Add-on of Doculink for Opentext ECM on ECC6.0 System. We have installed (new version 9.6.2) it from Open-Text (3rd party vendor).
01) Open Text DocuLink for Livelink Enterprises
02) DocuLink for Livelink Enterprise Server
03) Open Text Archiving and Document Access
04) Open Text Archiving and Document Access for SAP Basis
After transporting the patch DC3.1-001(instruction of patch) which we found from open text site of https://esc.ixos.com/ we are getting dumps in SAP that: Program is not Unicode-compatible.
Error analysis
The following syntax error was found in the program /IXOS/SAPLDC_C:
The program /IXOS/SAPLDC_C is not Unicode-compatible, according to its program attributes.
Can any one tell me how can this transport be reverted back from Open-Text 9.6.2 ?
Thanks & Regards,
Nikhilesh Rayis not Unicode-compatible
Have you tried to disable the unicode check?, It might work.... In anycase I think you should give IXOS a call, I presume they have seen this issue quite a few times :-D

Oracle Patches for Installing Oracle9i R2 on RedHat8 ?
I have downloaded disk1, disk2, and disk3 files from site:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/htdocs/linuxsoft.html
I have been told that Oracle 9i requires a patch available only from Metalink for it's successful installation on RedHat 8.0, Is it correct.
If so how do I install these patch?I have been told that Oracle 9i requires a patch available only from Metalink for it's successful installation on RedHat 8.0, Is it correct. This is (officially) an unsupported configuration, so I don't think Oracle provides patches for it. Generally, how to install a patch is explained in the corresponding README file, which comes with every patch.
See the 'Puschitz' site, how to install:
