Installing ACE XML Gateway with F5 BigIP

We currently have an F5 BigIP (2 redundant F5s actually) load balancing for our web sites. I am trying to install a Cisco XML Gateway.
What is the best way to set this up?
Thanks.
Jason

AXG runs as reverse proxy mode, similar to generic server, there is no more concern about deployment, just treat it as reverse proxy server, it will be fine.

  • ACE XML gateway version 5.1

    Hi, i am configuring a XML gateway 5.1. i have not WSDL file then i create a simple service proxy but does't work. we i try to browse the consumer interface error 500 and log say me “request matched no valid handler or route”. I think i am missing some part of the configuration.
    Friends, can you help me ??
    thanks so much

    I think it won't support. It will support WSDL 1.1 on ACE XML Gateway.

  • XML gateway with multiple XML structures??

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to import data using XML gateway with different XML structures. Third party system sometimes will not provide certain tags itself if there is no data for the tag like contacts in below sample xmls. In that case we need to ignore those tags (CONTACTS in below sample). As per my understanding, we must have tag in XML though it may not have any value.
    We have 2 XMLs
    XML1 for supplier with contacts
    <SUPPLIER>
    <NAMES>
    <NAME1>XYZ </NAME1>
    <NAME2>ABC</NAME2>
    </NAMES>
    <SITE>
    <SITE1>XYZ </SITE1>
    <SITE2>ABC</SITE2>
    </SITE>
    <CONTACT>
    <CONTACT1>XYZ </CONTACT1>
    <CONTACT2>ABC</CONTACT2>
    </CONTACT>
    </SUPPLIER>
    XML2 for supplier without contacts
    XML1
    <SUPPLIER>
    <NAMES>
    <NAME1>XYZ1 </NAME1>
    <NAME2>ABC1</NAME2>
    </NAMES>
    <SITE>
    <SITE1>XYZ1 </SITE1>
    <SITE2>ABC1</SITE2>
    </SITE>
    </SUPPLIER>
    Can we upload data in both these xmls using only one generic dtd and xgm using XML gateway which will skip any missing tag.
    Thanks
    Rishi

    Hi, you can FOR XML PATH for a finer degree of control over your XML.  Use the @ symbol to create attributes.  Here's a simple example:
    DECLARE @t TABLE ( rowId INT IDENTITY PRIMARY KEY, [address] VARCHAR(50), city VARCHAR(30), floor INT, suite INT, doorType VARCHAR(20) )
    INSERT INTO @t VALUES
    ( '123 Fake St', 'Springfield', 10, 512, 'Metal' )
    SELECT
    [address] AS "Address",
    city AS City,
    [floor] AS "Location/@Floor",
    suite AS "Location/@Suite",
    doorType AS "Location/@DoorType"
    FROM @t
    FOR XML PATH ('Company'), ROOT ('Companies'), ELEMENTS;

  • ACE XML Gateway Training Course

    Hello,
    Does anyone know of a company that offers a training course for the ACE XML Gateway? I have found many companies that claim to offer training, but no one acutally has any course dates. We have been working through our Global Knowledge rep for a couple months asking them to schedule a class but it sounds like there just isn't enough intrest to fill a class up. The only course dates that I have managed to find are in Europe.
    Has anyone attended training on the AXG, or know of someone who has?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    I'm not aware of any courses available in the US.  I've been keeping my eye open as well for the past 3-4 months.  I'm not able to attend any of the international classes unless they were offered online.

  • ACE XML Gateway 6.0

    Does anyone know if the latest version 6.0 supports the latest WSDL standard WSDL 2.0? The 5.1 version only supports WSDL 1.1 standard.

    I think it won't support. It will support WSDL 1.1 on ACE XML Gateway.

    Can someone explain why the ACE XML Gateway is monitoring some events and filtering others, when they are the same events?

  • Setting up Oracle XML Gateway for EBS 12.1.3

    Hi Experts,
    We are currently working on R12.1.3 and was asked to check on how to setup/integrate XML Gateway on R12.1.3.
    I have gone though many pages of this forums and checked the support ID's as given below :
    Installing Oracle XML Gateway and Oracle Workflow with Oracle Applications 11i [ID 152775.1]  -->  Its for 11i, don't find the same for R12.
    Oracle XML Gateway Release Notes, Release 12.1.3 --> does not help giving the information on how to setup XML Gateway
    Found the below link but not sure if this is what was asked and looks like Client Desktop Installation.
    11i - 12 How To Download and Install the Latest Oracle Workflow Builder (Client Tool) and XML Gateway Message Designer for E-Business (Doc ID 261028.1)
    I don't know much about Oracle XML Gateway and how to integrate this to EBS R12, I am not able to find how to integrate this with the existing R12.1.3.
    Please someone guide me though this.
    Also, I would like to know what benefit could we get with XML Gateway setup when we have the workflows and similar setups already available with R12.1.3, and is there is a way to work out the XML messages inside R12.1.3 without setting up XML Gateway.
    Experts please clarify the above and guide me and would highly appreciate for a quick response.
    Regards,
    Sandy

    Hi Sandy,
    Did you try the documentation library? The following gives you a detail explanation on how you can setup XML gateway on R12.1.3:

  • XML Gateway Software - OpenSSH

    Hello.
    I’m trying to remediate a vulnerability scan that was run against our ACE XML Gateway running version 6.1. The scan came back with three possible vulnerabilities all referring to various versions of OpenSSH. How do I confirm what OpenSSH version my XML Gateway is using?
    ACE XML Gateway 6.1-2009-10-20T15
    6.1-1138
    kernel: 2.4.21-47.ELsmp
    Cavium: 1.0-1
    Scan showed:
    OpenSSH Multiple Memory Management Vulnerabilities fixed in OpenSSH v3.7.1
    OpenSSH GSSAPI Credential Disclosure Vulnerability fixed in OpenSSH v4.2
    OpenSSH Signal Handling Vulnerability fixed in OpenSSH v4.4

    Hi Brad,
    The developement team has been adding security patches to the 3.6 OpenSSH for some time now.  They have told us that the AXG is not vulnerable to any of the security issues that 3.6 had.  Unfortunately, the only documentation we have is what you see on CCO.  If you require further information, then you'll need to open up a case with Cisco TAC so they can engage the necessary folks in engineering that can address your specific questions.
    I wish I could be of more help on this in this forum.
    Thanks,
    Sean

  • Error in XML Gateway Processing - java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

    Hi All,
    We have B2B Customizations for Processing Orders in our Applications .
    While an Inbound Document(ORDERSTATUS Document) got processed in our Application, we could find the Document being errored out in XML gateway with the following errors:
    (Note: Partners are on E2Open Gateway and we dont use Webmethods)
    1) ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError- ECX_INBOUND_NEW.PROCESS_XML_DOC
    2) ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError - ecx_utils.INITIALIZE:
    The Error has occured only twice (one in the month of May and the other in June) and its not replicable.
    We verified all the Trending aspects (If the Issue is due to XML Document content, Specific to a particular Partner etc).
    But we didnt find any clue about the occurence of this error.
    Kindly provide your views on the occurence of the error.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mangala.

    Hi Mangala,
    This error comes when JVM runs out of memory. Few cause may be -
    1. You are trying to operate on a very large file (comparing to your system's primary memory)
    2. You are trying to parse an xml, use SAX parser for best performance
    3. Your JVM_OPTIONS value is not sufficient
    You may consider increasing your JVM_OPTIONS value to some appropriate limit.
    Are you working with Matthew Sullivan/Richard's team?

    allen

    hi again,
    i managed to make this work and inserted the data in the XML file into my Oracle Table but i had to lessen the tags in the XML to only string values since i seem to get errors whenever i try to retrieve data with date and number values.
    does anyone have any ideas why? is there a special way of capturing date type values from xml into oracle xml gateway?
    i did some research and noticed that some uses a different approach when dealing with date types. they use something like...
        <MAT_REQ_DATE>
          <YEAR>2010</YEAR>
          <MONTH>09</MONTH>
          <DAY>06</DAY>
        </MAT_REQ_DATE>but i have no idea why. can someone explain the purpose why they need to use the format above. i'm hoping it holds the solution to my problem.
    thanks

  • EBS R12 XML Gateway Integration - Supplier information sync with MAXIMO

    Hello Guys.
    Recently I'm working on a EBS R12 implementation project, as customer already has MAXIMO application, they would like keep it ask "supplier" information syncronization between Oracle EBS R12 and MAXIMO through Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3
    For EBS R12 supplier creation/update screens done, currently I found I can get supplier information out by configuring Oracle APPS adapter within Oracle ESB(Enterprise Service Bus) scenario to catch business events but may not perfect this way.
    Then we would like try XML Gateway but seems there're no "supplier" related XML Gateway fit in Oracle Apdater module browser :-(
    Appreciate if any one can guide/help........
    Finally being in Dec at the moment, Merry Christmas to everyone first !

  • Dequeuing XML Gateway Messages enqueued with WF_SEND with Block Mode = Y

    I am developing a process to dequeue message from the ECX_OUTBOUND queue. The message is enqueued by an Oracle Workflow processes which raises a WF_SEND event. The Block Mode attribute of the WF_SEND event is set to "Y" which causes the workflow activity to wait for a response from the messaging system. The XML Gateway User's Guide says "the messaging system (such as OTA or Webmethods) will return the delivery status regardless of success or failure".
    My process successfully dequeues the message but the workflow process remains active waiting for a response.
    How do I return a response (the delivery status) to XML Gateway to cause the workflow to continue or error?

    Hi,
    Run the diagnostics script in (Note: 732295.1 - R12.0.6+ : Oracle Application Object Library XML Gateway Engine Setup Test) and see if it returns any error/warning messages.
