installing Acrobat Pro 11 on my Mac and it stops and says to close Safari, but Safari is not open???
Yes I got the same thing, it stops and says close Safari Notifications, but I've closed them in both my Safari preferences and Notifications preferences...so annoying.

I have acrobat pro on my lap top and recently installed acrobat pro on my Mac Mini, but the text recognition function is not working, does anyone have any advice on how to remedy this problem?
On my laptop when I open up a pdf file and do a search for a particular
text phrase it prompts me to run a character analysis. Whereas on my mac
mini, when I try to engage the same process it just says it couldn't find
the phrase and doesn't even try and run a character analysis. I tried
clicking on the tool bar and the recognize text tab but nothing there seems
to do anything.
In trying to figure out the issue on my own I noticed one thing. I run a
small law firm in St. Louis and I scan in all my files to which are
subsequently emailed to my outlook account where I will save them as pdf's
to their respective folders. On my laptop when I open up an email from my
scanner I see the image of a acrobat document next to the attachment
paperclip symbol. However, when I open up the same email on my mac mini I
notice instead of an acrobat file image it shows a Preview file image (the
program used to open up pdf's before I installed acrobat).
Hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Jonathan McAllister -
I installed acrobat pro on my computer, and now I am unable to download items because I get a message that I need to open acrobat for the user agreement. opening acrobat pro does not help. What do i do?
I have not contacted Adobe. I am using acrobat pro CC, and haven't noticed any problem with the software itself. The only problem I have had so far is when I try to download.

I started to install Acrobat Pro and I need to stop the installation.
I started to install Acrobat Pro on my Windows 7 machine and the download is stuck at 1% so I tried to cancel and the install window won't close.
Just try a separate download and then do the install. Also be sure you are logged in as the administrator and have anti-virus disabled.

I had a technician, Rajat, from a Adobe re-install Acrobat Pro. It still won't open. He said the case has to be elevated. How do I get help from someone in the United States?
Not one of my technicians. We are just fellow users of the product.
But if you start from the top and explain your problem we have a fair track record of helping. Some questions for you
- what version of Mac or Windows
- what version of Acrobat Pro
- what exactly happens when you try to open Acrobat Pro (error messages in full please)
- whether it ever worked and what changed? -
Installed Acrobat Pro and uninstall Reader does not work defaults back to Reader
I've installed Acrobat Pro, after installing Acrobat Reader. After I uninstall Reader and click on a PDF file, it automatically opens it in Reader. I've clicked Acrobat 9 as my preferred software, but next time, it reverts back to opening in Reader. I'm using a lenovo Yoga laptop with Windows 8.1.
Thank you very much for your reply. This didn't work. As you can tell, this is not a high priority for me, just annoying that I have to uninstall Reader every time I open a PDF. It will open in Acrobat after that, 'til I shut down my laptop.
Here's the order: I installed Acrobat Reader. Then I installed Acrobat Pro. Then I uninstalled Acrobat Reader. But when I click on a PDF file, it reopens in Acrobat Reader (I don't use Microsoft Reader - at least on purpose!) Somehow Acrobat Reader is not completely uninstalling and reactivates. Our computer consultant tried to fix it, but couldn't. He said he thot some of his research showed this was a problem in Windows 8 and 8.1?
I just tried going into Programs in the Control Panel and Acrobat Pro 9 only shows Uninstall/Change, not Repair. However, I clicked through and got to Repair. Tried that (which I've actually done before) and still didn't work. -
I recently bought a new macbook and installed Acrobate Pro. My settings/preferences did not come over and I do not have the same style options for my signature. It now only allows me three options and the style I have been using for the last year is not there. How do I add additional options and get my preferred signature style back?
Hi Amanda ,
Which version of Acrobat are you using?
Which signature style are you talking about?
You can go ahead and try uninstalling and reinstalling it and see if that works for you .
Use the cleaner tool to uninstall it .Here is the link.
Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
You can refer to the following link to re install it .

I recently installed Acrobat Pro X on my Mac. I initially accepted the terms of agreement, but then every few seconds the same prompted window for the terms of agreement keeps popping up. Can anyone explain why this is happening, and how to resolve?
Have you tried reinstalling the original drive? Same symptoms with it?

I am trying to re-instal Acrobat Pro on my computer after changing OS and resetting everything. I am using the CC panel for installation. It shows it installed and won't let me install it. I doubled check everything on my computer and it is not installed. Even more, all my PDF files now show an HTML extension rather that PDF and only opens in my browser, which means the program is not here.
How to re-install it, please, when the CC panel installer won't let me do it? Thanks!Try "Pacifist"!
Pacifist is an application for Mac OS X that opens up .pkg installer packages, .dmg disk images, .zip, .tar, .tar.gz, .tar.bz2, .pax, and .xar archives, and more, and lets you install individual files out of them. This is useful if you need to install just one file out of a package instead of the entire package -

When installing Acrobat Pro 11 on Windows 7 32 bit, it just hangs and won't install
When installing Acrobat Pro 11 on Windows 7 32 bit, it takes you through all the way to install, then it just hangs and won't install.
Hi mrmacnology,
Please check and ensure that you should not have any prior version of Acrobat already installed on your computer.
Do you get any specific error message?
You might try installing Acrobat from a different browser.
