Installing actions in Adobe Elements

I have been trying to install actions into my Adobe Elements program. I can't find anywhere
for actions to go. This goes for backgrounds as well. When I look at the Adobe program file,
there isn't even a folder marked actions or backgrounds. There is no action pallet. No way to access any backgrounds. Is there something I am missing?

I am trying to download actions I purchased into photoshop elements 11. I was told to locate the actions palette, click the drop down menu on the top right and select load actions. Well,,,,,I cannot even find the actions palette. Makes me feel like an idiot....LOL... I have looked everywhere and cannot locate it.

Which should bring up this window. Click the little four lined square at the upper right for the popout menu and choose Load Actions.
If you don't see these options, make sure you are in Expert mode. Click the word Expert at the top of the PSE window:

Installing Actions in Elements 10 Mac/SSD drive

I've installed actions in Photoshop elements 9 before with no problem. I just tried to install an action in PSE 10 and here's the puzzling thing: I'm going to Library (not user library) / Application Support / Adobe / Photoshop Elements 10, but instead of seeing the Photo Creation folder and Locale folder, I'm only seeing a Presets folder and in the Presets folder is an Actions folder.
It's now the same in PSE 9 folder as well.
At first I thought, cool - Adobe changed this, but the action I put in the action folder doesn't show up and all the instructions I'm finding on the internet are telling me to install actions the way I did before - except those folders are not there for me!!
Since the last time I installed an action in Elements, I've upgraded my iMac to a one with an SSD drive / Mac Hard drive. I don't know how this might make a difference, but it's all I can think of.
I'm not really an Elements user, I just use it to test the Actions I make in Photoshop.
I'm making my action in PS CS2
My system is 10.7.5

There are two methods to play actions in PSE10. One from the Effects panel and other from the Action Player Guided Edit.
To play in Effects Panel:
Mac HD\Library\Application Support\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Photo Creations\photo effects
Put you .atn file and .png file here (as explained by 99jon)
To play in Action Player guided edit:
Mac HD\Library\Application Support\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Locale\<locale>\Workflow Panels\actions
Put your .atn file in this folder.

Re-Installing Adobe Elements 10

I need to replace my hard drive, if I deactivate my installed version of Adobe Elements 10 will I be able to re-install it on the new hard drive? Or is there something else that I will have to do?

Yes. Thats the best thing to do. Open the Editor and click Help >> Deactivate.
You are permitted 2 installations of PSE10 e.g. one dektop plus one laptop.

Adobe Elements Premier will not run - Application Error

Installed the combined Adobe Elements 12 (Photoshop and Premier) package. Adobe Elements Photoshop runs fine. The Elements Premier comes up with an Application Error. I have a custom computer that runs flawless

If you go to Computer/Manage/Event Viewer/Windows Logs/Application, do you find an error corresponding to this issue.
If so, does the error message there give you further insights into the issue and how to correct it?
The Elements Premier comes up with an Application Error.
What are you doing when you get the above "Application Error"?
a. Double clicking the desktop icon of the program?
b. Selecting Video/New Project in the Welcome Screen?
c. Other?
Are you running the program Run As Administrator and from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?
Latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
Video card/graphics card with latest driver version according to web site of the manufacturer of the video card/graphics card?

You need to install it on the computer you want to use it on. If you installed it on your external drive (while booting from that drive), you will need to boot from the internal drive and install it there.

Installing predecessor of adobe photoshop elements 6.0-7.0

I am using mac as a platform, I have installed already the photoshop elements 6.0 with serial number, now how can i download adobe photoshop elements' predecessor ver 7.0, I also have the serial number for the 7.0 version, it is included in my cd jacket from wacom bamboo bundled software that I bought 4 years ago, where can i download the 7.0 version?

Problems installing Adobe Elements 4.0

Wow, do I love my Macbook Pro. No waiting to order it. Got it 3 weeks ago at the Apple Store. No noise, no problem installing my old files .etc.
However, tonight I tried to install Adobe Elements 4 two times. Both times at the last seconds of installing I get a message to try installing again. Is this a known issue with intel Macs? Or do I have defective software?

That's a good question which often leads to a lot of debate. Most benchmarks show the effect of dual channel is minimal, probably because with most applications memory is not the bottleneck, other sub-systems like the hard drive or graphics are.
It really depends on what you're going to do with the computer: if a lot of Elements 4 work under Rosetta with many windows open etc. I think you'd be well served by going to 2GBs of RAM. If intensive use like that will be minimal, and mostly you're going to "iLife it up," e-mail, surfing, etc. then you'd probably be happy adding another 512MB. Over time as more programs go Universal the overhead imposed by Rosetta will be less & less of an issue.
When shopping be sure to check out OWC (Other World Computing) for their pricing on genuine Samsung memory (I'm not a fan of their "no name" brand). Apple uses a lot of Samsung itself, as well as Micron which you can buy from Crucial.com. Others will have their own favorites to recommend, of course.

Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader X into Adobe Elements 6.0

I am using Adobe Elements 6.0 which comes with Adobe Reader 6.0. In the past per a TechNote (331114), I was able to update the Adobe Reader from the 6.0 to the latest version I am currently using (9.0) by putting the file into the folder: "Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 6.0" as the TechNote recommended.
Now I want to update to the Adobe Reader X (10.1.1) but that download will not allow me to direct the installation into the "Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 6.0" folder. It only does an automatic install and does not let me choose where to put the files (no menu pops up to let me direct the installation to a different folder).
How do I make it install to the "Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 6.0"? Or, dan't I dod that with the Adobe Reader X?

I came upon this post after receiving this error message when trying to install Acrobat 9. In my case, we deploy Acrobat from an Administrative Installation Point (AIP) using Group Policy. I believe the user at this computer pulled the plug while the group policy deployment was taking place. I got the error when trying to install the program manually afterwards.
I was able to rectify the issue by running msiexec.exe against the MSI in the AIP with the /x switch, performing an uninstall:
msiexec /x \\server\deploy\AcrobatStandard9\acrostan.msi
(The program was not showing up in Add/Remove programs, otherwise I would have tried uninstalling from there.) After that, the install proceeded successfully.

Does it begin with 1057? If not, it's a redemption code. In which case, see here:

If it is a serial number, go to system preferences>security & privacy>firewall>firewall options and be sure that PSE is allowed to call out.

Adobe Elements 13 upgrade will not install

Adobe Elements upgrade to 13 will not install on any other drive but C:\ even though I designated another drive in the installer. It only installs on C:\ and I DO NOT HAVE SPACE ON C. It is replacing Adobe Elements 10 which did install successfully on my drive B!
If I can't get the upgrade to install on another drive, please send me back my money.

Hello everyone! I just got Photoshop Elements 10 for Christmas. I was trying to install photoshop actions that have already been created into my Photoshop Elements 10, I did read the instructions on how but It doesnt seem that I'm finding enought information on how to install it. Photoshop Elements 11 and installing actions

I tried time and again to install actions from Pure and cannot find them once I do all the necessary steps. I cannot pay someone every time I buy actions and want to install them. I did all the steps from several you tube videos and think they are in but cannot find. Shouldn't they be on the right with all my other actions? I get to the point where I copy the actions and paste them into another file and that's up posed to be the last step and they aren't there.

The simplest way to install an action in PSE 11 is:
Open Action panel from Window >Action ( the option is available only in expert mode)
click the right top button to open up the options
choose "load actions"
choose your action file and click ok.
Please note that the action would be available here till you choose "reset actions..". In that case you need to load your actions again

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it.
