I want to activate Adobe 9 standard on my new HP computer, but it is telling me i need to deactivate on one of my two other computers. I tried deactivating on my old Dell computer unsuccessfully, so I removed the software from the computer. I want to deactivate the software on my old Dell and activate on my new HP. Can you help with this.

and activate with your serial number.
if you have a download problem (eg, you see an error page or you are offered an incorrect version), you probably didn't follow all 7 steps. typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies so that (a restrictive browser setting) is another potential source of problems.

Please let me know if you have the same OS on your new laptop as the previous one because you cannot transfer an Acrobat license on cross-platforms. (like from Windows to MAC OS or vice-versa)
Also, let me know what version of OS are you using on the new laptop. Is it compatible with Acrobat XI std. version?

When you are successful, be sure to backup the install file and your S/N to a backup HD and/or CD so it is available in the future.

I have recently installed Adobe XI Standard and it continues to lock up and close down the product?

We originally had Adobe 9 Standard installed and it never locked up, but with the newest version it appears to be a daily occurrence that it will lock up and shut down the program. I have uninstalled the program completely and re-installed and that did not solve the problem.

Do you get the opportunity to see the complete error send data to Microsoft via an error dialog? If so you can grab the Windows Error Log and post it here on the forums.

No, I am saying the three programs that you want to use in the suite, if you are planning on using all three programs (at the same time) then it is possible your system could slow down, then a RAM upgrade will help. Give it a try it may work out okay.
Yes, I know how to backup separate things on to another external hard drive. Just connect the hard drive make sure it is formatted for use as a Mac hard drive. Open disk utility and click on the hard drive at the bottom of the window it will show you the partition map scheme, it should be GUID Partition Table. If not then you should format the hard drive but clicking the erase tab and the selecting Mac OS Extended (journaled) from the format drop down box. If you are going to use the drive to transfer files from Mac to PC then you should select MS-DOS (FAT) the only problem with this format you will not be able to copy file larger then 4GB. Then just open the find and drag and drop folders and files to the external hard drive.

It seems when you extracted the setup for the Acrobat standard XI , normally the setup gets extracted on desktop by default and that might have got mixed with previous extration of setup of Acrobat XI pro . You can try to extract the setup again which you might have downloaded recently in different location and meanwhile to try to check if you have already Copy of Acrobat installed on the Computer . Try uninstall and restart the computer. After restart try install again.

Oh I an SO frustrated! I had a second installationattempt which failed as the fan went on my laptop earlier in the year. I am trying to install it again, & when I am asked for the serial number I entered the one that is listed in my account. I also have a serial number listed for Adobe Acrobat Professional. Is the Design Standard the same as The Creative Cloud. There seems no way to contact anyone by email or anything. All help & 'Contact us' just sends me back to these forums. I can't find anywhere to 'chat' either!
