Installing Adobe LCCS on a dedicated server

Hi,
Recently, I was trying out Adobe LCCS for screen sharing and file publishing features, and indeed found it as great collaboration service for all the flex application build around the world.
We have a application built on Flex and .net for virtual events domain. I want to use Adobe LCCS to leverage features like web conferencing, screen sharing etc. By going through the site and other blogs, I could understand that this service is provided as S-a-a-S but I want to install this service on a single dedicated server at our end and avoid any dependency on the external server. Does Adobe provides LCCS as a offering of this? Even a pre-installed server could be an option? Also, we are using FMS for our application, can this FMS instance (instead of fms.acrobat.com) be utilised for file sharing, video confering and whiteboard.
Thanks,
Anubhav Bisaria

Sorry Anubhav,
We have had such requests in the past, but currently we dont offer that option.
Thanks
Arun

Hi, if i want to install Adobe Photoshop Elements on a Terminal Server so 5 people can use it at the same time, what kind of licence do i need?
    Thanks

I dont think this workflow is suppoted.
You will have to install PSE on all the 5 machines and buy a Volume Licensing serial number for using same serial number on all the machines.

  • Cannot install Adobe Reader 9

    Hello,
I have problem to install Adobe 9 on two Terminal Server.
Windows 2003 French R2 SP2 with Office 2003 and all Microsoft Updates.
Previous version of Adobe Reader was 8.1.3.
When I install Adobe Reader 9, I have this error message (translated from french):
"Program have not enough rights to access folder: c:\document and settings\all users\application data\adobe\acrobat\9.0. Impossible to install.
Open an administrator session or contact your system administrator."
Of course I'm Domain Admin. And I have access to the folder.
I have try to manually create the folder 9.0 in c:\document and settings\all users\application data\adobe\acrobat\ and it gives me the error:
"Error when creating the folder "c:\document and settings\all users\application data\adobe\acrobat\".
I test with an other admin account, and with the "run as" command, same problem.
I have test Adobe Reader 9 in english: same error:
"Error 1303. This instsaller has insufficient privileges to access this directory: c:\document and settings\all users\application data\adobe\acrobat\9.0. The installation cannot continue.
Log on as an administrator or contact your System administrator."
It's very strange because now, I cannot reinstall Adobe Reader 8.1.3, or 7.1.0. Nothing happen when I click on the icon.
I never have trouble on those servers to install/uninstall applications. And never have trouble to install Adobe 9.
Any idea? I will make some searches about the #1303 error.
    Thanks

I have try this solution for the same error for other Adobe products:
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb405850
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=332541
    Ok, it works.
I have to apply full rights on folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\application data\adobe for the local admin group, and not the domain admin, and it works. :)
    Thanks

  • How do I install Adobe Air on a server?

    I am using RH8 and Windows 7.
I am trying to make Browser Based Air files work on a server.
I was told that I need to install Adobe Air on the server. How do I do that.
IT made my pc into a server. I went to the Adobe Air download site and tried to install it on the server but it only let me install it on my pc. How do I install it on the server? Also, where on the server do I install it?
My pc is configured so the server is lovejoyp/WebTest. Do I install Adobe Air in a certain folder?
    Any help is gratefully appreciated.
    Pat

You are mixing the types of AIR help.
Locally installed AIR help requires the AIR runtime to be installed on the users PC.
Browser based AIR help does not require that and the runtime is not intended to be installed on a server.
This is all described in the AIR pages on my site. I think you need to read those again and maybe with your IT people.

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat 9.0 on a windows 2008 R2 terminal server

We have had Adobe Acrobat 9.0 with our volume license installed on a Windows Server 2008 r2 acting as a terminal server and when clients remote into the server they cannot create pdf's.  The box is also a domain controller which is not suggested by microsoft but we inherited it like this.  I have tried uninstalling the product and reinstalling it.  I ran all updates and still did not work.  I also removed everything and then re-installed Adobe Acrobat 9.0 using the "Install Application on Remote Desktop Server" and that did not work (it actually assigned the printer port to a COMM Port instead of the Documents\*.pdf normal port)
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi bestteksupport1,
Please check if you meet the system requirements : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-produ cts.html#id_69342
Acrobat 9 has compatibility issues with 2008 R2 Server.
Support on 2008 R2 has been implemented from Acrobat 10.

The Adobe Extensions manager does not work properly and there for the InDesign application will not load properly becasue the extension/plugins are not being installed correctly. Cirtix requires that applications are inatlled via the Winowdows application installation tool
Is there a prescribed/recommended way to perform the installation of Adobe CS6 on Windows Server 2008?

BerrisAnderson neither InDesign or InCopy are designed to work in the environment you have described.  Please see Technical support boundaries for virtualized or server-based environments - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/technical-support-boundaries-virtualized-or.html for more details.

Sorry but this has nothing to do with Windows Server Security, which is the
purpose of this forum. You're going to need to ask this question wherever
"hiphop for PHP" is supported and that won't be a Microsoft support forum.

  • When installing adobe reader on my mac it states that the installation is complete, but on same screen it states the there is an internal server error and reader will not work

when installing adobe reader on my mac it states that the install is complete, but on same screen its sets thaw an internal server error has occurred and reader will not work

    Hi,
I have exactly the same problem on one of my Macs (MBP 15 Mid-2010 / OS X Yosemite): Both reader and Acrobat Pro download without a hitch. Both also install with no problem.
But once you click the program to open, they both return "an internal error occurred".
I tried downloading three separate copies, and still get the same error message when I install and launch.  I've also uninstalled the previous installations via CleanMyMac2 to make sure it's no longer in the SSD.  Same results.
Am using a new SSD as internal boot drive, with fresh / clean installation of OS X and Apps (previous internal HDD crashed) -- And am seeing errors not only with Acrobat, but also with LR5 which always comes up with a "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" -- inspite or uninstall, download and reinstall.  Not sure if it's a registry issue? (Not even sure if that's the case with OS X).
Do I need to reformat the whole SSD? I hope not!
    Thanks

  • Can I install adobe indesign CS 5.5 in Windows 2005 server?

    Hello,
I want to install Adobe CS 5.5 (actuall I will use only Indesign) in Windows 2003. (failing that, in windows 2005 server)
    1. Is there a way to install CS 5.5 in windows 2003 server?
    2. If not, how can i install in windows 2005 server?
Any information related to this will be helpful.
    Thank you.
    Regards

There is no product called Adobe CS 5.5! There are five different versions of the Creative Suite 5.5 with different componenet software and thus, simply stating Adobe CS 5.5 generally won't get you any questions answered.
Having said that, none of the versions of the Creative Suite officially support and of the Windows Server products. You may be able to coerce the installers to install the software on such platforms and then get the component applications to run, but Adobe neither tested such usage nor does it support same. In other words, you are really totally on your own here.
The only Creative Suite application that explicitly does support any of the Windows Server platforms and in fact requires installation on Windows Server is InDesign Server!
Also, please note that there absolutely is not any such product from Microsoft as “Windows Server 2005.” There is Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008, each with various editions, but there was no version with the 2005 moniker.
