Installing adobe, macromedia flash etc.. HELP!

Only just started using the internet on my mobile, tried to view a video on youtube and was shown the following error message; 'You either have javascript turned off or an old version of macromedia flash'. My question is-how do I go about installing these (and other) programs? If I was doing the same thing on my laptop it would be simple but I'm a complete beginner when it comes to mobile internet.
Anyway help would be great. cheers

Hi ThatFreep,
The Macromedia Flash installed in N80 is a light version, so some flash programs on the Web may not be usable on N80.
Sorry. Cheer. ^_^;

  • Adobe / macromedia flash

Hi, i was wondering how adobe / macromedia flash professional is running on these new intel macs (macbook pro) because of rosetta. All i have read about is for photoshop and even that has mixed reviews. Flash needs the processor more than ram as it doesn't use big files like photoshop.
Im trying to find out coz im a flash developer wanting to buy my first mac before i finish my uni course at the end of january when i will lose my eligibility to get student discount.
My other problem seems to be that there is no upgrade path from flash/studio 8 edu to newer versions unlike with the creative suite edu. and i dont want to have to buy the full software again 3 months later for the native cs3.
    any help/comments appreciated.

As a hardcore Flash Developer I've found some serious growing pains with Flash on the MacIntel machines. It doesn't matter what version of Flash you're using on the MacIntel side, it's just plan pathetic. Too say a 17" PowerBook 1.67GHz is faster or just as fast is completely absurd. Compiling swf's through the Flash IDE can be painstacking and forget about importing audio or video because that kills compile time (Luckily I keep everything external).
Flash and Mac have never really ran as efficient as it does on Windows. I've always felt OS X was the ultimate web developers machine so switching to Windows for Flash was out of the question. Yeah it's a little annoying the IDE and Player both run better on Windows but I feel OS X makes me an efficient coder on OS X(writing efficient ActionScript). Runs smooth on a Mac it's a guarantee to run great on a PC.
OK getting to the point, since I've been faced with the Flash and Rosetta issue this is what I've done and it's been a huge saver. I've bought a copy of Parallels and installed Windows XP (I know I said above I'd refuse go that route), and use that to tie me over till UB Flash 9 comes out. Heck Flash running under Parallels is at least 5 times faster than running under Rosseta. My compiling times have been cut to a minimum.
There is always the MTASC, TextMate and SWFMill route (Which is a great alternative). Also the Flex 2 Beta for Mac is out and that runs on the Eclipse Framework (Java Based Development Environment) and that's kinky on Intel. I use it every day now and it runs like a dream. Hopefully that has given you some insight to your question.

Error 1327 invalid Drive: E:\ appears when I try to install adobe reader, can anyone help?

    Hi Coralienz,
Can you please check the value of the registry entries at the following location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
In case the values for any of the entries (i.e. Common AppData, Common Desktop, Common Documents etc.) is referencing to E:\, change the value back to look something like below and you should be good to go.

  • Unintentional embedded install of Macromedia Flash 8 has corrupted Windows 8 Flash player

I am in a UK school. We have just installed an older drawing package on Windows 8.1 via GPO using its MSI. Unfortunately this contained an embedded install of Macromedia Flash 8 (available to de-select in the manual install) which has installed something to make the Windows 8 built in Flash player not work (it is detected as an old version). I have now nobbled the MSI using Orca not to install Flash 8 and new installs are OK but I don't know what to do to correct the dozens or so of PCs installed with the original MSI. The drawing package uninstaller does not remove the flash 8 damage. The Flash 8 installer has clearly replaced a/some files and registry entries and they need to be "restored" with the originals. Does anybody have any ideas, or perhaps an old Flash 8 installer package I could try running to uninstall it, or a list of files/registry entries that Flash 8 has modified? Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Hi OldFogey,
Microsoft embeds Flash Player for Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x.  I'm actually a bit surprised that this old install was able to modify the version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer as those files are locked.  Since Microsoft controls Flash Player for Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x I recommend asking your question on the pertinent Microsoft forums for Internet Explorer for Windows 8.x.

  • Problems Installing Adobe Macromedia Player 9

I'm trying to update macromedia flash in my computer, but I
cannot go farther than accepting the terms of the service. I click
on download, then another screen shows saying it will take around 2
minutes, but download never starts. I don't have the "gold bar at
the top of the browser" blocking the download.
    What can I do?

The reason they couldn't help you is because there is no
phone support or customer service for Flash Player. It's support
avenues are either using this forum or opening a support case via
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer.
You most likely have a permissions problem, which we write
about a lot here on the forum and are attempting to solve
    permanently.
I'm going to have someone open a support case and mail you

  • Adobe macromedia flash mx pro 2004

    Hello,
I have problem with compatibility between macromedia flash mx pro 2004 and win 7 . Flash crashes after about 1 min after loading .  Any solution or advice?

Well there is no answer to my question, but I did finally get the Adobe Media Encoder dialog box to come back again.
After uninstalling Premiere and QuickTime, then shutting down the computer, rebooting and logging on to the Admin account, shutting down again, rebooting again, logging in to the Admin account again ...
I then went in to the registry and removed all the Entries that had either of these in it:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\DVA\COM
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\DVA\FLASH
    and these as well
    C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTComponents\FLV.qtx
    C?\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTComponents\FLV.qtx
Rebooted the computer, logged back in to Admin.
I then re-installed QuickTime, and rebooted.
I then installed Premiere and the Adobe Media Encoder Flash dialog now shows up.
I'd be careful messy with the registry if you are trying to fix this type of problem.  Try uninstalling quicktime and premiere and do the above shutdown, reboot sequence a number of times before doing anything to the registry.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that Flash Website I've working on...

  • When installing cs6 on pc it is flashing a error message that file is missing try to install adobe support advisor pls help me

pls help me for this issue

You are not addressing Adobe here in the user forums.
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
Note that because this is boilerplate text.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
    etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster).
a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too.

  • I need to download Adobe Macromedia Flash and Adobe won't let me download it until i get a 32 bit version of Firefox. Where on the website can I find this version?

I'm using Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.6 as a browser. I need to dowload some Adobe software like Flash and i can't do it because this version of firefox is a 64 bit app. I need a 32 bit FF app/where on the website can i dowload this?
    Thanks
    Tim

You already have Shockwave Flash 10.2 r152 installed for Firefox on the PC you used to post here, see your ''More system details...'' next to your posting.
There are no 64-bit builds of Firefox made, only 32-bit currently. There are some 3rd party builds floating around out there, but Mozilla doesn't allow them to be named Firefox - they would be called Namoroka for 3.6 versions. Mozilla does have a Minefield 64-bit build for 4.0-pre versions, but it won't be available as Firefox until probably Firefox 5 is released.
If your situation is with a different PC than what you used to post here: <br />
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
    [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
    2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
    {XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
    3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
    * On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />

  • Issues Installing Adobe Premiere 11. Help???

I bought Adobe Premiere 11 off of Amazon.com and was able to download the software directly from the site with no problems. However, I've been having a problem with installing this software. When I try to install it says that "This installer does not support installation on a 64-Bit Windows operating system. If you are installing by browsing through the disk content, then please run the "Setup.exe", If you are not installing from the disks please download the 64-Bit version of Premire Elements 11."
So, I'm not really sure what to do now...help would be great! I don't want to have to buy the software all over again so if there is someway I can fix the problem without having to do that I would really appriicate it!
    Thank you!

  • Trouble installing Adobe After Effects - please help!

I have just purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium for my son's birthday.... Have tried to install and all programs are good except After Effects (which is the only program he actually wanted!!) + Premiere Pro - It says minimum system requirements not met.
My computer is an Intel Core 2 Duo and has Windows Vista installed - is this any good?
I know absolutely NOTHING about computers - all I know is that I have a grumpy birthday boy who wants this program installed.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated... and in laymans terms please.
    Thanks

AE and Premiere CS5.5 are 64bit and thus require a 64bit capable processor and operating system. Neither seems to be the case here. However, if you properly bought the suite, you can always install the CS4 versions of these products... Please read this KB article for more specifics.

  • I can't install adobe premium cs4 ! Help , its important !

I need the adobe premium for a project but i cant install it . This is what i see when i click install http://i49.tinypic.com/2dl2hxs.jpg , I'm running on Win 8 32bit computer , Is there a alternative way of installing it or other programs that can run on 32bit ? Its really important !

We need the install logs and more information about your system like what language you run, if you run as admin, if UAC is turned off, screen resolution and so on... That aside, it may simply be a compatibility issue with Win 8 that can't be bypassed.

  • Xcode 3.0 install wiped make, gcc, etc -- HELP!

I just installed Leopard, and found out that Xcode is not installed by default, so I went ahead and installed it. Before installation both gcc and make seemed to be working okay, but afterward I got the following errors --
    1) make:/usr/bin/make -- No such command or directory
    2) gcc -- No such command or directory
    Etc. What just happened?

Try running the Xcode installer again, and when you get to the screen where you can choose your destination or customize installation, click the "Customize" button. Then, make sure that "UNIX Development support" is checked, and continue with the install.

  • How to solve inability to install Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.146 for MSIE9

Update - 1/24/13:  After spending hours trying all of the suggestions on the web for Flash installation solutions, without any success, I installed IE10 (replacing IE9) and afterwards Flash Player installed successfully.
I am unable to install on Windows 7, the current downloaded standalone installer for Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.146.  I uninstalled the old Flash Player using the adobe uninstaller.  Nothing happens after I double click the latest installer file named  install_flashplayer11x32ax_gtba_chra_dy_aih.exe. There are no error messages, all that happens is the installer file deletes itself.  I have checked in the Windows Task Manager for any active Flash Player processes and are there are none.   The online installer for Firefox worked fine and installed the Flash Player without problems.  I am unable to find any solutions on the adobe webpage "Flash Player Help - Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows" (linked to the download page).  I am up against a brick wall, and your assistance will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I'm glad you were able to work around this.  I hope IE10 works well for you (I've been using it on Win8 but haven't tried the preview for Win 7 yet.)  In the future, you can also try to use the stand alone installers located here:
