Hello,
I wanted to know who I would need to contact or if I would need to contact someone to gain permission to install Adobe Reader and Flash on the custom PCs I build.
Let me know, thanks so much!

  • Installing Adobe Reader and got Error 1303

I was trying to install Adobe Reader and I got this error 1303. "Error 1303, The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Resource\Font\PFM. The installation cannot continue. Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator." Can you help?

Try running the uninstaller from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html then download and run the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Are you saying that Adobe Reader or Preview can't read PDF file that you download? Or, are you saying that you can't display PDF files in your Safari broweer? If the latter, then delete any AdobePDFViewer plugins you find in /Library/Internet Plug-ins/ and restart. That should allow Safari to display PDFs in its window. BTW, that's the worst place to view them. Better to download them and use Adobe Reader or Preview.

  • Hello. My safari (and i keep it updated) cannot open PDF files. Should i install Adobe Reader and which version????? I have Mac Book Pro running OS 10.9

My safari (and i keep it updated) cannot open PDF files.Should i install Adobe Reader and which version????/ I have Mac Book Pro running OS 10.9
    Please help me!!!!

    Back up all data.
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • Adobe reader and flash player can't be installed any more on 10.8.5

I am working with 10.8.5 since many months all right. After the last note from adobe to update my flash player i updated it as told. Unfortunately while installing there came a message "adobe installer was quit unexpected".
I tried to uninstall the old version with the adobe uninstaller. I can not install this one also, same message.
Now my reader and flash player don't work.
How can i manage to install them again?
    Thanks for some help!! Mike

Then post your question on the Adobe forums since it's their software you're having problems with.  This forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, and not related to Adobe in any way...

  • Problems with Adobe Reader and Flash Player

I had an Adobe update last Monday and, ever since then, I can't view documents (eg credit card statements) on screen and sites that I previously visited regularly without problem suddenly say that I need to have Adobe Flash Player installed. I've downloaded Adobe Flash Player and it says it's installed correctly but when I return to the site, it still says I need Adobe Flash Player. I've also tried doing an uninstall first and then an instal but the same thing happens. I've run disk first aid and it found a problem with the Head which it fixed but I still can't open documents using Adobe in Safari. Adobe Plug ins tells me that the Internet Access plug in is not loaded but when I ran 'repair Adobe Reader installation", it said there were no missing components detected and repair was not needed. I don't know if it's relevant but I've been having problems with Safari for several weeks, quitting 3 or 4 times a day, mainly when I'm switching from Safari to another programme such as Entourage or Excel.

    Hi Carolyn
I don't think I made it clear on the original post that I'm having problems with both Adobe Reader AND Adobe Flash Player. Unfortunately, all the Adobe Reader sites are confidential so I can't give you an illustration on that but for the Adobe Flash Player, try www.jacquielawson.com/ - you can preview cards without being signed in. With the Adobe Reader problems, I get a picture of a blank 'piece of paper' with a small blue square in the top right hand corner that has a white question mark inside it. The first time this happened to me, I was on the UK Inland Revenue site trying to print out some end of year forms. I phoned the Revenue's helpline and they said to try doing a 'save as' to my desktop. It seemed bizarre - saving a blank piece of paper - but lo and behold, when I opened it on my desktop, the forms appeared exactly as normal. However, I've since tried this 'save as' technique with my credit card statement and I still get a blank piece of paper with a blue square and white question mark when I open the desktop copy.
Thanks for your help and patience. I really appreciate it.

  • Installing Adobe Reader or Flash

It seems that no matter what website you go to, you need to have installed either Adobe Reader or Flash. I tried to do both and got the same error for both. Is it not possible to install those programs on the Pearl?
    Thanks
    Jeff

Please, you wrote "But the BlackBerry can natively read PDF files", you mean that:
    - I can read an Acrobat document that I have previously stored on the multimedia card,
    or:
-you mean that I can read Acrobat attachment of email messages?
The difference is thin but real.
I'm interested to read Acrobat document stored local.
    Thank you.

We want to maintenance the adobe products in the enterprise environment. Specially Update for he reader and players.
    Thanks

You will need to apply for both Reader and Flash Player Distribution agreements if you intend on enterprise deployments of these products.
Adobe - Adobe Runtimes / Reader Distribution License Agreement
If you are using SCCM and SCUP then use the available catalogs for both products.

  • Adobe reader and flash won't finish installing

''locking this thread as duplicate, please continue at [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1024944 /questions/1024944]''
When I attempt to play a youtube video, it says to update flash or it won't play. So I go to update it, download the official update, and when I hit run, nothing happens, after waiting, thinking it might be taking a minute to startup, I click it again. "Only a single instance of this application can run"
    10 mintues later, nothing.

Your system details list doesn't show that the Shockwave Flash plugin is installed and enabled.

You can find links to the latest Shockwave Flash player for Firefox on this page:

  • OSX Adobe Reader and Flash Movies

    Hi,
first of all, sorry for my bad english :-)
I put two Flash-Movies to a PDF. One of them is a simple Text-Animation, the other one is a Image-Viewer. The Image-Viewer gets the Image Data from a XML File, that's hostet on our Webserver.
There are no Problems watching the PDF on my Windows Adobe Reader, so the crossdomain.xml Settings seems to be ok. But on OSX Leopard, the ImageZoomer wouldn't play. It seems on OSX the Flash Movie didn't get connection to the Internet, so the XML-File couldn't read. The Adobe Reader Settings are set to default, Reader Version is 9.0.
Has anyone the same problems or can tell me whats going wrong?

What is your operating system & version?
For Flash Player, try a clean install as described in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
For Adobe Reader I need to know your OS.

  • Trying to install Adobe Reader and won't run!

I uninstalled Adobe Reader because nothing would come up when websites had PDF files any more.   I figured it would be really easy to reinstall Reader from the website and now nothing happens when I try to run the installer.   (I had to download the installer in Safe Mode, by the way, because my computer didn't let me install it through the normal means).  I have a lot of pdf files on my computer I need to view every day and now I'm in a world of hurt because I can't open them.  Can someone please help me figure out how to get my installer to work?  Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean about clearing everything after Adobe.  I did want to say that when I try to download the installer, I get the error message --
"Setup.exe application error.  The instruction at 0x02a10a4 referenced memory at 0x0a28f0e.3.  The memory could not be read.  Click on OK to terminate the program."
When I try to close the error box, it basically stops everything from working.
I got the installer to work only as far as to get through the first phase.  When it starts to actually download, this error message comes up.
