I have tried to follow the instruction on the Adobe site but they don't work. Tried to find: http://www.adobe.com/products/air/tools/ajax/. You can't get there.
    Are there correct instructions? Thanks.

  • Cant install air-flex projects

Hello, my AIR applications cant be installed in my system
because Windows do not recognizes files with .air extension.
Do you know if is needed additional software (like Adobe AIR
Runtime) to install my air based flex projects? I thought that the
installers detected if you have or not the necessary libraries to
    run the file.

  • Update process for installed CS extensions

    Hi,
Once a CS extension has been built and installed what options are there  if you want to send out a update for a CS extension you have developed, how do you notify users who have installed the extension that there is an update.
As CS Extensions created through CS Extension Builder are based on Adobe AIR is it possible to implement a update process similar to desktop AIR applications where it checks everytime it starts up if there is an update available or is there another solution?
    Thanks
    Stephen

Even if the whole process is not yet finalized yet, a few things can be said already:
Updates will be deloyed in the customer tennant => no explizit installation take place.
The update will probably be visible via the business configuration or a kind of system message.
Updates are also independent of the ByDesign release cycles.

  • Native AIR extensions in Flash Pro

I understand that AIR 3.X for Android supports "AIR Native Extensions" written in Java.
Has anyone successfully used one from Flash Pro.  I'd really love to see a working example from one of the Adobe samples such as their Gyroscope example at:
    https://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/native-extensions-for-air/extensions/gyroscope.html
    Thanks!

    @relaxatraja
Thanks for the pointer to this excellent post.  Worked like a charm.  Note that even after updating the playerglobal.swc, you are not able to test the resulting swf in the IDE via 'Test Movie' [Ctrl-Enter] because the IDE does not use the installed stand alone flashPlayer, but instead a built-in one (for CS5 is version 10.1.52.14).  It is not updatable, as far as I can tell.  See http://swfhead.com/blog/?p=575  Testing via debug or in the actual standalone player or browser plugin works correctly.

  • Can not open .air file after install AIR

  • Can we install AIR files on Android?

Can we install AIR file on an Android device with AIR runtime installed? I have tried publishing APK and it works. If yes, what is the difference between publishing it as an AIR app and publishing it as an APK?

If you have administrator privileges on your Archos Tab you can try to side-load the AIR installer onto your Archos from your Android phone.  Copy the AIR APK from your phone to a location on your computer and then connect your Archos to your computer.  Or if you have a directory on the internet you can upload and download, though I don't know the legal ramifications concerning all of this side-loading.  You may only be licensed to use AIR on the device on which it was downloaded.
But if you can port your AIR application as a .air file, you might have an extension to your Adobe AIR publication software that allows you to publish an APK file, in which case all you have to do is connect the Archos to your computer and copy the apk to the Archos and install the application, if you have administrator privileges to install applications outside of the Archos market.
Does this make sense?  By no means should you "root" your device though because that could void your warranty and also incur other personal damages to you that you do not need to have.

  • All AIR extensions for dreamweaver lead to nowhere.

A few weeks ago I installed a new copy of cs5 web pro and went to download the air extension for dreamweaver.  I have found several links but it appears that someone running the adobe site had decided to redirect any URL with AIR in it to the new air developer site. unfortunatly there is no place on that site that links to the mxp file for the adobe air extension for dreamweaver... Can someone fix it so we developers that have paid BIG bucks for this product can download the extension? its pretty poor management to break a link in a product to a website.  You guys should have a set of LINKs that ar on a NO TOUCH lis for your web host management team.

After rigourous searching myself, i found the direct link: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/air/extensions/dreamweaver/Adobe_ AIR.mxp

  • Basic instructions for installing Air?

    Hi
I'm use Flash CS5, and want to learn Air.
    I installed Air 2.5.
Do I need to istall the SDK?  If so, where do I put it, and how do I set it up?
What is the difference between the runtime and sdk?
    Thanks for your help.
    Shaun

    Hi Shaun,
Thanks for showing interest in AIR 2.5.  To start, it sounds like you've installed the AIR 2.5 runtime, which by itself will let you install and run AIR applications on your computer.  To start developing, you'll need to get the latest SDK.  You can grab a copy of this for Flash CS5 here:
Adobe Flash Professional CS5 Extension for AIR 2.5
There are instructions for installing at the bottom of the page, along with a link to the beta forum.  I'd also like to encourage you to check out the Adobe AIR Quick Starts for Flash Developers, the video tutorial series Designing an AIR Application, and the pdf Developing Adobe AIR 1.5 Applications With Adobe Flash CS4 Professional.  While the video series and the pdf are a bit dated, they still contain great information and you can information on the latest 2.5 API's on our Adobe AIR Developer site.
    Hope this helps,
    Chris

  • Air extension in CS6 on Windows 8 can't find java runtime

I loaded the air extension to Dreamweaver CS6 running on Windows 8. The AIR commands show up in menus but when I try to use them I get a message to load java runtime environment 1.5.0 or later. Java 1.7.25 is installed on my machine. Any ideas?

Found an answer. A friend who has Java experience updated the PATH on my machine and now it runs just fine. The details of how to do it are beyond my comprehension.

  • How do I install Air 3.1 to a drive other than C?

Installing Air 3.1.0 on a Win XP sp3 computer with a partitioned hard drive. How I specify the location for program install so I can put it on D drive?

    Hi,
Unfortunately this is not an option for the stand alone version of the runtime.  An application would need to utilitze the captive runtime to allow for the AIR runtime to be installed in another location.

  • I am trying to install an extension that requires FF 4.0. I downloaded 4.0 yet the extentsion says I still have 3.6.16 when trying to install.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF several times. When I try to install the extension (that requires FF 4.0), I get a pop-up that says I am still using an older version of FF and asks if I want to upgrade. When I click on "About Firefox", it says I have 4.0. In February, I downloaded FF Beta which I understand could be a problem. I also have read that you need to manually delete Beta files which I have done. I did a system search to see if any Beta files exist and no further files were found. I just want to make sure FF 4.0 is installed and be able to install the FGS extension.

Thank you, cor-el, for your reply. I clicked on the link you provided, and it took me to Create a New Article. I'm assuming an article already exists for this. Can you instruct me on how to view this article. This is the first time I have ever had to refer to Mozilla Help. I have tried to do this on my own, but am having difficulty. Thanks for your help.

  • Installing .air file on Windows 7 64-bit

This batch command works in XP and in Windows 7 32-bit, but not in Windows 7 64-bit:
    @echo off
    REM
REM  Set location to install to.  (This dir must exist or install wont work!)
    REM
    set INSTLOC="c:\producthelp"
    REM
    REM  Install help.
    REM
    AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -silent -eulaAccepted -location %INSTLOC% "Product Help.air"
(product name replaced with Product.) We are using the latest (today's) AdobeAIRInstaller.exe.   We have tried using identical syntax to install other .air files from the Adobe site; they did not install either. Is there something simple we're missing here?  Is there a known issue with installing .air files on 64-bit Windows 7?  I couldn't find one at this site.

I think the reason you have had no reply is that no one has an answer. The only thing I can think of is to ask if the AIR file installs if you run it normally rather than from a batch file. If it does, then you know where the problem is but I cannot help you with that.

  • How can I install an extension using Extension Manager CC?

    I have a mac running OSX 10.9.4.
    I have Photoshop CC 2014.1.0 / 20140730.r.148 x64
I have Extension Manager CC 7.2.1.6
According to "Creative Cloud" manager,  my versions of software are up to date.
I tried installing three different extensions.  None of them load. When I double click on the extension file, it launches Extension Manager CC, but it appears that Extension Manager does not recognize that I have other Adobe products installed.  E.g., "Failed to install the extension 'XYZ.' Please make sure the manifest.xml of this extension is valid and the Extension Manager recognizes at least one product which the extension supports."  I get variations on this message, but the common thread seems to be "Extension Manager recognizes at least one product which the extension supports."
When I choose "Manage Extensions" from the Help menu in Photoshop, it just launches "Creative Cloud" manager, which tells me all of the software is up to date.  (The first time that I tried this, it re-installed Extension Manager CC). Nothing else happens -- e.g., it does not launch Extension Manager.
Any suggestions?  How do I get Extension Manager CC to recognize that I have Photoshop CC installed?

One more thing -- I have seen references in postings to an "Extension Panel" under the "Window" menu.  I do not see that item in Photoshop CC.  (There is "Browse Extensions Online," which allows me to find more things that I can't load).
