Hi,
am installing CCMS agent SAPCCMSR on dedicated DB server, on ECC 6 , can any one let me know waht is the descriptipn of this file to download from SAP Market place and also the path from where i download.

To download agents with Release NW 7.0, proceed as follows:
Choose "Download --> Support Packages and Patches --> Entry by Application Group --> SAP NetWeaver --> SAP NETWEAVER -->SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 --> Entry by Component -> Application Server ABAP --> SAP KERNEL 7.00 32/64-BIT/UNICODE --> <Operating System> --> Database Independent".

How to install CCMS agent in MSCS cluster system?

Hi,
We just migrated our WAS 7.0 system from a single to a MSCS cluster system and we need re-install CCMS agent on it. New cluster system have two nodes. Each node we have local SAP instances. We have central instance for message server running on a shared drive, which can failover to one of the nodes. My question is when I install CCMS agent, where I should I install it? Each node of the cluster on local drive or only shared drive or I have to install on three places?

I followed Oss note 536954, but I am not sure that it is for new cluster system.
Furthermore, the CCMS agent that you installed, point to a CEN system (as Solution manager for example) and as second system to the central instance ?

Please advise any document how to install CCM4X and CCMSPING in the AS400 server (ECC6). Because i cannot find the CCMSAGENT file in the service market places.
is CCMS Agent supported for AS400 ECC satellite systems ? my solution manager installed in windows server.

I'm trying to connect our SolMan development to the CEN. However when registering ccmsr within J2ee admin it gives the following errors.
Does anybody have an idea?

Cannot download CCMAGENT.SAR to install the SAPCCM4X ccms agent for ABAP

I realize that my CCMS (RZ20) was empty (of data) because there was no agent filling it.
Following the documentation from sap, I have to download and register the SAPCCM4X ccms agent for ABAP (I have a SAP Netweaver 7.0 (2004s) ABAP Trial Version) but it has been impossible. I don't understand what is the error with my Download Manager.
Can somebody send me these files?

Graham is right. You don't need an agent, the system should be provide monitoring data at once.
But in your case

the reason will most probably the deactivated monitoring infrastructure. AFAIK the parameter rdisp/autoabaptime is set to 0 in the Trial Version. Simply delete it from the instance profile so the default value 300 will be activated. Same for the parameter alert/MONI_SEGM_SIZE. If the parameter is set to 0, delete it. After restarting the system you should see values in rz20.

CCMS agent update fails with an error

Hello All,
We are trying to update CCMS agent 700 unicode version on 640_REL unicode kernel.
But we are getting below error
./sapccm4x -v
Could not open the ICU common library.
   The following files must be in the path described by
   the environment variable "LIBPATH":
   libicuuc30.a, libicudata30.a, libicui18n30.a [nlsui0_mt.c 1557] pid = 860208

If you use the Unicode version you need to install the Unicode libraries also.
You find them in the download area (where you got the CCMS patch) under "UCLIB". I assume this is AIX so you can also search for the file
UCLIB_3-20000978.SAR
extract it and put the files in the kernel directory.
Then logout and logon (the shell) and try again (or simply give a 'rehash' command).

Perhaps your BI system is dual stack, or even java only?
In that case you should install the sapccmsr agent (as well).

Error,starting CCMS Agent

Hi all,
 We currently have CCMS agent version( 20040229, 64 bit, single threaded, Non-Unicode) installed on 4.6 D SAP R/3. It was running fine until we have upgrade our DB from 9i to 10 g.
 When we are trying to restart CCMS agent after oracle upgrade, error is logged as below:
ERROR: RFC error during logon: 104 RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE [Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)]
WARNING: RFC client functionality configured, but logon failed for [<SID>:<Client>:<User>] ==> pushing data into CCMS cache disabled.
Could any one help in this regard.

First check OSS note 792850 .
May be the password length is greater than 8 characters.
Check this OSS note which states the password should not be greater than 8 characters and no lower characters should be used. Try this out.

Ccms agent on server with : FreeBSD, Linux ?

i want to know if it's possible to manage a server with OS :
- FreeBSD
- SuSe
- RedHat
with SAP ccms agent.
For example : it's possible to install a ccmsping on a server that have a FreeBSD like OS ?
i know that it's possible with ubuntu.

With the FreeBSD Linux emulation layer it can be possible but the agent may read data hard coded from /proc filesystem and expecting a Linux output. FreeBSD is (how the name says) a BSD based system whereas Linux is more SVR4 based and has thus other structures.

Even when I try with profile parameter: mean: sapccm4x R pf=<profile path>

CCMS agent for notification

Hi guys,
I have a production server on SAP ERP 6.0 EHP6. I want to send a mail to a few people whenever the SAP instance goes down. I do not want to configure anything thru solman but directly on this server itself. I've read about CCMSping etc. For the mail part, I've already configured SCOT successfully.
1) I want to know whether ccmsping (or ccmsagent) is appropriate for knowing when the SAP instance goes down?
2) Can I directly install & configure ccmsagent on the server (no involvement of solman)? If yes, can someone please list down the steps briefly how to do it under unix?

1) Do I need to create the CSMREG user before installation of the agent?
You can create anytime. It is a Communication user with role "SAP_BC_CSMREG". you must not change the password of the user CSMREG.
2) Under windows we require the shared folder \\host\saploc\prfclog. In unix (solaris), it is not required, isn't it?

You register ccm4x service for abap system in OS level
SAPCCM4x -R pf=<instance profile name>
Restart OS and check the ccms service in services.msc

But that satellite system's CCMSping agent is already pointing to another Solution Manager system.

As far as I understand, we can use only a single CSMCONF file in a particular remote system's 'CCMS agent configuration directory'.
Either you delete the current registration and current CSMCONF file - and then start new registration in DIALOG mode to register BOTH the CENs during 'a single registration/installation procedure'. Refer the help page -

OR, you keep existing registration and current CSMCONF file - and then start another registration (for second CEN) in DIALOG-FREE mode by editing the existing/current CSMCONF file itself.

CCMS Agent Issue in Central Monitoring System

Dear Guru's,
We are configuring the CCMS Agent in our landscape, while registering the CCMS Agent we're facing some issue.
CEN system - Only ABAP Stack - ECC 6.0 Ehp3
Target System - Double stack (ABAP + JAVA, Netweaver 2004s)
After completing the Visual Admin settings. Service file SAPCCMSR.99 has
been generated automatically. As per the help.sap the service file should
be SAPCCMSR.<Instance No.>, our instance no. was 00 but its was generated
with 99 (SAPCCMSR.99).
Two RFC has been created in Double stack system and one RFC has been
created in ABAP system.
RFC in ABAP system :
SAPCCMSR.HOSTNAME.00 - its not working
(Error Details, ERROR:program hostname.sapccmsr.00 not registered)
RFC in Dual-stack System :
SAP.CCMS.J2EE.SID - its working
SAPCCMSR.HOSTNAME.00 - its not working
(Error Details, ERROR:program hostname.sapccmsr.00 not registered)
While testing the Remote System Topology, we're getting communication
error.
In RZ21, Topology - Agents for Remote Systems - Display Overview, Agent
for SAP System SID tab, Agents for Remote SAP Systems, selecting the
available system (Dual stack system) and give Test Connection means
its throwing Error opening an RFC connection - SAPCCMSR.HOSTNAME.00
Could you please suggest, what we're missing.

What your said was rite, but I'm unable to get J2EE (Java Stack) alert information in RZ20 of the same system, coz., its dual stack system. If we don't have any issue in Java means it should be updated in RZ20 of the same system.
In Dual-stack System:
RZ20 -> CCMS monitor sets -> SAP J2EE Monitor Template -> All Systems -> SID -> J2EE Engines, J2EE Applications, J2EE Log files... these are not updating here.
Could you kindly suggest for above issue.

Error while registering CCMS Agent !!!!

I was trying to configure the SAPCCMSR agent in the development PORTAL which is a JAVA (Non ABAP) stack through "J2ee Visual Administrator".
I am getting the following error:
1 ) ERROR: DSR: Dynamic Library dsrlib.o is Non-Unicode.
Cannot load this library
2) ERROR: Cannot open Monitoring Segment 0 rtc = 245
3) Error during registration of CCMS Customizing destination
User not authorized. Session terminated
