Installing an old Adobe Premiere version

Hello,
I have Adobe Premiere 5.0, and I recently got a windows 8 computer without a disk drive. Just wondering, how do I install the software so I can enter the license key? This is probably just a click away, but I can't find it!

You mean Adobe Premiere 5.0 released in 1998? I doubt you'll find a download available online and, if you do, it is unlikely to run on Win 8.
Or do you mean Premiere Pro CS5 or something else?

I installed my old Adobe Acrobat 7 pro on my win 7 computer but couldn't activate...the CS deleted it and gave me a new linke to install which wouldn't work. They lost all my work. CS sucks.

I had on old copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 which I purchased full price. I needed it to fill in my mothers inheritance tax. I could not activate it so was in the trial period. I contacted Customer support to be allowed to activate it. They asked no questions on which OS I was on and send me a link. The link downloaded the program, but upon install found I had a later version. I resumed the call with customer support (30 minute hold) and told them the issue. They woman (indian) told me to uninstall my old Acrobrat pro and install the program she had sent me. I did that, error messages. She (without notice) had put me on another 30 minute hold. I could no longer install my old version (which they would not let me activate) or the "newer" version because of error codes. I tried the new ID number and the old ID number with my disc. Both were invalid. I called in on a home line as the assistant on the cell line was on permanent hold. He explained they no longer supported that version and it would not work with Windows 7 (funny it worked before I called them, but could not be activated...so I was 23 days into a 30 day trial period). Finally the cell girl came back on and lied to me saying I said the software would not work. All I needed was an activation code, I understood not all features would work, but I had tested what I needed and that worked fine. She argued that it could not install on Windows 7 (false as I had already done it). She hung up. The guy on my land line came back with the same lines, but understood CS had worsened my situation. He had no solution for 30 minutes...until he offered the free trial version of version 11. I have an xp computer (old) I could have used, they just invalidated the serial and activation numbers. They wanted me to buy the new version. I don't need that. I lost half my data. Their CS (indian) sucks to the max.

Since the bookmarks are gone, I no longer have the link to the page for AA7 files that get around the activation issue of the AA7 activation server being gone. In any case, AA7 is not compatible with Win7. You can create workarounds, but both the print driver and AcroTray will not work. You can install another PS driver (even some from Adobe available), change the name to Adobe PDF, and set the port to FILE. Assuming you can find the AA7 link that was part of the old CS and can install it, you will have to run this work around. To use it, you print to the Adobe PDF printer you have created (or even PDF Maker (though not compatible with OFFICE after 2003 as I recall). You then open the file in Distiller to create a PDF. This latter step is what AcroTray normally takes care of, but it does not work in Win7.

Can I sell my old Adobe Premiere 6.0 software

Presently I'm using Premiere Pro CS3 Production Premium software. Earlier, I had purchased the Adobe Premiere 6.0 upgrade on E-bay, but never used the software because I decided to buy CS3. I also own Premiere 5.0 and Premiere Pro. Am I allowed to sell any of these older versions? I'm not sure what procedure I should follow...to be legal.

With a full-paid copy of the software and its license, so long as it has never been used in an upgrade path, Adobe makes it very easy for you to transfer that license. With the FAX'ing of a few forms and signatures, they will take care of the legal aspects for you.
Now, with an upgrade, there could be some differences. One would be the requirement that the purchasor owns a license for a previous version, and that it is upgradable. If this upgrade has never been used, I would assume that Adobe would also handle the sale of this product for you, with even less paperwork, as the transfer of the license would not be involved. I would contact Adobe Sales directly, just to make sure there is not some problem with the sale of this upgrade. I would also get info on what would be required (version-wise) for someone to use this product. That way, you can specify exactly what they are getting and how they can determine if they qualify for its use. I'd not want to sell anything, only to have the buyer find that it was useless to them, because they owned too old a previous version, or similar.
Adobe Sales has a department that does little else, but work with clients on license transfers.

How do I install my old cs2 student version into my new 2014 MacBook pro? All I have is the cd and the new macs don't come with a cd drive. Also are student cs2 versions allowed to be installed to a desktop and a laptop? Help!!!

I Bought a new 2014 laptop and new to install my old cs2 program On it. I've only downloaded in on a desktop before but that one had a cd drive. The new computers don't. Is there anyway to work around this?

Hi, I upgraded to Creative Cloud 2014 and now After Effects and Premiere says that Quicktime is not installed. With Adobe Premiere, the application crashes soon thereafter.

Please help. This is uber-frustrating.

Being a Mac, is Quicktime installed by default, or do you have to manually install it as in the Windows world?

I have Firefox 3.6 on laptop and if I install the latest version of Adobe flash (version 10...) then if I go to a website with any sort of animation, firefox crashes immediately

I am not at my computer right now but I have Firefox version 3.6 (not 4). When I install the latest Adobe flash (version 10.something), my computer crashes whenever I go to any website with any form of information or data that requires the Adobe flash. The only disc error I recieved was 'adobe premiere elements 9 is not installed on the system or is corrupted. This is disc 2 from the software pack.
Disc 1 installed sucessfully. i can see it in my program files. Disc 2 has not installed it is not on my computer.
I cannot get a refund from my store because I have entered the serial # & already registered the product. They cannot resell it.
The store said if I get a reference # from you saying the disc 2 is faulty, I can recieve a refund.

[FUBARed] Adobe Premiere CC (2014) Crashing

Keeps crashing...wtf.
...knew I shouldn't have uninstalled the tried and tested "2013" version.

It's not the 'Not Responding; but eventually responds'. It's straight up, you're just sitting there idle and suddenly Premiere decides to crash (immediate "Stopped Responded; preparing crash report"). Or you get the C++ error caused by this: MSVCR110.dll
Even uninstalling the C++ 2012 Redistributable does not remove the MSVCR110.dll in the \Windows\System32. So installing the C++ 2012 from Microsoft doesn't actually update the MSVCR110.dll

Which has the same crash issue, but with Photoshop (C++ crash from the MSVCR110.dll).
Says to delete MSVCR110.dll if it's still there after running the uninstall, which you can't do because 'Windows Explorer' is using it.
I'll see if uninstalling Premiere CC (2014), rebooting, installing the C++ 2012 from MS's site, rebooting, reinstalling Premiere, rebooting, works.
...If not, I'll just reinstall the older version of Premiere CC.

I notice in Third-party plug-ins for Adobe Premiere Pro this part, Adobe didn't get any such plug-ins. They only have two file support plug-ins and Moyea Importer can fill the blank.

any1 got any idea what is causing that!? I also tried to install creative suite cs5.5 but i got same errors... i'm trying to install trial version

I found a couple errors in your install log.
First you had error DW063 which as you saw refers you to Install log error "Error committing command" | Creative Suite 5, CS5.5. You mentioned the document said to reinstall. If you review the solution it is suggesting there may be a conflict with a previous version being installed. Do you have any previous versions of the Creative Suite installed? If so the document is suggesting you remove those.
The second error is DF037 which points us to document Install log "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" read, write system file errors | Creative Suite 5, CS5.5. This document is basically stating you have permission issues under your current user account and the installer is having problems writing files to your hard drive.

Reinstalling Adobe Premiere Elements 10

My software stopped to work. I need to reinstall it on my Mac. After un-installing the corrupt Adobe Premiere Elements 10 I was trying to install it again from the disks (starting with disc #3) and typing correct serial number installation started but ejected the disk with few prompted messages (Exit Code 7). Exporting Problems In Adobe Premiere CS 3

In Adobe Premiere CS 3 When I Export Video In Microsoft Avi With Video Compressor some codecs work like Wmv,Cinepack,Indeo 5.10 but the following Video codecs don't work properly They are as follows:
ffd video show
DivX
xvid
Mpeg 1 & 2 video
The only codecs mentioned above have problems as when i export videos the video gets choppy and gray and ffd video show even fails to compile this have been happening from the time the first adobe Premiere Version was released but now I thought to use it again as I thought that Adobe may have rectified the problems in Adobe Premiere Cs3 Can Any one help me to solve this problem...I am also using codec pack name K-lite 4.1.7 but the problem of this is not caused by the codec pack...too.So I need your suggestions...

Is this what you meant? im still stuck as to why the sequence is too zoomed in, I also saw that the codecs for the Video were not installed. So i downloaded K-lite codec pack and still doesnt work.
