Installing an update for a game
I don't know what I am doing very much, but when I load a game on my iMac it says that there is a soft ware update available for it. when it downloads the update it tells me to install and relaunch. Almost immediately after clicking that button it tells me: "Update Error! game does not have permission to write to the application's directory! are you running off a disk image? If not, ask your system administrator for help." I have no idea what it is talking about.
When you load the game, does it appear in the Applications or some other folder? Or does it appear within its own folder which you had to click a .dmg file to get to show? If this is the case, move the game out of the folder to somewhere suitable on your Mac such as the Applications folder (it will copy, leaving the original in place). Then run the game from this copy.

Try resetting the iPad. Simultaneously hold down the Home and the On buttons until the iPad shuts off. Ignore the off slider if it should appear. This should take only about ten seconds or so. Once shut down is compete, turn the iPad back on.

I accepted/installed an update for iMovie and it turns out that this version is not compatible with my graphics card. So now I can no longer open or use iMovie. Any ideas on how to get around this - how to revert to the previous version??
Look in your Applications folder. If your system behaved as expected, you should have an iMovie 9.0 folder in your Applications folder. Apple moved the old version there as even they suspected the new versions was a train wreck.

If you are using the Lion or Mountain Lion operating system on your Mac.....
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon
A message will be displayed if there are any available updates. Click to update if that is the case.
If you are using the Leopard or Snow Leopard operating system......
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, the click Manual Setup
Click on the word Version (3rd line on the page) and any available updates will be displayed. Click on Update to proceed. -
I have not been able to update my fairy farm game for the last 5days as it quit at launch. I am afraid to delete and reinstall the game as i might lose all. Anyone knows if there is an update for this game? Please help. Thanks

Every time I try to install an update for iTunes 11.0.2, I get an error message 103. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix this?
I did it the .dmg way alone and has problems with itunes crashing. This is a better way to ensure that there is not anything left behind to cause issues.
You need to backup your computer then uninstall I-tunes and reinstall itunes.
Delete iTunes
Deleting iTunes is not recommended unless you know what you’re doing.
Launch Terminal from the UTILITIES within Applications
Type the following commands:
cd /Applications/
This brings you into the Applications directory, the next command deletes iTunes itself:
sudo rm -rf iTunes.app/
Enter the Administrator password to confirm
There is no warning or confirmation other than entering the admin password, iTunes will immediately be deleted, effectively uninstalling it from the Mac.
Deleting the iTunes application will NOT delete the ITUNES or music, and any purchases bought through iTunes will still remain tied to the Apple ID used to originally buy them.
You can download the newest version from Apple, and running their installer will bring iTunes back to life on your computer.

Cannot install latest updates for Bridge and Photoshop CC. I get the following message: "Update Failed. The download appears corrupted. U43M1D207."
I have tried to install at different times over three different days with the same result each time. My version of Bridge now no longer shows DNG files except as an icon. The update is supposed to install Camera Raw version 9.I had the 204 version of your error using the direct download links proved on this thread solved my problem.. hope you have same success... had to log off/in cloud manager before it showed all apps updated

After instaling the update for OS yesterday (saturday 7.10.2012) my macbook pro will not start. The instaling proses start but stopp after 2-3 minutes. I have started mayby 10 tims know but it stops every time. Help, its just a monts ago my iMac hard fail
Actually it sometimes gets a little further, the display will dim and the pointer will appear and then whoop it will turn off. if i do a verbose start up, it will finish all the steps, the white screen will appear and dim and then it will turn off.

I've bee trying to install the update for Adobe Flash Player for some time and keep getting install failed....."A required file (:3) could not be installed." Of course I'm going to the suggested installation problems website but nothing there seems to address this specfic failure mode. Can anybody help?

Hey I finally got an older vesion of itunes to work!!! 10.7 x64 for windows 7
After uninstalling all apple products even quicktime
I had to delete everything from (program files, and program files x64, program data,)
And all downloads from apple, and I went in to search deleted other stuff from apple, and itunes
But definently not my itunes library and Playlist
Down loaded 10.7 x64 for windows 7, but checked (do not start when done)
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my PC
I ran geek tech tool box same as reg cure pro, also PC Tools registry cleaner, and CC Cleaner
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my PC
And wallah... It finally works, and I Love the older version anyways.
Easier to download and transfer music!!!!!
