Installing Analytics 1.0 Composites

I am looking for instructions to install/load Analytics 1.0 Composites. I have already installed Viscual Composer 6.0. I aslo have the composites. However, I wasn't able to find any instructions on the actual install.

SAP xApp Analytics v1.1 is currently in ramp up. Version 1.0 was previously available only as part of a pilot (prior to the official ramp up).
SAP xApp Analytics v1.1 uses VC 7.0 (ie. EP 7.0 / NW2004s). However, it is possible to install a standalone NW2004s system, where the Visual Composer and Analytics are used for development purposes only. You can then transport the iView (technically, transport the PAR) out to your EP 6.0 system and run it on there. Therefore, the separate NW2004s box can be sized very small, and this way, you do not have to upgrade your productive EP 6.0 system straight away to use Analytics (we have many customers on the ramp up already using this scenario).

Issue while installing WCS using omii.ini: Database ping failed

I am trying to install WCS on local linux VM. I am following the document 'Oracle WebCenter Sites: Installing on Oracle WebLogic Application Server".
Following are the things I have been able to do successfully:
Install Oracle DB, create a database and then create a user for this database
Install WebLogic server, create domain, create admin server, managed server, and finally create a datasource. THe datasource connection to the DB created in step 1 above is successfull.
I downloaded the WCS installer from Oracle Website 'WebCenterSites_11.1.1.6_bp1'. I am installing using silent installer using omii.ini file.
During installation, on receiving the prompt to install CS and CAS applications, I installed them successfully via WebLogic console.
I tested the URL 'http://localhost:7001/cs/HelloCS' and it showed me the Oracle WCS 11g page.
Now, when I go back to the wcs installation terminal and hit Enter, it gives following error:

It looks like DB ping is getting failed.
But I am not sure how to resolve this error.

I got the ping issue resolved today, there was an issue in the data source. Finally I was able to complete the installation successfully.
But there is one more issue now. After completing the installation, I am trying to access the URL to get to the WCS login page, but with no success.
Below, I am mentioning few URLs that I tried, and the outcome:
http://localhost:7001/cs/HelloCS , This URL gives me a page with some static content messages like 'Welcome to Oracle WebCenter Sites 11gR1'. Then there are some text lines in blue color. I think this page is working as expected.
http://localhost:7001/cs/login , this URL automatically gets redirected to the URL 'http://localhost:7003/cas/login?service=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A7001%2Fcs%2Fwem%2Ffatwire%2Fwem%2FWelcome' and I get an error message 'Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:7003.'
http://localhost:7001/cas/login, this takes me to login page, where when I enter fwadmin@xceladmin credentials, I am taken to JASIG Central Authentication Service page, which is again static, and I can't do anything on this page
http://localhost:7001/cs/Satellite?c=Page&cid=1327351719456&pagename=avisports%2FPage%2FHomeLayout1 , this takes me to the Avisports site, which is functional
http://localhost:7001/cs/Satellite?c=Page&childpagename=FirstSiteII%2FFSIILayout&cid=1124747609916&pagename=FSIIWrapper, this takes me to he FirstSit page, which is again functional
Issue: I am not getting the main login page, where I would get 3 sites(Avisports/FirstsiteII) in the dropdown.
Looks like there is something wrong going on.

Error while installing SAP NetWeaver 7

Hi,
I am getting the below message when i am trying to install the SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 - Developer Edition.
Running msiexec failed with return code 1603: Fatal error during installation.
Commandline was msiexec.exe /norestart /L sapmmcX86u.log /i sapmmcX86u.msi /qn
If you want the installer to retry, choose Yes. If you want the installer to abort the installation, choose No.
Please help me to resolve this error.

Hi,
I have faced u201Cmsiexec failed with return code 1603u201D error many times during SAP installation and solved this issue with below mentioned procedure.
Solution:
Just change the location of temp directory to empty folder in user environment variable without cancel installation in current user session. After that, click on yes button to continue the installation. If installation will be ended after click on yes button, restart the installation with continue old installation option.

How can I post-install NWDI into CE 7.1 SR5?

I have installed the SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 Evalution SDN Version and the suitable NWDS for this. Both is working fine. But now I want to use a global dictionary for my simple datatypes, so that I can use them independent from a special development project.
As I have already find out the best way to realize this would be to use the NWDI. There´s no NWDI installed on other pcs. All development should done on one local pc, which already uses a local AS Java.
What do I have to do for using a global dictionary in the NWDI?
Do I have to download extra components for fitting in the NWDI in CE or NWDS?
Or have I just to change Configurations of the NWDS?

yes, my sources are also stored locally. Furthermore I will export some of my WebDynpros into SAP Portal.
For making reusing datatypes easier I want to build up a Global Dictionary, where I can store all my SimpleDatatypes. And of course all old and new NWDS-projects should have access to this Global Dictionary.
(For these readers who are also fit in developing with ABAP: the reason for my question ist that I´m looking for a complement of the ABAP Dictionary to have the benefits of something like that also in Java.)
I think the NWDI supports this. Does the NWDS support this also without the NWDI? If yes, please tell me how I can build up such a dictionary in the NWDS.

Analytics 2.5 Issue on WCI

Hi,
Installing Analytics 2.5 on top of WCI results in XPException: Fatal error loading lib file analyticstag which breaks Weblogic Server startup.
The Release notes indicates that this issue should be considered as warning only though it breaks the WCI installation.
Do I need to setup the classpath on the Weblogic Server side ?

This was being caused by a table admuser.reportdate table being empty, which will be the case in a new installation.
To fix, run the "Publish Enterprise Data" Global Scheduled Service from the P6 GUI.
Then do the configStar utility.

So, the download is done. But now I have a problem with the installation. I couldn't find any post explaining the same problem. My installation ends with message: The installatin of SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 is finished, but some serious errors occured during the install. Please see the installation log C:\usr\sap\CE1\insthome\primaryApplicationServer\work\install.log for details.

I am installating Analytics 1.1 on Plumtree 5.03/colab 4.02.
Installation went fine and tracking all community/portal traffic. How ever sync job is not retreiving projects and document information. Getting errors like

Analytics not recording usage statistics

I installed G6 and analytics 1.2. Installation went successfull and sync job updates the database with new communities and users. How ever no portal usage statistics are being recorded on the database.
I created new communities and users, ran the sync job, accessed the communties using the new user / community.
Reviewed the analytics database, no entry for user logins. I ran the sync job again and verified. Still no entries. How and when does the portal usage statistics gets recorded on to the system?

Our Plumtree Portal G6 and analytics server are installed on the same computer. Analytics does not recording usage statistics, it shows "no data to display". Why? What should I do?
I have installed analytics many times, the same results are "no data to display".
For once, I got analytics data for one day, the day I installed analytics. After that day, nothing. The same problem as Michael Capuano.

Analytics 2.5 - Analytics Collector

With what product would you generally install the Analytics Collector? Should we install Analytics Collector on the Analytics Server with Analytics Console?
Below is our current Anlaytics 2.1 configuration for ALUI 6.1 which didn't include the Analytics Collector at the time.
Interaction Analytics Component - Portal Server
Image Service Component - Image Server
Analytics Console - Analytics Server
Analytics Automation Jobs - Automation Server

The Collector can indeed be installed on the same machine. We have the collector installed on the same machine in our Prod environment.

AIA install error ant deploy sca_AIAErrorTaskAdministrationProcess_rev1.0

Hi,
I am installing AIA and at the time of deployment of composites and applications it's failing. Below is the error I am getting. "AIAHomeApp" and "AIAApplication" got installed
but the remaining composites and applications it's not. It's exiting on failure when deploying the sca_AIAErrorTaskAdministrationProcess_rev1.0.jar. Don't know why it's giving deployment error
during composite deployments as AIAHomeApp and AIAApplication got installed fine. Any help is appreciated.
Am using SOA 11.1.1.5. Have a 2 node cluster environment with OHS for software load-balancing. OHS is frontend with NetScalar Load Balancer.

Yes Https works fine for all the URL's and that's how we access it currently
OHS is running as xxsoau and the owner of */tmp/_wl_proxy* is xxsoad. So wondering if I rename that directory and create the same directory as xxsoau the user that runs OHS will it solve the issue. As it looks like even setting chmod 777 permissions on the directory am getting the same errors.
Or is there a way to set a custom directory rather than pointing to /tmp/_wl_proxy. I read about setting WLTempDir in http.conf file. But I have a custom cluster.conf file that is included at the end of httpd.conf. My custom cluster.conf file is below so wondering if have to set WLTempDir where in the below text I need to add that to fix the above error so can deploy the AIA composites. This is blog where it talks about this but need more info on where to set this variable in my case as I have a custom conf file.

I was facing exactly the same problem since Friday I installed Analytics Server on a pre-production platform.As suggested by Eric, I searched into the log files of Analytics to get something wrong.I found

In the analyticsui.log file.
My first understanding was that this javascript file was missing or corrupted. So Analytics Remote Server was encountering exactly the same kind of error as the client browser.But I checked that the file was present on the imageserver.
So I tried the exact HTTP request (http://img-rec.portal.groupe-casino.fr/imageserver/plumtree/common/private/js/jsutil/jscomponent.xml) being logged on the Analytics Remote Server. The request did not finished. In my case, I had a problem to access the imageserver (problem with the VLAN configuration and hardware loadbalancer for imageserver).Solving this, there's no more problem.I encourage you to check the accessibility of the imageserver from the Analytics Remote Server.
I was encouraged to search this way because I had one time the same kind of error with the content server. Content Server was requesting for a javascript file of the imageserver and never got it. This resulting with a blocking state for Content Server. In this case, the javascript file was really missing. But I discovered this time that such remote servers as Content Server also request for the imageserver component.
My understanding in the case of the problem with the PTHTTPGETRequest missing function is the following.The PTHTTPGETRequest function is hosted in the PTXML.js javascript file.This javascript file is located in the E:\sysapp\plumtree\ptimages\imageserver\plumtree\common\private\js\jsutil\XXXXXX directory. The beginning of the directory depends on your installation. XXXXXX refers to the current version (something like 157085)This is the same for other fundamental javascript functions for the client.So the client needs to make the appropriate includes of javascript files according to your installation and the products you're using.The name of the files to be included are determined by the Remote Server (Analytics in our case). To get the right version to include, Analytics has to access the http://img-rec.portal.groupe-casino.fr/imageserver/plumtree/common/private/js/jsutil/jscomponent.xml. This jscomponent.xml file contains the id of the current version (157085 for instance). Because the Analytics Remote Server don't get this file, I guess it doesn't know what is the right version. So it doesn't put any include clause into the HTML answer to the client.But for any reason, the Analytics Server put in the HTML answer the code with the PTHTTPGETRequest.In the HTML page, there's the PTHTTPGETRequest call but no include. This leads to the blocking problem.
I also established this analysis thanks to the name of the component logging the error message: JSIncludesHandler. I understood this component is in charge of defining the right javascript includes for the client.

Hana B1 Analytics - cannot initialize companies

Hi All, I have an installation with SAP HANA B1H Analytics. I have installed analytics succesfully, however in the SLD service - Administration Console I cannot see any companies and cannot initialize them, Also in the home page of analytics cannot see server name and details, Anyone came across this problem.

No, I have SAP Business One 9.0 HANA PL12 running on Suse Linux 11 SP2 where B1 Hana Analytics is part of the system and runs on the same HANA database that SAP B1H runs.

OKHttpException for Analytics

Hello, I am getting an error on my installation of Analytics. I have installed analytics on the same box as the portal. The installation was successful and I have imported the pte file and see the Analytics console and community. When I load the community page, all portlets return the error "Error details: OKHttpException - Exception occured while processing HTTP request. Request processing stage was [1 - Trying to establish a socket connection to the remote host.] Bytes sent: [0] Error description: [Connect failure].
There is no information on this error.

Strangely this was solved by deleting the user account that was getting this error message. I have no idea why particular accounts get these type of errors but it seems to have fixed two different issues with http type error codes.

Deskjet 2510 will not install driver software

I'm trying to install the driver software to my laptop but everytime it pops up and says "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
USB composite device
This operation requires an interactive window station"
So I'm not quite sure exactly what I am suppose to do here to get this rolling and would appreciate any help.
