Installing and Launching iTunes
Hi, I recently installed iTunes and while it loads and opens on my PC, I'm unable to access the iTunes store. In fact, there's a scrolling bar that says "Accessing iTunes store..." It's done this for about 6 hours. Any insight?
As well, when I attempt to sync my phone, it says that it has the latest iOS software available. I currently have iOS 4. Additionally, I'm unabe to connect to the iPhone server. Any insight here?

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

Error while installing and launching iTunes
Hello
Windows XP Professional, version 2002, SP2
Just bought a new iPod 60G, but can't make it to install iTunes either from the iPod installation CD or iTunes6 from apple site. The installation goes all the way but when I hit 'finish' it send an error that iTunes operation will be terminated. I get the same error when I try to launch iTunes, and when I remove iTunes.
I did make it to install an earlier version; iTunes 4, but both 4 and 6 didn't install quickTime at all. I installed quickTime 7.0.4 separately.
In addition, I have problems importing videos to my iTunes.
Thanks,
DoronSame scenario here, except I had I-tunes installed and running perfectly up until a recent crash, and since then I can't get it to install and run again.
Or rather, it seems to install, and then pops up that error message and shuts down.
It's created the desktop icon and everything.
I tried shutting down Norton Internet Security to run the install, and it didn't make any difference. I tried to manually configure the internet access, but it's still no-go.
This is just P'n me off, because I-tunes was a super program when I had it working. I'm having some serious musical withdrawl symptoms here...

I'm using a 15" Macbook Pro running OSX6.8 and cannot upgrade. I have a subscription to Adobe CC but none of these work on this so I was on with Adobe for 5 hours trying to install and launch Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Muse, and Acrobat Pro from CS6. Well, InDesign is the only one that works and I have a ton of work due! I don't have a serial number for Photoshop or Illustrator except for CS3, and they don't work. InDesign gave me no problems. Illustrator says it can't work on this machine. Photoshop needs a serial number. I'm stumped and getting anxious and freaked out. Can anyone help? Adobe Chat is down right now.
if you have a cc subscription, close ps > sign out and then back in to your cc desktop > open ps.
ai cs6 requires:
Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7. Adobe Creative Suite 5, CS5.5, and CS6 applications support Mac OS X v10.8 and v10.9 when installed on Intel-based systems.*
2 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended)
2 GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
1024 x 768 display (1280 x 800 recommended) with 16-bit video card -
when connecting my Ipad on mac mini and launching Itunes, the "INFO" is not displayed and my calendar and contacts are not synchronized

I've installed and reinstalled iTunes 11.1.1 for Vista 64-bit yet keep getting the message "iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CDs you need to reinstall iTunes." I meticulously removed all traces of iTunes before reinstall as recommended and instructed step-by-step on Apple's website. Any ideas how I can get around this, anybody?

I keep trying to install and reinstall itunes but keep getting apple application support not found...how do i fix this?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Application Support won't install normally.

Itunes update failed to install and now Itunes won't run
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

I have installed and reinstalled iTunes several times. I am still getting an error that there is no disc burning software found and the computer keeps telling me to reinstall iTunes - it says that there is other burning software that is interferring but I haven't installed anything lately. I was able to burn discs on the earlier version. Now what?
Many thanks b Noir
This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.
Sorry, just this minute went to insert image and it is giving me a message saying this sort of content is not allowed?.
The most recent key I altered is in: HKey _local _machine. System\class - 4D36E965-E325-11CEBFC1-08002BE10318. Upper Filter data: Upper filter NTIDrvr SiRem GEARAspiWDN.

I'm having problems installing iTunes on a Win 7 machine. The app will not launch correctly. It was working at one time, but now I have no idea why it would not work. I tried uninstalling some applications and still nothing. I did have to delete the Quicktime folders because it did not show up as being installed. Should I reinstall it since it doesnot look like iTunes reinstalled it?
Are you getting an error message when you try to launch iTunes? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)

Unable to Install and run iTunes
After downloading and installing iTunes from Apple.com, it does not work. The error message shows unable to read memory at some address. I had used the repair option when I tried to re install it also. Still the problem lies. How do I resolve the problem? If anyone can resolve this kindly send me a mail at [email protected]
+The error message shows unable to read memory at some address.+
Checking on something before proceeding. What are the numbers being cited there for the address?
Can you also check to see if your QuickTime is working? (iTunes needs a functioning QuickTime in order to work correctly, and sometimes a broken QuickTime can produce error messages similar to what you are reporting when trying to launch iTunes.) -
I have instlled and uninstalled iTunes on multiple occasions but iTunes fails to start with message "Apple Application support is required to run iTunes .......... Error 2 (Windows error 2)". Most most frustrating. Can anyone help, pleeeeeeease!!
iTunes "Apple Application Support is required... Error 2" and possible fix.
Hi Redgilly (and others).
I just resolved this on Win Vista (should apply equally for Win7 too). Please uninstall iTunes before proceeding though. I'll walk you through the process I followed, if you like you can jump straight to the Solution section.
Problems:
The initial error during the installation of iTunes was:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publicKeyToken='1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b",processorarchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x8007054F
The error (after installing iTunes) when trying to run iTunes was:
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2).
After trying various fixes around the forums I came across this MSKB article, which relates to the first installation error:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2688946
This lead me to trying to install MS Visual C++ but I received the following error trying to install that:
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly ‘Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type=”win32”,version=”8.0.50727.762”,publicKeyToken=”1fc8b3 b9a1e18e3b”,processorArchitecture=”amd64”’. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070BC9. Assembly interface: IassemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, component: {837BF1EB-D770-94EB-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}
Note: The installation of VC++ rolls back when it fails.
Solution:
Through this error I found this MSKB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946414
The Automated MS "Fix It" msi package didn’t work.
Note: Please backup your registry first (see the above MSKB article for instructions).
I opened the registry and (as instructed in the MSKB article) deleted the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\
PendingXmlIdentifier
NextQueueEntryIndex
AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving
Reboot and reinstall iTunes.
I hope this helps.
