Installing and uninstalling Quick time
I am trying to install quick time and every time I get this message '' The installer encountered errors before requested operations for quicktime could be completed, retry later. '' I have quick time in my add / remove programs so I try to delete but then it says ''fatal error during installation ''

No need to apologise.
Given that you're getting a BEX I think we'd better check for old QuickTime componentry on the PC. (Other things can cause a BEX, but this seems a likely possibility.)
First we'll adjust some view settings on the PC.
1. Open My Computer from the desktop or Start menu.
2. In the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab.
4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders" make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected, and the "Hide extensions for known file types" option is unchecked.
5. Click OK.
Now in "My Computer" open Local Disk C: (or whichever drive your operating system is installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "System32" folder.
What files or folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the file or folder name? (In a standard installation of QuickTime, you should see precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

I cannot access the iTunes store from any of my computers. When I updated to v. 10.7 it made my laptop unable to access just like with my two desktops. I have installed and uninstalled numerous times.
Nothing happens. iTunes just hangs up every time, saying "Accessing iTunes Store." It does that for a very, very long time, then nothing. Here is what happens when I run diagnostics.

The one thing that is locking up fire fox is the plug ins. You have to check to see if a plug in is locking up firefox first of all.
To see the processes press : CTRL+ALT+DEL. then click the tab marked "Processes" Then look for Fire Fox and click on it. Click the Yes button when the warning box show up.
Then do the say for "Plug-in Container" I believe that is called.
this is because all ads are now flash ads or video ads. They lock my computer up all the time.
When the CTRL+ALT+DEL are pressed. Keep this minimized and you can see if your computer is running at 100% memory near the clock. If the box is totally green, you are running a lot of programs on your system. Check the processes and find out what is not needed. Also watch your virtual memory. Rule of thumb is 1.5x total memory.
Then now it would be able to shut down the computer the right way.

I have tried to access the itunes store by many different means. I know I have account balance as I put in 2 gift cards back in March and have not used them all. I recently installed and uninstalled itunes several times but I still cannot open it on my computer. When plugging in my ipod shuffle it does not automatically load either although my computer says it's working correctly.
Click on the "Start" button. Click "Run." Type the word "cmd" in the open box. When the DOS screen comes up, type "netsh winsock reset." Press "Enter." Type "exit" to close the DOS window and go back to Windows.
Restart the computer.

How can I download itunes when I get the following errors ..ituneshelper did not install correctly error 7..I .have installed and uninstalled a dozen times with various fixes...b noir for example and used Revo to clean up.
This has been a problem for 6 weeks now, I retry when I have time and patience and use my other laptop which is also Windows 7 and runs with no problem.
Every attempt fails when all seems fine on the desktop and I try to log on to Itunes I get the errors.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Buffer Override and Can't uninstall Quick time
I just upgraded to Quick Time Pro for $32.00 and can't get quick time or itunes to open. I tryed to uninstall Quick Time but it says error and can't uninstall. I get a Buffer Override when trying to open. I believe that I just got ripped off for $32.00. Apple must be short of money and ripping us off.

How do I uninstall Quick Time Player 10 from a Mac
I cannot find an article that explains how to uninstall Quick Time Player, version 10, from my Mac Snow Leopard. I need to install Quick Time 7 in order to install Quick Time Pro 7. Just moving the program to the Trash did not help.
Thanks.I need to uninstall quicktime completely. It says that it is open when I try to trash/delete it. There is no other error message. I cannot delete it because it says that it is open. I cannot open it because it has become invisible and will not show up when I try to open it. When I click on the icon it flashes as it should as if it is opening but it does not open. It does not show up on my list of open apps. It may be (and probably is) corrupted but I cannot tell. Either way, I want to completely erase it and re install it. just tell me how.
QT is a structure embedded in the in your platform's operating system. To remove/replace it, you would have to delete/reinstall the entire operating system. On the other hand, the QT 10 Player is an application that provides a graphich interface with the QT structure embedded in your system. It can be removed/replace by simply deleting the QT Player app and reinstalling another copy. This is easily done on Snow Leopard system by simply extracting/installing another copy of the app from you included system discs but an be a real problem under Lion since most people do not keep a a local image of the recovery installation software on their local drive. -
Error on iTunes library file after installing and uninstalling 8.1
I downloaded 8.1 after being prompted. After installing 8.1, I could not synch my IPod. I uninstalled 8.1, reinstalled 8.02, and now I am getting this error.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this? I just purchased adobe premiere elements 12 and at the end of the installation it mentioned to go to apple . com and get quick time? I'm interested in doing time lapse video. Not sure as what to do... Any and All help would be Greatly Appreciated, Thanks, in advance.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Have you updated 12 to the 12.1 Update? If not, please do so using an opened project's Help Menu/Update.
The latest version of QuickTime is a requirement for Premiere Elements. Among other things, without it you will not have QuickTime export presets when you get to the Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime exports. So, please download and install latest version of QuickTime to computer with Premiere Elements 12/12.1. QuickTime like Premiere Elements requires that it be run with you as Administrator. Is your User Account one with Administrative Privileges?

I reinstall and install and restart my pc and it is the sameI have error 2378.
I tried all the fixes (uninstal completely) I've tried installing Quicktime standalone, same error.
One day my computer installed some windows updates. next time i tried i tunes, it said it couldnt' find RICHED20.dll.
Tried removing the updates. then tried removing/reinstalling itunes. Everytime I try to run the install package I get "error with package 2378". I tried restoring my system to before the windows updates. No luck.

I made a slideshow in iphoto and downloaded it to a flashdrive and also exported it to my desktop and to Quick Time Player. Then I burned it to a DVD. It will not play on a PC. What can I do to get it to play on a PC?

Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.
