Installing APEX (first timer)

Hi,
From http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/download.html, I downloaded the file "Oracle Application Express 3.2.1" upon unzipping it does not seem to have any executable file.
All I could find are various text files in different folder hierarchy and help files.
Did I downloaded the right file or was it not a complete download, or do I need to download from the very first version?

* Make sure you have the right version of the web toolkit before you install (docs cover this)
* My dads.conf file is usally empty, but I can copy, paste, and edit the one in the installation docs
* I can't get Apex to work with thePlsqlRequestValidationFunction entry there (NT installation)
* Make sure you edit the dads.conf file as per the installation instructions
* Make sure you copy the images foler as per the installation instructions

To set up iCloud, open System Preferences > iCloud, and follow its steps to use iCloud

Error on fresh install when first time running.

I have Adobe CS4 applications installed except for InDesign. Today I tried to install it on a windows 7 64bit machine with my other Adobe products. When I try to start it nothing happens. I can see the application running in the task manager but nothing starts. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling it but still nothing. I saw on the forums to remove preferences but there's no folder related to that my guess is due the fact that it never ran for the first time. The only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling everything and then reinstalling all Adobe products. I would rather not have to do that. Thanks in advance.

What were the suggested apps to install the first time you open the AppStore?

I just got a new ipad...never used one before so please bear with me. I just want to ask...what were the list of suggested apps to install that popped up the very first time you open the appstore? It was maybe four or five apps that was listed. One of them was iBook I think and an app to find your ipad...I don't remember the rest. Does anyone remember or knows the list? Thanks!

InDesign does not start after installing it first time due to missing plug ins ("Zusatzmodule")

I was using up to now InDesign CS3, but I bought the upgrade to InDesign CS 6.
After installing the new version I tried to start it, but during the start it complains about missing plugins and stops.
So, I can not run CS 6.
The missing modules are: SVG Export.apln and Dynamicdosuments.rpln.
What can I do to make CS 6 running?

thank you for your answer.
I have to admit, that unfortunately I dont understand the reply. I was uninstalling, running the Adobe CS cleaner tool for CS 6, reinstalling (as suggested in other entryies of the forum). No improvement.
Question A: Do I have to run the cleaner tool for all CS including CS 3? I am a bit afraid of side effects and have nothing running afterwards. Since nobody confirmed in the forum that this will help I dont dare to play around.
Question B: Coming back to your proposal, what do you mean by proper admin privileges? I am the only user on this laptop and never did something to any admin configurations.
Finally, I installed CS 6 on another laptop. This works. However, this one I dont want or can't work with for other reasons.

Installing windows first time boot camp

I have installed windows 7 on a partition in my macbook pro and am now unable to get back to the OSX. It defaults into starting in windows 7, is there something I am missing?

You skipped the Boot Camp Guide.
There is now in Windows a quick switch icon; a Boot Camp control panel with its own startup; as well as the one in OS X. T here is Apple OSSwitcher added to Windows services now.
x = Mac OS X on startup also in addition to Option key

Windows had to be the default to do all the updates and restarts.
guess you never tried boot Mac from another OS X volume.
Also in rare cases zap PRAM to clear the default OS.

Lost serial number before I could install the first time. What do I do?

I lost my serial number after I got this program. Now I only get a 30 day trial. How do I find the number to register my product and be able to use this program. Or am I out the 80.00 bucks ?

Well, if no answered you I guess I won't get an answer either. Bummer. Adobe is providing very POOR customer service right now. Now way to contact them and the online support just puts you in a vicious loop with no way to contact them. I'm not impressed.

actually i followed a vedio on youtube where only these steps were shown (must be shwoing upgrading)

Installed Firefox 3.6.8 for the first time and it keeps crashing

I just installed Firefox for the first time and when it is finished installing I tell it to start. It tries and as soon as it does I get a crash report. Every time I click Restrt Firefox it comes up with the same crash error, which is the following:

I am running this on a Duo Core processor, Intel, Laptop, Windows 7 with 4-gigs of ram. I have never had a problem with other programs crashing like this before.

You mean out of this whole community no one knows how to fix this ... I wanted to give Firefox a try, but honestly, I am starting to see why I have not switched from IE, it is stable and I get answers when I post to the Microsoft boards as well as the answer to everything I have ever had an issue with is out there ... what is worse is that I am not the only one with this problem and no one can still help because I am sure us five are not the only ones that have run into this.

I am trying to run my registered CS6 Design Standard programs for the first time after install. InDesign runs OK, but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trail mode. How do I activate those two?

I can't get my registered versions of CS6 Photoshop and Illustrator to run in full mode. I installed CS6 Design Standard online end of June (an upgrade from CS5.5), on my old MacBook Pro. I didn't run the programs then as I was waiting on arrival of new MacBook Pro. I migrated the programs from my old MacBook to the new, and today tried to run those programs for the first time. InDesign work OK (after an initial hiccup) but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trial mode, and won't let me save files. My CS6 Design Standard shows with it's registration in my Adobe Account. All seems in order, but Illustrator and Photoshop won't run in registered mode. Can you please help?

Please use the uninstallers to remove your current installation. They are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once the uninstall is complete you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. if you hid the menu bar and the navigation bar simply press the alt button, this will bring back the menu bar and form there you can right click and select which bars you want shown
